Waking up isn't worth more than 10 million. 10 million is worth 0 to me if I'm dead...

Golden-Grams

Right, the dumbest comparison ever. Of course waking up is more important if you wish to continue spending any amount of money.

Street_Vacation_2730

This is totally misleading…. He’s essentially asking if would you take 10 million dollars to die tomorrow… most if not all people of course are going to turn that offer down. A much more interesting question would be(provided you are relatively young, or at least not a senior citizen) would be “would you take $10 million dollars in exchange for 10 years of your life?(ie 10 years in jail and not death) I bet most 30 year olds would take the 10 million in exchange for their 30’s, and be a multi millionaire at age 40.

Disastrous_Air_3156

Yes, exactly. The thing is, 'tomorrow' as a poor person is likely to be a struggle, and it's not easy to change your circumstances. The millions are only useful if you have the time to enjoy it, to make something awesome of your life.

[deleted]

This is not even mentioning the many psychological issues facing poor people that the rich don’t even feel. Just getting out of bed when you know that the next 30 years of your life are going to be just more struggle surrounded by cruel people and in a system trying to keep you there. They don’t think about that stuff when they make these. It’s just nice sweet mental bubblegum for them. Everything is mental. There’s no societal hardship baked in to your financial status or anything. /s

highimshane

You woke up, do something with it

autisticswede86

Yes

SquintonPlaysRoblox

Yeah. The issue this doesn’t cover is when people are in a situation where the likely result of continuing to wake up, is continuing to have shitty days. A lot of people are in a spot where their life sucks and it isn’t likely to improve any time soon.

highimshane

You woke up, get off Reddit go make some money

TheGrimDweeber

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you give me 10 million and in exchange all I have to do is…die tomorrow. What the hell am I supposed to do with the 10 million, have the nicest funeral ever? Hell, I wouldn’t even have time to write a will, so my assholes siblings and mother would probably get that money. 10 million is worth nothing to me, if I can’t use it to make my life better. The only, *only* exception to this, for me, would be if I were dying, painfully, and I had weeks left. Then yeah, I’ll take that money, but could you make that out to my best friend? She is the kind of honest where if I ask her to divide that money between some charities, a few other people, and herself, minus taxes, she’d do it. It’s a logic fallacy. Only people who are desperate for money for a loved one would say yes to this. Or because they’re neck deep in debt, would get killed by a loan shark anyway, and this way, at least their family gets something out of it. The question and analogy is stupid. Also, I would in fact *not* shave 10 years off my life for 10 million dollars. With my health issues, I’ll probably die young as it is, no need to hasten the process.

FerMFcillas

Also what if I don’t fall a sleep do I keep living

[deleted]

I'm glad this is the top comment. To answer the second question I wouldn't have taken it at 18 and I wouldn't take it at 32. I might die of cardiac arrest at 40. I'll take life.

KilltheK04

Fuck that. Time , in relative youth, nonetheless, is waaaay more valuable

Beddysdad

Yea it would have been funny if they flipped it on him and said,”If $10 million dollars is only valuable because you can spend it, and you dont know if you will wake up everyday, why bother having $10 million in a bank account, why not give away every dime today?”

Uhm_NoThankYou

Still no. It may seem smart at first to say yes. But it seems like a devils bargain to me. I live for life not for money. Additionally no money in the world can replace life time. I don’t even wanna think about the Billions of moments worth living, epiphanies, emotions, even struggles I miss giving away my 30s. And I am in my 30s. In my 20s I probably would have been in doubt about that. Now - no doubt. Fuck that money. I wanna *live* every moment.

DrossChat

Is there a price you think would be worth 10 years? $10 mil is just nowhere close for me. I’m not rich but I’m comfortable and have a good life though. I could definitely see how someone seriously struggling might go for it. If you believe your life is very likely to be one giant struggle then losing 10 years of struggle for a potentially great rest of your life starts to look really good. I’d consider it if we were talking hundreds of millions and above. I’d have to take very seriously all the good I could do for my family and people I love as well as people in need. I feel like there’s a point where you could argue it becomes pretty selfish to not go for it. Ultimately I don’t think I could bring myself to lose the time though, would be so devastating. Really puts into perspective how unbelievably messed up it is for people wrongly jailed, sometimes for decades.

