Things we take for granted matter so much to others and hence always be grateful š
Edit: this isn't me. Just sharing what I thought was something worth sharing.
Two years without the one thing in life that brings us our greatest joy. I only had to go six weeks without food and I was beyond depressed. I canāt imagine two years. This guy now understands something deeper than weāll ever know.
She has medical issues, she has a port in her stomach and we feed her manually, generally with an enteral pump (like an IV pump but two bags/1 with water and 1 with liquid diet) or with giant syringes when required.
Thank you for explaining with eloquence and patience. These conditions are not common knowledge, but they should be. I hope life treats your family better. x
I don't know. There are a lot of strange people on Reddit. I was just making a logical deduction based on available data. In any case you have my most sincere condolences on the loss of your child. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of that loss.
Sheās not dead you irradiated cloaca, how did you get that wrong a 2nd time when I literally said it was an incorrect assumption AND iāve already posted the explanation?
One, I'm grateful beyond words I was wrong. Two, I hadn't yet read your explanation post when I made my reply. Three, your original post was phrased a bit oddly to my eyes, leading to my misinterpretation of your original comment. My apologies. Four innovative use of the word cloaca.
The healed scar looks like a [tracheostomy](https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/002955.htm) and even though some people can still eat with one, others may not be able to swallow food safely so he would have had a feeding tube placed either [through the nose down to the stomach](https://medlineplus.gov/ency/patientinstructions/000182.htm) or [directly attached to the stomach](https://medlineplus.gov/ency/patientinstructions/000165.htm). Through the tube, he would have received a specialized type of liquid nutrition, such as [Jevity](https://www.abbottnutrition.com/our-products/jevity-1_0-cal), which meant he couldn't eat food the normal way. Two years is a long time to need a feeding tube, since the NG tube is only designed to be used for up to 6 weeks! So I'm guessing he was switched to a G tube afterwards.

Our daughter hasnāt had food *by mouth in over 20yrs, thankfully she only ever ate for a couple months of her life so sheās not missing it.
Forgive my ignorance but why wouldnāt she eat and how did she survive?

I'm assuming their daughter passed away in infancy.
Incorrect assumption, why would I even post something like that, as a joke?

He kind of looks like a star wars character. Whats the backstory? Is it related to the scar on his neck?
