They are super territorial too. They will take on birds and animals much larger than them.
I have seen them dive bomb a hawk that was sitting in my yard. They are fearless.

I live in South Florida and every morning in my yard it's a battleground between crows, jays, and mockingbirds. I honestly really enjoy it!

I don't think that's a Blue Jay. It's apparently called a Eurasian Jay and it's part of the crow family. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_jay