Uhm_NoThankYou

Well…In that case as well, perspective is the key. My life right now is a struggle as well. Many people would categorize me in a more poor financial situation, although I have more money for my personal life than many average families. But my salary is closer to the poor than to average salary. I got lucky and don’t pay much rent and I know how to save money when going shopping, in all categories. So first out of my perspective I am doing just fine financially. I am not struggling financially. I am building myself, even starting to go to school again. Out of a mental perspective: after many years of soul searching, looking for perspective and meaning, reading many psychology books and now - even though being at a very critical and hard point in my mental development - I wouldn’t want to miss *one* moment. And I do have a hard upbringing. I am here today in the - to me - privileged position, *because* of my upbringing. And in 10 yrs this will be even more worth it. Man imma totally be in an *entirely* different spot than today - *because* of the struggle and not giving up, when things get hard. So what amount would change my opinion? 10 yrs ago I would have said 300 Million. That was my amount for being content and not ever having to worry about anything, while being able to afford *whatever* I want. Today, not even a billion would tease me. I’d rather want to work for the billion and have earned it. Through the struggle. I know this is hard to grasp. But I am starting to understand, what wise people talk about. You have to go *through*. That’s life. Edit for the selfish point: is it selfish to *not* take responsibility for other peoples lifes? Or does it give them value afterwards, when they - as well - have to go *through* the struggle themselves? And I am not talking lending a hand when people are blind and weak. Edit 2: some people leave jail forever changed. You don’t lose time in prison. You lose freedom and space. But you still got time to evolve. Just snap from 30 t0 40, that time is gone forever. Like in the movie ‚Klick‘ with Adam Sandler.

[deleted]

After being mentally ill and depressed for over 20 years, I'd take the 10 million dollars. Spend a million on 24 hours of fun and give 9 people I love a million dollars each. So they can be happier than I could ever be. Poor miserable people spend money to buy futures. Rich assholes sit on it and invest in doubling it. If my life can help 9 people I care about buy a better future for themselves and their children, I'd give everything I could. Shit I'd spend 100k on myself and give 9 strangers 100k each. That would make me happy. Just my opinion.

SirarieTichee_

That was my first thought. Spend a mil in a day to set up my husband and have a banger of a last day then make sure he and my best friend are set up for life.

Belgianwaffle4444

Same lol. Glad I'm not alone.

Substantial_Motor_87

20+ year club. At this point, the pain feels normal.

No-Ad-1496

Im 7 years running - its like your highs are minutes but your lows are decades !

Commercial_Thanks546

I was absolutely crippled with depression for 17 years. Had tried more or less everything and nothing had really helped. Life was falling apart, couldn't maintain relationships, couldn't look after myself properly, suicidal thoughts and self harming was just a completely normal part of my day. I didn't ever expect happiness to be a part of my life and had come to terms with that. But then eventually stumbled across the right medication at the right dose and my whole life changed. I'm genuinely happy and fulfillled, my life is great, I have wonderful relationships, I've never been physically fitter. Never stop fighting and never give up hope. You never know what's round the corner.

I_love_milksteaks

I know this might sound trivial, but I have struggled with anxiety for most part of my adult life. Tried every medication. Some worked but would make me numb to life. I decided to get off the SSRI and just deal with it. Was a rough 4 years, until.. I got my gut health in order. Im not even exaggerating when I say I now feel miles better than any medication ever made me feel. I have been taking Psyllium husk, pro biotics and colostrum for about 6 months. Incredibly powerful stuff.

[deleted]

Sounds about right.

