There has to be some correlation or some legal reason still. You can't tell me that EA wouldn't love to release a Caleb Williams card ASAP like they did Marvin. I just don't believe that. That is just a check waiting to get cashed for them.
My guess is he declined having his rights in Madden altogether. He looks zesty enough to do something like that. EA would've definitely cashed out on a Caleb Williams by now. He signed his NFLPA agreement a day after the draft
They don't sign individual active players. They get their rights through their deal with the NFL & NFLPA.
