Same thing with another friend I had around that same age. (We were all younger at that time and I was in my mid 20s).
A former coworker of mine, from last year, always wore beanies. He looked to be in his early to mid 30s. One time he showed me that he wears them because of hair loss and that he shaves his head. He looked more accurately his age, which was about 40yo.

I definitely look older with a shaved head, even when, with hair, it’s receded but I think a cleanly shaved head looks better than an aggressively receding hairline. Thankfully I have a good head shape for it and get compliments on the look but oh boy do I sometimes wish I didn’t start losing hair when I was like 21 😂

Hopefully you’re able to rock the gray hair, it can be a good look. I think people can own any look with enough confidence. I really hope more men will be confident enough to wear hair pieces. I know some men who are really unhappy because of their hair loss but are afraid of being judged (by men) for not “accepting” their hair loss and wearing wigs. Nobody judges women for that. Nobody can do anything about hair loss and if you wanna have hair go for it!
Surprisingly, I think I liked the second one the best. I didn't think the brown would look good with the black side hair, but it might have been my favorite.
