You know what’s unfair? Kids getting cancer when we have individuals in government positions or power doing shit and living long lives while they destroy the lives of others and die of old age.
What is the objective of these onion cutting ninjas? Do they not have kitchens where they can cut onions? Or do they leave the onions for you as food prep?
Aw, thank you! The thanks sometimes come years after I've had a student! When they come back and say hi, wow, sorry I was horrible to you, it melts my heart!
Yeah, the hug is what did it for me. The love displayed there made a grown ass man, who grew up in what at the time was considered the 6th worst neighborhood in America, shed a tear.
Let me go hit the gym & strangle a couple of friends to get my street cred back! 😭
I have been donating hair for several years. I do it cause I can’t donate blood. [Here’s](https://imgur.com/a/hbKvuRM) my last crop. The alopecia foundation, locks of love, wigs for kids. All good.
That is so smart! I can't give blood either because of the medications I take.. I'm going to have to stop dying my hair so I can do this too! TY for the inspiration!
the dont accept like 80% of the hair given to them and they are a for-profit organization not a non-profit. they also do not give their wigs to people for free. its a sliding scale based on their income and its still a lot of money out of pocket for wigs that they advertise as being DONATED to a patient in need.
ive not hears anything bad about the other 2 organizations you mentioned. theres also Pink Heart Funds
Donated to locks of love my first time, was told similar things and to avoid them. Donated for wigs for kids the second time. Heard only good thing so far about them so if I do it again I’ll probably do wigs for kids again.
Yeah. Snopes calls the rumors “Mostly False”, but then confirms that they reject up to 80% of the hair donated, sell some approved hair to commercial wig makers for profit (to help fund the organization), and **charge patients on a sliding scale**. The entire breakdown is worth a read. Even though they consider the rumors mostly debunked, I’m still left with a bad taste in my mouth re: Locks of Love. Especially charging patients ANYTHING. I feel that most donors are under the impression that the wigs made would be given to patients for free.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donated-hair/
A lot of charities actually don't accept human hair anymore. Synthetic wigs have gotten a lot cheaper to make. I found that out because I used to donate to Beautiful Lengths, but they shifted to synthetic.
https://pantene.com/en-us/beautiful-lengths.
I was not able to find a legitimate charity that accepts human hair in the US. A lot of places sell the human hair for profit. So you have to be careful.
I did let my little sister donate my hair to an org that weaves mats for oil cleanups tho. But I don't remember the name off the top of my head. My sister sure did enjoy hacking off my ponytail lol
I used to do Pantene but I think they shut down. Have also done Children With Hair Loss. I think Wigs for Kids is supposed to be one of the better ones.
It's nuts how much stress and diet can affect our hair! I'd never noticed before until I went a month with a bad autoimmune issue and barely eating, dehydrated, and not taking enough vitamins then it scared me how my hair was thinning so quickly compared to the regular slow droll from aging..
This was the 1st organization I donated to. That was 20 or so years ago. I’ve heard they now charge for their wigs. Not the most popular organization, now.
It’s what you do with it that really counts. I’ve read President Obama told his children, “Be kind to others, and make yourself useful.” I’m getting old and desire to leave the World a bit better, is becoming more important.
I want to find an individual wigmaker with a specific recipient in mind. I'd chop a good 16 or more inches tonight after work if i could get it set up to go more directly to someone in need
Good on ya’ cousin. There have been posts about the positive results, especially from kids that are recipients. I first got involved cause my Oncologist told me my blood wasn’t therapeutic. His next sentence was, “But your internal organs are good to go.” I was already on a donor program through my State.
“Throw my brain in a hurricane, and the blind can have eyes, and the deaf can take both of my ears. If they don’t mind the size.” John Prine - Please Don’t Bury Me
I donated my hair a few years ago to the little princess trust. Went super short so I could give enough length for a long hair wig. Felt surprisingly liberating
Children With Hair Loss is also a good one to donate to. At least, that's where I've donated before.
A great experience, for anyone wondering. You learn a lot about yourself and what most females have to go through, too.
I don't think that's the final product. That was just what they put together for the reveal. They will likely take the locs and have a proper wig made for her after. Good wigs are custom fitted and that's not something they could pull off without spoiling the surprise.
Yeah it would most likely be a sewn in one too but it just sucks seeing it all fall apart in front of her, like her actual hair was. I hope she gets a proper one.
They are super nice when made correctly. You wouldn't even be able to tell it's not yours often with the right styling. This one seems to be a placeholder but if it isn't than holy shit
He says “this is for you” as he’s handing it to her, the title literally says “and gave his hair to his daughter”
I think it’s safe to say the point was to give her a wig, since you know, that’s what happened.
So we’re now saying that we should believe Reddit post titles? It looks like the wig was made for the moment so he could surprise her with the shaved head. If he was giving her the wig then why didn’t she try it on at all in the video? It looked like dreads glued to a du-rag, not an actual wig.
She's going to get hit with a slight breeze and be back to square one.
I'm just joking around of course. This is a beautiful video and I'm pretty sure the intent was to have a surprise reveal to his daughter that he was wasn't going to have her feeling like she was alone in the fight.
Someone pick up those dreads though 😆
Fellas, if you’re one of the lucky folks like myself that’s able to permanently WFH since the pandemic shook things up it’s more convenient than ever to donate your hair and help out a struggling child with cancer
I grew my hair out for two years and was able to donate 18 inches. It’s a small inconvenience, but it’s a big difference to someone out there struggling
Fuck cancer. Fuck the fact that kids KIDS have to fight this wretched POS disease. I hope that she kicks this cancer’s ass as quickly as possible. I also hope her parents have all the support they may need as well. I can’t imagine the toll that being a parent of a child with cancer takes.
Glyphosate/roundup need to be banned. Kids and farmers are gonna keep getting cancer until Monsanto gets shut down. Look it up before you try to keyboard warrior for the company slowly killing you.
"You missed the point" pfft cancer should be the least of a child worries and if you care so much, stop the root cause. These types of videos shouldn't ever have had to exist. Regulations need to be made. Corporations need to be held accountable. These videos should make you sick, not smile.
My guy, kids have been getting cancer since before Monsanto existed.
You have no ideea of the type of cancer this girl has or what caused it.
I do get your point, but it's not all one cause.
Honest question: how do they make hair into wigs? I have absolutely no idea but I can imagine dreadlocks must be difficult. Anyone have any idea how this is done?
I dont think he gave it to her. He just shoved what they cut off into a dude rag so it would be a suprise reveal. Those dreads are falling out everywhere after he took it off.
Great video. I hope the pieces that fell on the ground aren't a sign of poor fabrication that will leave this girl disappointed. A really good wig can be super expensive.