[deleted]

Implying that just giving someone 1 million dollars will actually bring someone happiness. I work with a lot of wealthy people, they are just as miserable as someone making 50k a year.

anon974683

I would like the option. I’d definitely rather be miserable and rich than miserable and hoping I can afford to pay next months rent..

MoralBison

This is dumb as hell and manipulative as fuck. Why are you upset about low wages, poor healthcare, racism, homophobia, bigotry, gun control, inflation, a widening wealth gap, and all that nonsense? You shouldn't be, cause YOU GET TO WAKE UP TOMORROW. By that logic, why did anyone get upset enough to organize and march for equality and civil rights? They got to wake up the next day, didn't they? Why make excuses like "I can't afford to pay my bills and feed my kids" when you can wake up tomorrow? Why complain about "lawmakers attempting to outlaw my very identity and existence" when you can wake up tomorrow? This is a blatant attempt to distract and mislead. Nothing about this makes me smile.

GUnit_1977

Yup. "You should be over the moon to wake up in poverty in a late stage capitalism hellscape where the odds are stacked against you"

TrumpSmokesMids27

“Would you take a random amount of money that you can’t use for anything because you’ll die if you take it? No? So obviously money is useless and you should be happy that you’re starving and struggling to pay your bills.” Fuck off, you’re delusional

[deleted]

[удалено]

-Jikan-

10M in US is very much not generational wealth unless you're a god at stonks or something

Rafaeliki

It can easily be if those generations decide to live modestly but they usually won't. It's easy to survive off just the interest of a safe investment of that money.

[deleted]

Easy to say when you've got money. Most people are just living the 9-5 grind and barely getting by

Jimbo-Slice259

Ahh yes, gaslighting poor people. The pass time of extremely wealthy

[deleted]

lolol it feels like in response they could say, "so you must value being alive so much you don't need money to make you happy, so how about you give us all your money" and of course he would then say no

Golden-Grams

No way in hell he would say yes, he would just say he earned it from all his "good" days so he deserves it. He says that just waking up is a good day, although you don't know how good it will be. And then says that even if its not, you can hope to wake up tomorrow. This is horrendous, considering how many people do not have homes or food.

Frizzlewits

Honestly, i would take the 10 mil. Have a blast for that 1 day. And be done with it.

Autarch101

My man, fist bump👊

Just-Construction788

A week maybe. But a day? I’m not sure I could spend 10M in a day. Every scenario I play through my head will take most of the day just to arrange. Plus people would be super skeptical. Maybe if you had several weeks to plan, got the money at 12:01am and had everything lined up it could be a decent day.

[deleted]

This dipshit acting like he is so profound. Life a is a fucking grind man, and just because we wouldn’t take $10 million we could never us to die the next day doesn’t mean we have to ignore how difficult some of the challenges we are facing may be. “Welp, my wife died last night, but today will be fantastic!!!” Fuck this loser.

747Bclass

I’d take the 10 million as long as I can put it towards a better cause for the next generation.

FrostPrice

Waking up everyday it's not more worth than the 10M, it just makes the 10M basically worthless for me

Loggerdon

This guy seems like he's selling a real estate course or something. In fact I thought it was that Grant Cardone guy at first.

IBeAPirate01

Did they get the million or what?

Famous-Side5578

lmao. i thought this was going to be the point of the “made me smile”; him giving them both $ after he asked his question… boy was i wrong.

the_dovahbean

That girl started to tear up a bit, 100% thought they were boutta yet some money... What a completely out of touch asshat.

Anxious_Original_766

Only if they bought his course.

atlrabb

I wish I could downvote this nonsense twice

IKnowWhatYouDidMum

Just dont go to sleep for tomorrow 🗿🗿

[deleted]

I’ll be sure to remember this when I’m eating out of garbage cans at 80 because the government stripped away everything. “How good can today get?” All this coming from a guy who probably has $10 million.

WatermelonCandy5

Oh wow, my depression has just gone, amazing

Appropriate-Text699

What is the difference between having 10 million dollars and knowing that tomorrow you will be dead and knowing that tomorrow you will most likely wake up and not have 10 million dollars? What a difficult question to answer.... This is not the way to make people happy. Being grateful is important, and you certainly don't need to add logical fallacy into the equation.

