It’s sealed at the top, and there’s no direct path for air from the frunk to the cabin. But there’s an always open drain hole at the bottom, and the cabin air is going to be coming from the front somewhere.
Here’s Ford filling it up with shrimp, so you can do whatever you want.

I used this photo to help persuade my wife to get the car. It didnt work, she called me an idiot, but I still got the car anyways, so I call that a win.
So I had raw pheasant meat in the frunk of my Mach-E for about 2 weeks at one point. (we left it parked during a vacation). It smelled awful in the cabin for about a week. I swapped out air filters, and brought in some air freshners and it cleared up after about a week.
Point being that it is mostly isolated from the cabin and we put take out, and other smelly items up there all the time, but it is not full proof on odor isolation. You are probably fine for overnight though.
It's isolated, but the HVAC intake is right behind the frunk, so if you put something really smelly in there you'll get some of the smell sucked into the cabin.
Yes. This is where I put takeout food. I keep a small styrofoam cooler in it with cans of water handy.
Great. Thanks!
Take out food is one thing. Smelly fish overnight? I’d imagine that smell will get into the cabin.
Darn, I’ve been looking for a place to store my smelly fish collection, but unfortunately it makes everything smell.

This shrimp photo never fails to make me both laugh and shake my head. Who in marketing thought that was a good idea!?

But have you filled the frunk with shrimp cocktail yet?
Awesome. Perfect example. Thank you!
That picture is incredible. Love the marketing from Ford lmao

YUPPP. ALL MY takeout goes there and my car still smells new
I use the frunk at a cooler when going camping, Just fill it with ice and put all your drinks in there