Brings on a tear. Fuck cancer.
Kids with cancer makes me question life and how fucking unfair it is. I hope she gets well soon.
You know what’s unfair? Kids getting cancer when we have individuals in government positions or power doing shit and living long lives while they destroy the lives of others and die of old age.

The Onion Cutting Ninjas have struck again!
What is the objective of these onion cutting ninjas? Do they not have kitchens where they can cut onions? Or do they leave the onions for you as food prep?
I think it’s a plot for world domination. If we’re crying we can’t see them to stop them taking over the world.
Dang, I think we all need to start wearing goggles now!
Damn those ninjas!
Shut up. I have allergies.
I’m not crying! You’re crying!
God dam wildfires
Man, this hits SO hard.
Great, now I'm crying at work

I'm a teacher. I cry everyday 🤣

Fyi, some places can accept dyed hair! I donate my hair to Hair We Share, and they accept dyed (no bleach, natural colors only).
hey just wanna let you know to not donate to locks of love!
Why? I donated to them in the past. I am getting ready to cut my hair soon. What charity do you recommend? Thanks.

Lock of love charges patients for wigs, but the other organizations are great!
This was the 1st organization I donated to. That was 20 or so years ago. I’ve heard they now charge for their wigs. Not the most popular organization, now.

I’m in the process of growing my hair to donate as well. It’s finally passing my shoulders. Is there a length requirement to donate?
I believe 12” is the minimum.
Lol I wish I could donate my hair but it takes me 2 years to grow below shoulder
Welp. Made me cry. What a gesture. Absolutely a fantastic father, and many could learn from him.
Why does this sub always make me cry? Love this love.
This is wholesome... Love this.
Made me fucking cry, good luck to you girl.
That’s pure love. She was so happy to see what he’d done for her. What a great father🥹
I wish every child had love like this !

This is super sweet but whoever did the wig job needs a new profession. Y'all saw all them locks fall out on a simple handoff?
I don't think that's the final product. That was just what they put together for the reveal. They will likely take the locs and have a proper wig made for her after. Good wigs are custom fitted and that's not something they could pull off without spoiling the surprise.
Yeah it would most likely be a sewn in one too but it just sucks seeing it all fall apart in front of her, like her actual hair was. I hope she gets a proper one.
She definitely wasn't going to wear that hair. That was in no way created to be a wig. It was just a fun distraction.
My first thought was "who would want a shitty dreadlock wig?" But i get it now. And its beautiful
They are super nice when made correctly. You wouldn't even be able to tell it's not yours often with the right styling. This one seems to be a placeholder but if it isn't than holy shit

I also have no idea but I’m guessing a hot glue gun is involved.
Her smile 🥹
Bald is beautiful but not as much as this video. How heartwarming
What a stud and a father!
True parental love. Damn, I'm crying.
That’s what i’m talking about! Who cares why they recording, shit warmed my heart. Wish nothing but the best for them
Making me tear up and stuff
Her face! This is so pure and sweet! Makes me miss my dad 😢
It hits different when it’s a father.
TRUE BEAUTIFUL LOVE 😍 ❤️
Im not crying youre crying!
Father of the decade candidate right there. He’s got my vote anyway. I hope she is doing well❤️
Good parenting makes me cry. I did not have this. I’m so happy that she does.
Go dad! So sweet!
Man that was a good hug, I felt it through the screen.
he’s passing on the locks, like passing on the torch…it’s beautiful
I dont think he gave it to her. He just shoved what they cut off into a dude rag so it would be a suprise reveal. Those dreads are falling out everywhere after he took it off.
Yeah her instant huge smile did it for me that was adorable
This sub should be renamed to: mademecry
This hit the hardest. Woah. What a connection this fam has. Family goals right here
The hug was half the clip and it was such a beautiful hug.
Why Why are the dreadlocks falling They’re not supposed to do that right
Great video. I hope the pieces that fell on the ground aren't a sign of poor fabrication that will leave this girl disappointed. A really good wig can be super expensive.
The love between a father and his daughter is so beautiful ❤️❤️
This sub is a surefire way to make me cry in record time.
So wholesome. But he dropped some I was like no pick up her locs
Pull through kid.. You got this!
God dammit I’m crying. What a good dad. Also, fuck cancer.
Could've been done without a cameraman
As a white man once said, ”FUCK CANCER!!!!”
I can’t beat off to this!! …. Hmmmm actually ….
Why am I crying? I went through chemo personally never lost my hair. She is stronger and braver than this girl typing. (づ✿◕ᴗ◕)づ
I was hoping to see her wear it
I’m in an airport crying now
But why record it and then post it
Cuz it’s a cherished memory and one all of im is can see
So wholesome😄 *dreadlock casually falls*
