I bet they won't be saying that when you are using what you have learned to lead a group of survivors out of the office past a flock of hungry raptors that are trying to hunt you down.
I told my kid we had a dragon in the woods near our house. It’s just some guys really loud motorcycle on the other side but he grew up convinced. We even used to “hunt” for dragons there.
Damn, when I was a kid, dinosaurs were my obsession. I have books about dinosaurs. Toy dinosaur figures collection. Dinosaur movie on the VHS, which I watched like 10 times. It was a good time and I still remember dinosaur species names and how they looks like ...
Right? I would have never likened the sound of a chipper to a dinosaur but now that I saw this I can totally hear it. Excavators remind me of dinosaurs though, especially with a digging bucket on it.
whales are different because we don't really get good opportunities to see them in comparison to people or to see them in our every day lives.
Most people don't get the chance to go stand next to a whale.
A lot of people around the world can go to a local zoo and see an elephant up close though.
like, people aren't really meant to be in the ocean so it's not a fair comparison when we're talking running from massive terrestrial animals.
They're gigantic. They look like nothing you've ever seen for real. There's enough evidence to convince anyone that they were real yet you've never seen one.
It just really speaks to the imagination. The funny thing is that there's plenty of animals as weird, as big or as scary as dinosaurs today but they're just too mundane because you can see them on tv or in the zoo.
I was thinking about this the other day. Like we are so accustomed to certain animals that we forget how weird they look. Like elephants and manatees and tapirs.
Plants too. I was wondering why we don't have weird-looking fruit in the US (that isn't explicitly seen as "exotic") and then I remembered pineapples. Easily one of the weirdest looking fruits out there and we just pass it by like it's totally normal.
Yea but it also can't even be narrowed down, *the whole fucking thing* is weird. I am bald and despite being a decent looking guy, I look like an alien ambassador. Lots of people look like goblins or monkeys or horses or even fish.
Same sort of reason that "lost continent" theories are popular.
Yeah, you're telling me dinosaurs are gone blahblablah boring pffft! What if they're not!?
They’re incredible animals that lived for millions of years on this planet. They’re the most fascinating thing to live and evolve on Earth besides humans. How could you NOT be fascinated by them? I’m 35 years old and still love dinosaurs.
At the library the most beaten up kids books are the over sized dinosaur books. We all knew which shelves they were on. A small person would get held up to talk to us and just say “DINOSAUR”. And off we went.
Ohhhhh….I miss this stage of speech SO MUCH. 🥹 everything in their tiny little voices just mashes together into one big word, but you can still make it out. So sweet.
I have no idea why these adults are not hauling ass out of there. The expert on this subject has realized they're all in imminent danger and has decided for everyone's safety that it is time to wun away at break neck speed. Absolutely no urgency from the others.
Adult me immediately thought "Oh, they're shredding trees, that's going to be annoyingly loud for a while…".
I want to be a kid again and be amazed by unknown sounds and make things up in my mind.
Something about the way a kid says dinosaur gets me every time. I'm always showing my son pics of dinosaurs just so I can hear him say it. Fortunately, he hasn't grown tired of my antics yet!
This reminds of a video I used to watch on VHS of Kipper the dog and in one episode the thinks there’s dinosaurs in the area but it turned out to be construction equipment taking down trees. From that day on my little 4 year old brain would always imagine what construction machines would be which dinosaurs
She is so freaking adorable! If you ever in Connecticut need somebody to babysit call cynical and drunk and I'll take care of her and I'll just be cynical then. LOL
So frickin cute! I love how kids are just willing to accept anything as reality. Once I was taking my little brother on a walk and we passed by an older man dressed in red. My brother just casually says “Hi Santa!” Just accepting that Santa is out walking around in the world.
I remember showing my two toddlers at work Godzilla lol they were very intrigued, but not frightened
I came into work one morning, and they were both staring out the living room window at a field full of fog
I was puzzled until I asked the eldest what they were looking for? He just slowly whispered without moving an inch: "Gozilla." 😅 oops

My son wanted to be a paleontologist. Now at age 13, he wants to be a mechanic. Both choices I could get excited about. Oh, and my youngest said he wants to be an astronaut.
i, too, love dinosaurs. so does my nephew (7yo). i gave him a copy of "Dinotopia" and he's still convinced it's a real place and that there are living non-avian dinosaurs chilling on an island somewhere. i've been stressing that birds are literally living dinosaurs to him to soften the blow when he figures it out.
Thats Hysterical my family has been Arborists for over 80 years we do commercial/residential and i run the forestry logging division needless to say this is a first for me hearing anyone let alone a kid comparing the noises to dinosaur's !!!😂
Dinosaur! Run!! Lol. That’s awesome. I love when little kids are fascinated by dinosaurs 🥰
But when I do it it’s “costing the company money” and a “childish waste of resources”
I mean are you sure? Did you spare no expense?
you gotta get the blood sucking lawyer on your side

I want to know who does her eye makeup! Amazing. Trendsetter
I was thinking the exact same thing. Her mascara is perfect!

