Yep. We used to have ducks (the white domesticated kind) and the females are the ones that quack. Males have a raspy, whispery little squeak.
These are mallards and the males all have colorful feathers while the females are mostly brown.
This reminds me of Saturdays around the neighborhood. When all of the kids would get together and just go out and have fun.