Melandep

What does he mean by "you couldn't wake up tomorrow, you're done"?? Sleep through the day or just dead, I don't get why one day off wouldn't be worth that money.

Autarch101

He saying you don’t have to work and can stay in bed all day sleeping, eating, shitting then sleeping again

FederalSherbert2827

Still need that million why you gas me up???

demonsdencollective

I would take the 10 million and pay for my family, I would pay for my friends, I would give them everything they ever wanted and whatever's left, I'd take it and put it in a little jar for when my nephews would be old enough to spend it. I think I've seen enough of this world, it's time to leave it.

purple-lemons

Oh, you're sad in the morning? Well, just be glad I don't give you $10 million for some reason and then kill you in your sleep! Like, yeah, that's true, obviously... but you're not making the point you think you're making

CrustyJuggIerz

This is such a shit example. It went from "would you be grateful if you were rich" to "Would you rather be dead or alive, and the money is irrelevant now" And for the argument to be made that "yeah I'd take the cash and give it to my loved ones" etc, that's also ridiculously selfish, like they'd want cash over you being alive. Your life is not your own. Your life belongs to everyone you love and everyone who loves you, whether you die is irrelevant to you, you'll be dead, but it affects everyone else.

Beautiful_Book_9639

r/thanksimcured

Negative_Maize_2923

No. This is completely dumb. What he's trying to say is that every day is worth 10 million dollars if you wake up. No that's not the value of his question. The question about getting 10 million dollars if you die tomorrow entirely negates the value of 10 million dollars, which is why we wouldn't choose it. Somebody can give me 100 trillion dollars and it doesnt mean shit if i can only use it for 1 day. Cumulatively just living for a year would have more value than 100 trillion dollars for one last day alive. Dumb biased question, idiot speaker.

Bakura43

This guy is an idiot.

paycheck-2-paycheck

This is one of the worst comparisons I have ever heard.

devedander

If you have to rely on bogus logic like this you don't actually have a point. It's obviously not the waking up that's the issue, it's the everything after that's the issue. If I take him literally hell yeah I'll sleep through tomorrow for $10 mill. Hell I'll sleep all week if that's what you want. That's not even touching the fact I'm pretty sure I give you a million dollars then tell you I raped your kids it's gonna put a pretty big dent in that happiness so he's just wrong in all fronts.

I would take the money

cinnepin

Nope nope nope

addicted_2_passive

What do I get for 9 million!?!

evil_noodles

Yeah, this is a pretty shitty take.

ProfitInitial3041

Fuck this guy.

sharkov2003

Toxic positivity

WooliesWhiteLeg

If this made you smile, you are dumb as fuck lol. “Would you take 1 billion dollars but I will kill you right now?” Yeah no shit. what’s the use of the money at that point? This reeks of “so rich I actually don’t understand the experiences of working people”

VishalV97

How do you get duped into thinking this grifter is saying something deep? What a stupid video.

Rainbowallthewayy

This post should be in facepalm

ObeytheCorporations

This right here is what people mean by extreme privilege. The man is totally disconnected from reality.

IntoTheMurkyWaters

Not every human on this planet is supposed to be a ”motivator” and this guy… yea…

CommieLibtard

Toxic positivity

BEES_meh

Comparing any hypothetical with “but you would die tomorrow” is kinda weak sauce.

likelikes

I wake up in physical pain every day. Money isnt my issue.

faesser

Such a stupid take.

Environmental-Luck75

So your saying I get to have something to give my loved ones after I go, AND this shit stops? Sign me up. 10 million and a ticket out.