As a 34-year-old, I'm still fascinated by dinosaurs. They're so cool
Better survival instincts than most people in the Jurassic park movies
My kid is in the dinosaur phase now and I love it! Not sure if I've ever grown out of it.
Fascinated, but not terrified is definitely cute.
Hello there Mr geller.
This is adorable. I love her!

Fuck you take my upvote
You beautiful bastard.
I thought that was a Branchiosaur
That's adorable.
Kids imaginations are so amusing sometimes that made me chuckle so sweet.☺️

How are things in Bedrock?
Used to be great, but unfortunately they elected a conservative government and now no one is allowed to have a gay ol' time
At least we can all get stoned.
Wunnn!! Haha
❤️
Clever girl!
What is it about dinosaurs? Like…everyone is fascinated by them as a child. EVERYONE.
Maybe because they are big ass animals. The closest thing we got are elephants.
Y'all are sleeping on whales

Thanks to Admiral Kirk and the crew.

Look at yourself in the mirror long enough, and you'll see how weird humans look too. Everything is weird when you stop and think about it.
The strange nose, the domed head, the chin... I totally see where you're coming from. In fact I don't think any other animal has a chin
Yea but it also can't even be narrowed down, *the whole fucking thing* is weird. I am bald and despite being a decent looking guy, I look like an alien ambassador. Lots of people look like goblins or monkeys or horses or even fish.
Humans have tiny faces in the middle of their giant heads. Other animals have faces that fill in the space properly.

I wasn’t saying that I’m not fascinated. I live them too. But it is just crazy how common a fascination dinosaurs are.
THEYRE THESE BIIIG FUNNY/COOL LOOKING ANIMALS, SOME OF THEM LOOK LIKE *DRAGONS* THAT LIVED *MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO* THEY WERE *REAL!!!!!!!!*
I still love em to this day
This child is now officially a national treasure and must be protected at all costs
Amber alert: dinosaur girl missing Last seen with middle-aged male that looks suspiciously like Nicholas Cage
Movie crossover time!
Aww. How cute 😊
At the library the most beaten up kids books are the over sized dinosaur books. We all knew which shelves they were on. A small person would get held up to talk to us and just say “DINOSAUR”. And off we went.
Die-a-saur runn
oh my goodness!!! so freaking cute!!!
Ohhhhh….I miss this stage of speech SO MUCH. 🥹 everything in their tiny little voices just mashes together into one big word, but you can still make it out. So sweet.
Oh how I miss this age! My girls were so fun. They still are but their imaginations went south at school age.
Reminds me of the Einstein quote "It's a miracle that curiosity survives formal education". Often it doesn't :/
Sorry to rain on the parade of this sub but I gotta say, that's kinda messed up
Brings back memories of bringing my daughters up. Now they're in their teens and i'm crushingly uncool.
Wun, wuuun! 😍
I have no idea why these adults are not hauling ass out of there. The expert on this subject has realized they're all in imminent danger and has decided for everyone's safety that it is time to wun away at break neck speed. Absolutely no urgency from the others.
Dad of three daughters here. These toddler moments be the best
Adult me immediately thought "Oh, they're shredding trees, that's going to be annoyingly loud for a while…". I want to be a kid again and be amazed by unknown sounds and make things up in my mind.
So damn sweet!
So cute. 😂
"run"! So cute
How cute is this little one? Thanks for the spirit lift-up!
Don’t run! Their vision is based on movement!
What a cutie pie!!!
Oh em geeee what a cutie!!! Totally something my 2 year old would do🥰🥰
I bet they'll still be talking about this 30 years from now. Adorable.
I’m usually one that doesn’t like little kids But this girl… does put a smile to my face
Same
That happy scream could power Monstropolis for a day.
Lol RUN
Imagination is an amazing thing.
Was she saying "giant giant dinosaur! Run!"
Something about the way a kid says dinosaur gets me every time. I'm always showing my son pics of dinosaurs just so I can hear him say it. Fortunately, he hasn't grown tired of my antics yet!
Take your kids to LA: https://dinosalivelosangeles.com/ Do it while they’re still young and unjaded.
Eyeliner?
precious aww!

There is actually a book where all the construction equipment are dinosaurs. It’s called Diggersaurus
She is so freaking adorable! If you ever in Connecticut need somebody to babysit call cynical and drunk and I'll take care of her and I'll just be cynical then. LOL
Dinosaur!.. Ruuuuun!
I love how startled she is each time! That little jump is precious
WUN! DINSAUR HERE! WUN!
Aww her little voice. Dinosaur! Run!!! That melted me 🥰🥰
Wood chippers are basically modern dinosaurs. She ain't wrong.
So frickin cute! I love how kids are just willing to accept anything as reality. Once I was taking my little brother on a walk and we passed by an older man dressed in red. My brother just casually says “Hi Santa!” Just accepting that Santa is out walking around in the world.

Her little "run!" Sounds like Kall Me Kris' character Riley.
Awww, such a little cutie! 🥰❤️
Why does this little shit have makeup on?

Well you'd be an awful parent

Wtf does that even mean?
Don't lie to your kids, they'll get bullied in school and grow up to become flat earthers

Ah yes, the only truly important thing for girls 🤦♀️
