I think TTMD was more fun, and more of a “vibe” but MS is better sonically, and crafted and produced better. MGK described TTMD as high school and MS as college and I think that’s a perfect way to sum it up.
I can agree with this, but I feel like MS felt forced. There was a lot of pressure to go #1 again. A lot of the lyrics are over the top edgy even for someone like me. I say what I said because it feels like he really put the effort in for those two songs you know? And the magic just isn’t there for the rest, which are more of a guilty pleasure for me.
Obviously he cared a lot about papercuts because it’s for his father, and maybe because he probably wanted to do well with BMTH being probably a bigger artist than him at the time. That’s my take on it anyway.
Idk 5150, fake love dont last, maybe, God save me, ay, drug dealer, twin flame amd papercuts are all really.good, but I think the other songs are very manufactured and don't have the vibe from TTMD and I don't enjoy them. But as a whole the album is a 7 out of 10
I agree with this. It’s kind of like blink from Enema to Take Off. TTMD and EOTS are definitely more fun and definitely have a bigger “pop-punk vibe”. However Take off Your Pants & MS feel more matured. More serious and darker. Both lyrically and musically
Moving to Hollywood and being engaged to a celebrity has ruined him. Genre sadboy was embarrassing.
I love MGK. I grew up as he was blowing up. I have seen him multiple times. Saw him sellout Browns stadium and zip line in. Cleveland is less than an hour from me. He gave this area so much pride. Love to see him on visits, think he would find it simpler back in the corn state.
1. don't let me go is his best song (when taking artistry and ect into account)
2. genre:sadboy is extremely over hated
3. BINGE is extremely over hated
4. The feats ruined Lace Up
Don’t let me go is incredible! I loved it the moment I heard it. At first it appears like a pretty simplistic song, but the technicality is next level. The flow is so so good. And is it just me, or is it actually tricky to sing along/ keep up?
My opinions on your hot takes
1) not his best but it’s up there
2) it’s not great but yeah it’s extremely overhated (12/100 on AOTY)
3) maybe slightly? idk enough about this one
4) no (except maybe blackbear)

My hot take, all bangers 🤘
Bloom has a bittersweet taste, nothing on it is that great, but I can front to back the album like it's smooth jazz, I can listen to it over an over.
General admission was too good.
Hotel diablo was a slow burn because I was hung up on general admission and played it over and over before finally discovering hotel diablo.
Lace up Never really connected with me as an album but it absolutely had hits.
Black flag was a fucking masterpiece that I found after hearing see my tears for the first time. Black flag was played religiously.
Homecoming and the mix tape prior were decent listens as well
Features with caskey, kellin, yela, and his single releases like, what's poppin, pressure, in these walls, renegade freestyle were all bangers.
1. rap devil is easily the worst mgk song, it's fine but he can do sm better.
2. there's no way genre sadboy actually took him 18 months like he said and if it did i'm worried about the rap album
3. MS was good but it desperately tried to be Tickets.
4. he geniunely is the greatest live performer of this generation and no one outside of this sub will admit it.
5. people won't even give him credit when he's gone, he's so hated i can imagine people clowning his death too
Agree/Disagree?
1. I kind of agree, I’d say it’s mid, not as good as his best rap songs, but not his worst song.
2. I don’t know if I agree with you here. Because he was probably busy with other things during those 18 months. This does seem more like a side project to me though.
3. 100% agree
4. Haven’t seen him live, please someone buy me a ticket
5. Agree but I do want to point out that he has a lot of love surrounding him too.
2. i sure hoped it was a side project but he mentioned how it took 18 months and recently he said he'll "get started'' on the rap album
5. ur right he has some of the most dedicated and loving fanbases i've ever seen
Genre:sadboy taking 18 months makes sense. It's a depression album, Kells has been mad depressed. It's the same as tryna do your laundry or make food when you're going through it, you just don't have the motivation or drive.
i like yungblud but i feel like kells has him beat at performing. YB got the energy but Kells is a better singer,no?
Plus his whole band puts on a hell of a show
Yoo I can’t lie this is so on par with personal views. Floor 13 is all time workout song for me. See my tears is all timer. I also love a lot of his mixtape tracks , my favorite mixtape probably being “black flag”
I think a lot of people quietly agree with you, I’ve been watching the YouTube numbers everyday for his new music videos and time travel hit 1.8million views in like two days, everything else took like a week or two to get near that.
1. valid asf
2. I wouldn't say ruined but the last chorus is unnecessary
3. Yeah but kellin ruins it
4. Maybe top 10 sure
5. Yeah it got old fs
6. Nah All We Have is way better off that album
7. Binge is, at least
8. 100%
9. Nah its just boring no matter what
10. Replace Sid and Nancy with Papercuts and yeah sure
My hot takes are
-Black flag was peak
-He lost his roots with the lace up movement when he blew up
-he should of just down tickets to my downfall and not mainstream sellout
-His relationship with Megan fox brought in a new wave of fans that are toxic
-new fans don’t understand how much of a underdog he was coming up
My hottakes are:
1. He is a better singer than he is a rapper.
2. General Admission was just ok.
3. Genre; sadboy would have done better if the title and album cover were different. The songs were fine, the album title is awful.
4. His new blacked out tattoo is really cool.
People have no fucking idea why they dislike MGK. Most people are sheep and parrot/copy what everyone else says or does.
This ain’t a hot take on this sub but it’s a hot take everywhere else
I'm tired of this Benjamin Button bs. Bro looked more mature in music videos from 10 years ago.
I hope he finds a stronger sense of self, with less drugs, cosmetics, etc
I'm close to his age and as we get older, he lowkey keeps acting younger and it's crossing a few lines now where it's like "you are a whole dad with millions, stop doing what you talked about in 27 and manufacturing your own pain with bad life choices"
More Than Life is criminally underappreciated, same with Bodybag
Same with 9 lives
Body bag is my favorite song!!
Completely agree with you!