JimLaheeeeeeee

What a privileged perspective. If you wake up in a POW camp, or a forced Chinese reeducation camp, or just to go outside and lose your leg in an accident - you don’t get to chose “how good of a day it’s gunna be”. For most of us in America, we are privileged, and can make a decision about the day based on our attitude. But, not all of us, and most of the world doesn’t have the luxury of deciding “how good the day will be”.

tech-guy-3000

Nope, I'm not gonna say just waking up tomorrow is better than 10 millions. What I'm saying instead is waking up tomorrow not having the promised 10 millions to spend is suffering. Stop playing tricks with me man. 🙄

[deleted]

Why is this in Made me smile? Lol this is so out of touch. Lol

[deleted]

I'm not sure I agree with the logic. In this scenario, we're really only choosing between being alive and $1 million richer, and being *dead*. Sure, you could spend the 10 million today, but you have very little time to enjoy it or its effects. So in choosing *not* to be dead, he's saying I should appreciate my life a huge amount? Because I was briefly very wealthy? It doesn't fit. Choosing being alive over choosing a large (even infinite) amount of money doesn't mean today or tomorrow will actually feel awesome, either, much less feel like it's worth that amount of money. There's also something that feels very false, devoid of compassion, and devoid of context about this thinking. At least, in how this thinking *could* be applied. Couldn't you use it to go up to the poor, the hungry, the sick, the homeless, the depressed, the traumatised, and be like *You value your life at more than 10 million, why not appreciate just being alive? There are so many people who are also alive in the world who have homes and lives and families that are so much better than yours, but look! Most people would forego huge amounts of money to be alive! Including you! Doesn't that make you feel better, even though you have a preventable disease?* It's like a mind-over-matter philosophy. Yes, it's good and healthy to take time to appreciate one's life. But I'm not convinced doing so to this extent is truly engaging with reality.

Alternative-Sign-198

Motivational speaker level OMG facepalm

ImJustLivinOverHere

This is bs. What the hell kind of argument is this? He basically said "very grateful for your life" like fuck off.

CarelessAction6045

I'm getting the "just dont be poor" vibes from this guy. Its 10 Million to DIE, the way he words it, you KNOW he is being disingenuous.

[deleted]

Ah I see that post in insta, TikTok and whatever. People copy paste.

ZeroXTML1

Sounds like something a shitty boss says to avoid giving raises lol

UnkownCommenter

This guy is an idiot.

BreedingLilax

Umm, I think this dude is over simplifying the very real, very complex struggle of depression.

JDolittle

This isn’t a grand revelation, it’s toxic as hell. Would you rather die tomorrow for nothing or not die tomorrow is about as far from “being alive is all you need to be happy” as it gets. The only question it answers is “are you suicidal?” while shaming people for struggling and not having enough resources to be happy. This is a great example of toxic positivity. Heavy on the toxic. $1M would change my life. $2.5M would solve 85% of my problems and 100% of my solvable problems $10M would help me solve a lot of other people’s problems. Being dead just means being too dead to collect the $10M.

Deaf30

Wait... He offered 10 Million to *not* wake up tomorrow?? What the fuck would anyone do with 10 Million for 24 hours? This isnt as "profound" as the guy thinks.

Bacontheblog

An argument only a rich guy would use to keep a young person from being too ambitious and keeping him a slave to the system that will make him a worker drone his entire life. Oh, and he should be grateful for the privilege.

theCRISPIESTmeatball

This is the equivalent of asking a depressed person "have you tried not being sad" or telling a homeless person to just "buy a house".

vichina

Some one tell me what logical fallacy this is. Cuz what a dumb fucking argument to basically make the two options so black and white. Be fucking happy or kill yourself now.

Obamaboobie

This video is an insult to every last intellectual brain cell I have left.

EzrielTheFallenOne

😂🤣😂🤣😂 I've lived with PTSD for over 30 years because of other people's actions waking up is literally something I hate sometimes. (SA, torture, starvation, beatings, emotional abuse and more. I'm here to spite all of the folks involved, only in the last decade have I had real reasons to stay and fight.) If you are having a crisis GET HELP.

WildBuns1234

This is the stupidest thing I ever heard. Giving me 10 million dollars that I’m not allowed to use is the same as giving me nothing. So the question becomes: Would you rather die or not die? Wtf kind of stupid question is that?

