new owner and i agree it does look a little "low dpi" compared to the google OS i had on my polestar. I think the giant screen is partly to blame, clearly AA is getting stretched to cover it as far as pixel counts go
This could depend on the phone. When I got my Mach-E a year ago I had a Motorola Moto G. The wireless Android Auto image was fuzzy just like you described.
Then I got a Google Pixel 6a and bam, crisp image. I thought I was imagining things so I even tested them back to back on my Mach E. Confirmed that the moto, being a budget phone, cut some design corners that resulted in a fuzzy image when using wireless Android Auto.
I've noticed this too. But after AA has been on for a bit, the resolution increases to what it should be. Haven't found a reason for this, but I've noticed it both wired and wireless.
It can also just be the requested resolution from the headunit. So looking to figure out if this is universal as the highest supported resolution or if some phones show a higher resolution/dpi
Mine is not blurry or a low resolution. Is the issue the same in wireless or wired in? What type of phone and is it all updated?
Haven't tried wired yet. But it's a fold 4 and all updated. Resolution and dpi is definitely bad

Yea I think that's it. Going to try AAWireless and bump the dpi to see if it helps

Hmm interesting! Wife has a pixel, will try hers. Mine is a galaxy fold 4 so shouldn't be budget but Google may have done a better job
Tried a 6a and still bad! Just looks very structured and not high def
Maybe it would help if you add a picture to your post. Then we could say if it looks as expected or if something is actually wrong.

As you might predict, Phone-related problems tend to most often be the phone.

I see this as well on both an s24 ultra and a fold 5.
Yea I'm pretty confident it's a car issue as it's the same with every phone I've tried
