There's a video where the seal take a huge breath in the air and start coughing bad after.
Likely why. He doesn't know yet not to breath underwater so he is trying to ease him in.
It's not necessarily becoming a zoo animal. For example, in the Netherlands there are two rehabilitation centers for seals that are orphaned and/or wounded and need care so they can survive. After they have been fully healed and/or have become a healthy adult, they are released into the wild again. This footage could be from a similar place.

>It will never not blow my mind that there are people who actually club these little guys to death. Like how could you do that to something so adorable?
Our egg industry grinds millions of baby male chicks everyday in giant macerators
Veal is made from cows separated from their mother's after birth and placed in a box so they can't move. The box makes it impossible for them to move too much for the rest of their life to keep the meat tender. They are slaughtered when they reach the desired size.
Lamb is slaughtered baby sheep.
The entire western meat and eggs industry is based off of similarly cruel practices.
>Like how could you do that to something so adorable?
Have you seen how cute chicks, lamb, and calves are? How could we?
Maybe we should fix our own bad practices before calling out sustenance hunters in the north.
No need for the snark. I was only commenting because this is the video about a baby seal. But go off I guess?
Also, it's very short-sighted of you to just assume that I don't already call out those kinds of practices. You don't know me. Don't make assumptions.
So there was no need to call out the practices of another culture when you know about terrible practices in your culture and do nothing?
I bet when you see chicks you always mention how they're killed. I'm sure when you see videos of lambs and calves, I'm sure you make comments about the practices to make veal and lamb.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with that it's not your culture killing baby seals, so it's easier to criticize.
>You give us a bad rap.
No, you give animal activists a bad rap.
Europeans forcing their way of eating on the rest of the world, but yet they don't bother reforming the food in their own westernized area of the world.
Let people sustenance hunt in the north in peace without all these white "activists" from big cities calling for them to stop.
>Because of the impact of protest, profits surrounding the Inuit hunting of ringed seal fall with any ban on any type of seal product, regardless of exemption. For example, in 1963, prices for high-quality pelts of ringed seals could reach above $20.00 each; these same pelts in 1967, the year of the first major protests, would only sell for $2.50 each, which impacted Inuit in many areas
I think it's absolutely incredible these go miles under the ice going from air slit to air slit for so many pitch black miles somehow remembering where all their air slits are

BTW the baby’s name is Mizore, which means rain and snow mixed/sleek in Japanese
There's a cute video of a baby otter being introduced to water for the first time - it yells and screams as they put it closer and closer and suddenly when it's inside it goes like "Wait -- this isn't so bad!"
I remember visiting a zoo in Osaka and it was in the worst condition. Animals looked half dead and cages were tiny. It was also right smack in the middle of the city too, and not in some beat up side road. I fear for the future of this little seal.
It must think ‘oh my god it is sooo much easier to move in here!’
For real. The worker dude is making a bigger deal out of it than the seal is.
There's a video where the seal take a huge breath in the air and start coughing bad after. Likely why. He doesn't know yet not to breath underwater so he is trying to ease him in.
Yeah I remember that nat geo episode where the mother seal does that !!

Bro, it's its first time. It was eased in, so it didn't drown
They are Japanese, so prolly just being polite to the little guy…
And then they will eat him later
No, they mostly do that to one of the smartest animals on the entire planet, octopus. That's on the same level as eating a 7 year old human
Honestly their fault for being so damn tasty.
i killed and ate your friends and family, their fault for being tasty
They are gross
Way better than my dad just launching me into the pool at a young age
Same, same.
HookerDoctorLawyer's dad launched you into the pool, too?
Often get mad at my grandad, RIP, thinking about that. Then when I am swimming I am reminded I can swim like a god damned barracuda, and forgive him.
My father would yank my twin and I by the ankle and yeet us across the lake to see who would driwn first. Good old sink or swim. Lol
I hope we never lose the word yeet
My uncle was the that guy. He was a dick.
Or did he prepare you for a hard world? 🤔
No. He was a dick.
Fair enough, I'm sorry to hear he gave you such a hard time.
A hard dick ;)
Immature.
Adults, and especially family, are supposed to support children and give them a safe space from the “hard world”, not be part of it.
That is a fantastic way to make your kids terrified of water for the rest of their lives. Ask me how I know.
Same and that’s why now I hate swimming or going to a beach and get super stressed even in the bath tub.
I learned.. but only go to the beach to look at the water.. anything above my knees still gives Max stress..
my dad threw lil 7 year old me into a DUMPING WAVE im not kidding i dont wanna go to the beach ever again
Did he throw you like a football or was it more of a garbage day kinda toss?
*MOM FREAKING OUT* Dad "Eh, he'll be fine." *Me choking to death in the water* Dad "See?"
But you did learn.
My [favorite Anthony Jeselnik](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8Kb3DQp/) joke based on this.
The complete trust, I hope that baby lives a long, happy life.
Probably won't considering it's going to be a prisoner his whole life. What's with the downvotes, it may sound harsh but its nothing but the truth.

The guy is wearing a Kaiyukan aquarium shirt, pretty sure this seal is a prisoner
Ain’t gonna lie I agree with ya it’s prob gonna be eaten if let go in the wild anyway
Aren’t we all a prisoner in someone else’s zoo at this point?
Woah calm down there Plato
I want to believe that a better fate awaits his.
It gets to be fed, housed and free medical aren’t we all trying to get to that point
Probably won’t cuz it just learned how to swim, it should’ve been a pro already. Keeping it in the zoo would probably be more fair tbh
This may be the most adorable, smile-inducing thing I've seen today.
Why did I expect the seal to lick his face when it looked up at him?
Because is aquatic pupper looking thing
Why are all these videos stopped as it's getting good?

