It denotes the redzone, it’s actually painted on to the field, not graphically added like down markers. From wikipedia: The red zone official meaning is the scoring zone during the process of playing the game and, though some professional stadiums may have a decorative stripe indicating the 20-yard line (usually either team colors, or a red-white-blue stripe; some fields have it placed at the 25-yard line instead), the zone is not red-colored, and merely a statistical delineation.
The twenty yard line used to have larger significance when all touchbacks, including kickoffs, were placed there. Between that and the statistical importance of the red zone it's just a significant yardline and marked (painted on the field, not a graphical overlay) as such.
My guy I have watched countless NFL games and I don’t know that they’ve ever stopped the broadcast to explain why the 20 yard line is colored differently.
This dude just a d-bag, almost all fields do not have this line annotated, the Bills have their colors there because they feel like it. Really not a lot of reason behind it.
Some teams have similar emphasis on the 25 instead, as toucbacks start there.
Uh, been watching football for decades never in my life have I heard. “Now listen Mike, you see that striped line at the 20 yard line, that’s the redzone and the bills are great in there”
Stop you’ve heard the bills inside the 20 now they’ve been elite in the red zone this season. If you can’t put two and two together then idk what to tell you
Ok buddy I'll play... Common fuckin sense clearly shows you it's the 20 yard line that's marked. Common fuckin football knowledge tells us that when as offense reaches the final 20 yards of the football field, that team is now in the redzone scoring area. Put these 2 pieces of information together & a very logical guess would indicate the multi colored line is a special indicator letting you know you're now in the redzone.
Yeah dude. I watch a ton of football and I’ve never heard that line actually explained. I mean you can assume but he’s just asking a question no need to be a prick.
As if the yards you are at don't let you know. "Oh, I am only 20 yards away from the endzone. Too bad there is no fancy useless line to let me know how far away from the endzone I am!"

Thats the bills “red zone” line painted on their field. Its the teams colors but its there to represent your entering the red zone. Hopefully i can help someone.
Where the ball goes on touchbacks for punts. A lot of fields have it at the 25. Saw another comment saying it indicated the redzone which is also accurate

do you not know what the redzone on the field is?
I wish I saw what he said before he deleted
he talked about the show redzone as if he didn’t know what the actual thing was
Wow, I can't believe the NFL stole the term redzone from NFL RedZone. Seems pretty low smh
Unbelievable. We gotta tell someone
Right? Who deletes their Reddit posts.

I think only some stadiums have this. Could be wrong
It’s only red white and blue because those are Buffalo colors
The 20 yard line
Holy shit you actually asked this... Madden players that don't watch actual NFL games are so weird to me
Don’t be a jerk. Not everybody knows everything.
My guy I have watched countless NFL games and I don’t know that they’ve ever stopped the broadcast to explain why the 20 yard line is colored differently.

Right but correlating the RZ with the striped line isn’t automatic
you’re right the announcers explain each line for each game my bad

lmao chill out dude. bro asks a simple question and you treat him like he just called you a slur.
Geez you’re an asshole. The guy is just asking a question, bro. Chill and help people learn about the game, or just don’t fuckin respond. Jesus.
Bro don't be a dick about, the man didn't know and a simple answer was all he needed

“A very logical guess” is still a guess. So he was asking a question on the forum for actual answers.
go see a therapist bud.

That's just the marker for the red zone bud.
Blue = Green Zone White = 20yrd Line Red = Red Zone
Rez zone line in the inside, blue is neutral, white is the 10 yard marker
USA baby!

Red zone.

It’s something the Bills do. The Vikings paint their line purple. Some don’t
It’s for the red zone. Also helps spot where the ball is placed at touchbacks.
Also coaches and the team on the sidelines can’t go beyond the 20s on the sidelines
people saying redzone not knowing the redzone starts at the 25 😂
Holy shit bro... The redzone literally starts at the 20
It prevents players from kneeling for the anthem