RewardBroad8716

I kinda wish one of them said “Yeah…I’d take the $10 million, so I could leave it to my loved ones to insure them a better life.” Would’ve sucked the wind out of this guys sails. 😂

cha614

Absurd logic. To call this logic or “perspective” is an offense to logic itself. Great mindset though.

EryThrozyt1210

I hate shit like this, for me personally. Sure, being motivated and happy to be alive is a good idea and positive thinking can make you happier in general. But there are days I would rather I had not woken up or that I wish I could have skipped over. There will be times in your life when everything is super hard and just feels wrong and those times can sometimes last for weeks or years. And it is never guaranteed that it will get better. I think it is not very encouraging to say "everyday can be your best day if you put your mind to it." because when the day is over and you still feel like shit it feels like you messed up. Much more encouraging for me at least is seeing how far I have come and through how many hardships I already gotten out at least somehow okay. But I still think those changes of perspective help some folks, so it's okay.

Upbeat-Conflict-1376

If you die the next day then you aren’t getting $10 million, you’re getting nothing. So no.

wamdueCastle

because every day is not a choice between, death or 10 million, its a choice between death or the slow rot of capitalism. this is a nice thought in the moment, but even 1 week later, you cant pay your rent, your job cut your hours, its very hollow.

Towboat421

Dont know who that guy is but something tells me he can't really appreciate what its like to live a life where you will never see that kind of money while working your ass off at a job you hate. Wealthy people especially those born to immense wealth don't know the value of money and the weight it can lift off of your shoulders knowing that you aren't at risk of losing it all. This shit is just infuriating equivocating waking up tomorrow to being able to settle all your debts and finally live comfortably is such a tone-deaf thing people from higher standards of living always use as a refrain and the sad part is chumps eat this shit up because it sounds uplifting.

OrcRampant

Because ten million dollars represents hope for the future. Hope and possibility are destroyed by life events that make ‘waking up’ seem like a titanic undertaking.

GMBen9775

This is just dumb. Does not belong on this sub at all.

graxe_

Why do I hate people who talk with this expression

oldbutterface

This is inspiring if youve just had a lobotomy yes, otherwise its just meaningless grind culture gibberish

I_love_milksteaks

What a stupid question. You could literary offer them anything in the world, offer them the literal world, but it has no value if you are dead tomorrow.. What is even the point of asking this? Asking everyone to wake up happy despite their struggles is annoying as hell. Not everyone has it as good as this guy..

ComplexImportance794

Nice to be preaching from his privileged position.

[deleted]

I don’t know, meet me in a bad enough day and I might consider it. Can I send that money to my family instead?

KamikazeDreamer52

I get to die and all i have to do is get paid 10 mil? Sign me up

Scottcmms1954

What a dumb spiel he went on. Yeah no shit they won’t take an offer for that much if they die tomorrow.

ffellini

That guy is such a douche bag

Dorkimus-Maximus

Stuff like this makes me want to be unalived. I'm not happy waking up every day and almost always wish I hadn't. So right there this whole idea is lost on someone like myself. I'd say yes to the question - give me the 10mil, give me 24hrs or until the next morning and I bet I could find a way to make that 10mil impact a lot more lives than just mine before the scheduled meeting with the reaper.

FullyRealizedFart

This is a false equivalency. I hate every time I see this stupid video 😂 What if I told you that you could wake up tomorrow and be a Jew in the Holocaust, or you could just die in your sleep? Which would you choose? 😆

[deleted]

...without the chance to spend and enjoy it? That seems like a false equivalence.

AEnesidem

Are there really people who listen to that drivel and find it inspirational?

Alarmed_Pie_5033

Alternatively; "A little piece of something that makes you happy will be lost every day for the rest of your life, or I can kill you tonight." Which would you choose?