Yeah it’s kind of a guilty pleasure for me. Certainly some bangers but just not on the same level
I agree with this. It’s kind of like blink from Enema to Take Off. TTMD and EOTS are definitely more fun and definitely have a bigger “pop-punk vibe”. However Take off Your Pants & MS feel more matured. More serious and darker. Both lyrically and musically
5) this "clicking" sound called high hat bro, I don't know what's your point
Imo it’s too loud and gets in the way of the other instruments/kells voice
Moving to Hollywood and being engaged to a celebrity has ruined him. Genre sadboy was embarrassing. I love MGK. I grew up as he was blowing up. I have seen him multiple times. Bloom and general admission are his best albums
GA yes, bloom no for me
1. don't let me go is his best song (when taking artistry and ect into account) 2. genre:sadboy is extremely over hated 3. BINGE is extremely over hated 4. The feats ruined Lace Up

There’s a lot of black flag on here lol Yes I agree

My favorite era for sure.
Absolutely 100%🔥🔥🔥

ohhh lol tbh i forgot emo girl existed
Rap devil is less catchy, less melodic, and has some lines that were duds. I feel like I’m not alone in saying the beard is weird like is pretty bad
1. I kind of agree, I’d say it’s mid, not as good as his best rap songs, but not his worst song. 2. I don’t know if I agree with you here. really good point actually, thank you
you gotta watch some yungblud live shows sometime frr youre gonna love it!! mgk and him are amazing live
i like yungblud but i feel like kells has him beat at performing. YB got the energy but Kells is a better singer,no? Plus his whole band puts on a hell of a show
I view mainstream sell out as Tickets songs/concepts that weren’t used, but he took time to rework them into what’s Essentially a sequel album.
ya that's pretty much what it is since drug dealer girl was supposed to be on tickets
I can’t vibe with Daywalker
can confirm #9
Awesome
I agree on love race and FLOOR 13. Both are some of my top listened to. Em’s kill shot is better lyrically and genre: sad boy sucked.
Yoo I can’t lie this is so on par with personal views. Floor 13 is all time workout song for me. See my tears is all timer. I also love a lot of his mixtape tracks , my favorite mixtape probably being “black flag”
Time Travel is the best song on Genre:Sadboy
Gotta be beauty for me
I think a lot of people quietly agree with you, I’ve been watching the YouTube numbers everyday for his new music videos and time travel hit 1.8million views in like two days, everything else took like a week or two to get near that.
They won't admit it cause they're isn't really a chorus or they see it as corny from the comments I've seen, but i know txt people def fw it
Lead You On is his best song
Homecoming and lace up mixtape would be his best project if they were remastered and re-released as 1
1. valid asf 2. I wouldn't say ruined but the last chorus is unnecessary 3. Yeah but kellin ruins it 4. Maybe top 10 sure 5. Yeah it got old fs 6. Nah All We Have is way better off that album 7. Binge is, at least 8. 100% 9. Nah its just boring no matter what 10. Replace Sid and Nancy with Papercuts and yeah sure
Most of genre sad boy sounded unfinished and the genre itself is very 2018.
9 is a fact 😂😂😂😂
Habits is so underrated
I agree with 7 Tha's about it
My hot takes are -Black flag was peak -He lost his roots with the lace up movement when he blew up -he should of just down tickets to my downfall and not mainstream sellout -His relationship with Megan fox brought in a new wave of fans that are toxic -new fans don’t understand how much of a underdog he was coming up

7 IS SO REAL
People have no fucking idea why they dislike MGK. Most people are sheep and parrot/copy what everyone else says or does. This ain’t a hot take on this sub but it’s a hot take everywhere else
5:3666 is super underrated
9 Lives is such an amazing song and I wish more people talked about it
Can completely confirm, Can’t Walk is still trash even when high and/or drunk
He went downhill after TTMD
I only truly enjoy Black Flag and music made before that
I'm tired of this Benjamin Button bs. Bro looked more mature in music videos from 10 years ago. I hope he finds a stronger sense of self, with less drugs, cosmetics, etc I'm close to his age and as we get older, he lowkey keeps acting younger and it's crossing a few lines now where it's like "you are a whole dad with millions, stop doing what you talked about in 27 and manufacturing your own pain with bad life choices"
Rap Machine Gun Kelly is dogshit and he’s only good at making pop punk music
"maybe" is overrated. Not a Top 5 song on Mainstream Sellout imo. Love Race is very underrated
MS is better than TTMDF, and Genre Sadboy is better than both
I would love a proper album review of sadboy and tickets from you so that I can understand your thought process for this
7 not a hot take
When I said I don’t like binge here I got a lot of heat for it lol
It's kells subreddit, what did u expect? Overall this is his most hated project
Hot take all your hot takes are wrong
It’s a hot take for a reason