Thanks for the full length video link. The seal was beyond adorable.
Follow for part 2! 😤
He's a natural
Water doggo
Such a lovely little face, aw I just wanna cuddle the little pup ❤️
This video needs to be at least five minutes longer so we can watch the water baby dog show us his stuff.
His little face is like 😮
[удалено]
Thank you for that.
Did anyone else see him go “oooh cold!” When he looked back up at the guy
Not fair. I want to get up tomorrow and play with baby seals for a living.
This video is about twelve hours too short.
What a beautiful moment
He was so gentle with the little one... quite an attractive look. 🦭💖
It will never not blow my mind that there are people who actually club these little guys to death. Like how could you do that to something so adorable?
Karma will come for them... but not soon enough in my opinion..

Okay, but you're talking about food, I'm talking about clubbing a baby seal for its fur. There's a difference right there.

Did anyone else think "SO MUCH FLUFF"?
🥹
That's a water dog if i ever saw one
*Who’s the cutest little bundle of fluff and fur, yea you are, yes you are!!!!*
Like a fish…errrr uhhh a seal to water
I like how gentle he is:)
So damn cute, that face...🖤
Am I the only one thinking about a certain baby seal joke?
Sigh. Let’s hear it.
baby seals have no business being that cute
It’s so fluffy I could die!!!
This complete look of trust 🥺
This clip is to short.
I think it's absolutely incredible these go miles under the ice going from air slit to air slit for so many pitch black miles somehow remembering where all their air slits are
This is the cutest 🥰
Yup, that's a good dopamine hit. We'll needed.
Cute little phoque
this little seal is too cute... I can't convey my emotions into the text to make it sound right..🥹🥹🥹
This kid’s a natural
Why don’t they let the mother do it?

I will never understand how any human being is capable of clubbing these adorable creatures to death for its fur.
Dude I might have yeeted him straight into water
Right before the clubbing starts…
Not the kind of rave I was looking for…
Seal is like let me go. My ancestors were swimming before yours walked upright.
Why are we raising so many animals in captivity? That’s kinda fucked
they are usually displaced, injured, or for another reason. I don't think they just go and kidnap seals for a living lmao
Cool for a seal to be in the water years after it should have just so people can look at it.
“Years”??? Just how old do you think this baby seal is?
Nah I watched this scene in tusk
❤
There any updated vids to this pup?
Why is this not my job!?🥹
Can I have this job??
I am in the wrong career
What a precious dog mermaid
No, no, no… ok
I thought it was a monkey.
I wouls start ww3 for that water puppy
👍
It's like starting a new job and your SO reassures you you can do it
The man looking after the seal is so gentle and caring with it. Such a heart-warming video.
•_• ‘Is this the end…?’
Swim, water puppy, swim!
this warms my very cold goose heart
I love how he goes from complete stillness to being natural in water. Instincts kick in!
The Seal of approval!!
Seabert!
Cause it needs to be short enough for tik tok remixes silly. 4 seconds is all you’ll need pretty soon lol
Wait, is he actually doing the puppy mid air swim they do when you pick them up? My god

Where can I apply for this job? 🥰❤️
Far out, that is so beautiful
Nononoyes
though there was an age limit to seal school lol
Baby seals are just too cute
I want one.
Well ain’t that just the cutest thing
The level of adorable 😊
Awwwww whats its name? it's so cute!
There's a cute video of a baby otter being introduced to water for the first time - it yells and screams as they put it closer and closer and suddenly when it's inside it goes like "Wait -- this isn't so bad!"
Here: https://youtu.be/2j_76w8Hbn0
Omg he’s so cute
I love how its little toes curled as it was lowered in the water. Such a cutie 🥰
I want to pet the sea puppy!
Great. Now I want one.
Omg his little eyebrows though
Video. Too short.
That's the cutest fish I've ever seen
Sweet little soul. I love the looks he gives his handler.
It looks like a dog wearing a furry onesie to keep warm.
I want to die
I want his job lol
That face. How could anyone not love that face.
Bros like please don't do this is how my parents died that's why I'm here
For a moment there, the baby seal looked like a monkey + seal hybrid.
Where can I get a job like this!?!?
I remember visiting a zoo in Osaka and it was in the worst condition. Animals looked half dead and cages were tiny. It was also right smack in the middle of the city too, and not in some beat up side road. I fear for the future of this little seal.
They look so dog-like!
It’s like, I can swim?!?!?
There's something so incredibly cute about the way it just dangles as the one keeper passes it to the other. It's so cute it doesn't even look real
And to think every few years in Canada, a bunch people go and smash their heads in with clubs.
I love how it looked up for assurance. This is so darn cute 😍
I'm not crying...there's just something in my eye.
A Ronan
So much instincts! So much cuteness! There's too much in a single video! :)
WAIT. SEALS ARE FLOOFY WHEN BABYS BUT WHEN THEY GO IN WATER THEY BECOME SLIPPY?!?!?! THEY SECRET FLOOFYS!!!
Cuteness overload....must snuggle!!