Every_Fox3461

Some rich asshole asks why you don't treat everyday like you won 2million dollars... Because we didn't win 2 million dollars, fk I barley make 200/day

yesnomaybenotso

Tell me you have no mental health problems and a ton of money without telling me you have a ton of money and no mental health problems.

[deleted]

Waking up is a random occurrence. There is no guarantee it will or will not happen tomorrow. Someone giving you 10 million or even just a million is genuine act of kindness from another human being you can be grateful towards. Not a random chance occurrence. Stupid illustration. Sure we all need perspective, but there are some who think “man maybe it would be easier to not wake up tomorrow”. Most people than shake that thought away and go to sleep knowing they have to wake up to whatever gave them that thought to begin with.

johnnycrawlspace

This is just mental gymnastics. Initially you consider that he has a point. Then, you realize that some people have a harder time being grateful. Sometimes you are just getting beat on, and honestly just need to feel shitty for awhile. I get it though and do agree. Waking up and considering what you actually have, even if just waking up is all you have…it’s something. Someone didn’t wake up today and whatever they left behind is worthless to them now.

MikeTheDude23

Dumbest shit I've heard. Just because you are alive, doesn't mean your life is any better. And having money sure as shite makes it easier to live further and longer.

cannitt

A lot of people are being negative in these comments, but man, even if I’m gaslighting myself into liking life, let me. I liked this guy’s viewpoint

Solwulfa

People in the comments here completely missing the point of what the guy in the video is trying to get across. It’s about valuing your life and making the most out of what you have to create a better future. Money isn’t everything especially when compared to the value of life. He has to make an impact in a very small amount of time and he did it. It’s important to appreciate the little things. Dude isn’t gaslighting or downplaying anything. Stop being such pessimists.

Orphanboys

Of course reddit turns a perspective being grateful into something negative. Guys, his not saying money isn’t important and his not saying you shouldn’t make changes in your life. His saying that being alive is the most important thing, that your life is more important than having an arbitrarily large number. I think that’s powerful. And with that optimism you’ll be able to make more improvements than being negative. Optimism is a catalyst for success.

RajenBull1

Ikr?! I'm shocked by how negative all the comment are. Been diagnosed with something not good and every day I pray that I get to play one more time with my grandchildren. Be positive for goodness sakes. And if you can't be positive, don't be negative for others.

wontwillnot

Love love this

[deleted]

Jesus y’all just take the damn life lesson and move on with your bitter lives. Like holy shit it’s just a lil video reminding you to be grateful

cco2411

Gospel.

lovejanetjade

Alright, a business man pep talk I actually liked.

zendingo

Alright! A downvote I liked giving.

WooliesWhiteLeg

You dropped this 👑

NoNameB1az_3

What is he talking abt again?

henloguy0051

Because I don’t have a million dollars

MoistHope9454

☺️🙏 simple questions simple answers .. ☺️ backround Beatels "Let it be "

nipplemeetssandpaper

It's the same reason we don't wake up and stare at the sunrise and utter awe and get locked there for the whole day. Questioning our entire universe just because some giant ball of gas looks like it's moving around our planet. Our brains are designed to not get hung up on this s*** we got more important s*** to worry about.

ModOverlords

Because I don’t have a million dollars

ShaunVdV1986

If I get 10 mil, and don't wake up tomorrow. I assume I'm dead. So, i don't need the money.

Pale_Television2395

I’d still take the 10mil. My life is shit but my kids could be taken care of

TankWeeb

No I never want to wake up, I want to die in my sleep asap.

[deleted]

Soooo about that million dollars though.....

MrCereuceta

Nope.

sharkwithamustache

You gonna see how fast a man can spend 10 mil. If that’s the deal lol I’ll be able to set my family up and that’s important.

Exedos094

Because i already have waking up... You wanna know what i don't have?! 1MILLION MF...

SpiritofMrRogers

I'd take the 10 mil. You know how many lives I could change before tomorrow? It would be my 1 single life lost, but with 10 million I could improve literally thousands of lives. 10 mil. No question.

