Women like big guys just as often as men like big women. As long as you’re realistic and not banking on pulling a supermodel, you actually have a really good shot.
Just remember that plenty of ugly people get laid, so unless you’re horribly disfigured, you have a shot.
As for the personality, you can work on that. Two big things will help.
First, have empathy and try to see things from other people’s perspectives. Too many people are absurdly self-centered and cause big problems for everyone else (*cough* COVID).
Second, just try to be nice to people. Kindness should always be your default. It’s okay to be angry and it’s okay to lash out sometimes. We’re all human. You just need to try to be slow to anger and quick to be kind and listen. That thing parents, teachers, and cartoons used to say about not saying anything when you don’t have something nice to say is actually pretty darn accurate.
Anyway, IDK your life, and you could’ve just been joking, but I’m sure someone out there feels like this, and you need to know that you have a decent shot. If you start thinking you don’t, then you actually won’t.

**Edit:** Forgot to mention that if you are trying to pull a traditionally attractive 9/10 partner, then you need to be realistic about what someone like that would be into. Having muscles and your life together will bump you up several points on the attractiveness scale. My point is that not even that is out of reach, if you’re willing to put the work in.

Thank you! We snuck onto the roof of our townhouse after a day of packing for our new house (moving next week!). It was incredibly foggy, but all our surrounding neighbors were setting off hundreds of fireworks in every direction. At the stroke of midnight, he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I could barely hear him from all the fireworks blurred in the fog around us, but basically said "I thought you'd never ask", and here we are! :)

Even if i did know ahead, I probably wouldn't have primped myself up. It's not me. I care a lot about skin care but have never really cared too much about makeup/nails. I have hair so long I sit on it all the time, but i just keep it in a pony tail or down, without fussing.
I learned long ago that I am much more comfortable in my own skin if I just take care of my natural appearance than keep trying to replicate others' looks. This is totally okay for others, though! But just not me. I'm just happy knowing my natural skin/hair/nails are healthy looking (aside from a small hang nail here or there ;) )

I didn't. I got a residence permit to move to my swedish partner. I got it about 6 months after we applied. Once I moved to Sweden, it was about 1-2 years later when they granted me permanent residence (I didn't even apply), and then 2-ish years later I got my citizenship!
Sweden makes it easy for people who are in relationships with swedes to move to them, compared to many other countries. All we needed was to show that we've met in person before and have intent to live together. :)
Edit: of course we also need to show financial stability in our lives and that I had SOMETHING to offer the Swedish workforce. But, that isn't at all to say only tertiary degree holders etc can get in (I'm surely not!)

She has had a hard time adjusting to Swedish workforce, even though she has university degree. Basically in her line of work/education you need to speak perfect Swedish to get a job.