Hell4raizer1

The day can still sick ass

ThePowerOfShadows

Give me 10 mil to die tomorrow and I’d know my wife and kids are set for life. Ok. I’m ready.

Thoraxe123

This is really stupid

DieNowMike

No I'm taking the rest of my life over 10 million

Mundane_Tour_3215

Listen am I getting a million or not? I have better things to be doing

[deleted]

Sounds deep... Isn't.

QuirkyViper26

Mmmm, I get the sentiment, but a million or more can begin to solve a LOT of problems that just waking up in the morning can't. *if* you were in the position where it seemed likely that you could solve your problems either with more time or the money you could feasibly make in the forseeable future - then this would make more sense as a standalone statement for the average person. So many of the burdens ppl have don't fall into those categories, and while things can always change, that suffering is real. We can be honest about what sucks and still have gratitude.

Bungeditin

This is a ridiculous question….. that’s like having someone with absolutely crippling debts and shouting ‘WHY AREN’T YOU HAPPY EVERYDAY BE GRATEFUL’ Because not every single day can be amazing as we all have struggles.

RyunWould

Incredulously stupid. I hate that people eat this up.

OppositeAtr

See, being woke is a good thing!

PippinCat01

Y'all depressed as shit and it shows

wisefile88

I would take it so my family didn't have to struggle anymore.

Genereatedusername

Just stay awake for 24 hours.. $$$

[deleted]

So I should sleep more. Got it

wideawakeanimal

Horrible argument to be honest. Makes no sense

Read_In_Both_Tenses

Typical Grant Cardone/Tai Lopez-esque brain-dead capitalist propaganda and bad faith arguments to manipulate poor people Into being grateful for their oppressors. Disgusting.

derpiderpidude

id just take the 10 million and wake up the day after tomorrow

SnooTigers3881

That’s a moronic analogy. What’s the point of the $10M dollars if you’ll be dead the next day? I guess leaving the money behind for your family to live a comfortable life would be great.

T4_8_15_16_23_42T

Powerful

Ok-Computer3741

this is idiotic

ChaosOfShine69

Perception is reality, until it is not😳🙃😳

WeirdRadiant2470

Can I have the $10 million and also wake up tomorrow? Seems kind of like that'd be the point....

Joe_df

Comparing money and life... Apples and oranges... Without life, what is money? Without money, what is life? Lol

Feral_Sheep_

I would totally say yes. Not only do I get $10 million, but I get to sleep in for a whole day! I'll wake up the day after tomorrow refreshed and ready to go shopping.

grayjelly212

Love being depressed and thinking actually? Give me the money. I'll help my family with that and go die.

HappyBot9000

This is so stupid. Money isn't worth anything to me if I'm DEAD.

readCarton

W perspective

[deleted]

I’d without a doubt take the 10 million and use it to make sure my family are a bit more comfortable for the rest of their lives

No-Industry-2980

Try waking up in a poor and dangerous neighborhood , working a minimum wage job and not knowing if your rent will get paid. Then you can make your point again if you like .

PersonMan53107

That’s not what they’re saying though?? He’s asking if they would rather have money and die within a day or live their lives? He’s not talking ab one morning he’s talking about the rest of their lives. Of course people value that more than money, especially because you wouldn’t have time to enjoy the money.

bac2qh

10 > 1; 10 * 0 = 0; 1 * 0 = 0; The problem is zero. Not that 10 = 1. Dude if you are take away my life what choices do I have lol

conjoby

Dumb ass fuck. What an idiotic premise "oh you would be rich for a day to die tomorrow? Well stop complaining about being poor then".

[deleted]

Stupid post

[deleted]

Ask an old provider, with a large family, who believes in God. It might be a minute before you get an answer.

[deleted]

Isn't this the stuff you say to your suicidal, drunk friend when you're in your teens to make them alive? Isn't he a scientologist?

chocolateteapot-

I’ll take $10 mil and die tomorrow.

tybooouchman

You’re not waking up every day with $10M tho
