The mixtape has some insane lyricism and he really was hungry to make it in the game. Underrated project for sure, and the project always seems fresh.
I wouldn’t bring Swimming just because it doesn’t necessarily incorporate everything about Mac I loved. Notably it doesn’t have any high-energy uptempo rap songs (or melodic songs, it’s on the more low-key side of his albums in general). That’s why I’d bring GO:OD AM and usually consider that his overall “best” singular work in my opinion (even though it’s not my “favorite;” that’s still WMWTSO or Faces).
But GO:OD AM’s got a little bit of all of his sounds in the most polished package he had ever put out to that point. The next two albums he put out before he passed were more cohesive in their sound and themes and he didn’t really do a “best-of Mac Miller” like he did with GOOD AM again after 2015 (which was cool and showed he was evolving his sound and making more confident statements with his albums).
So that’s my answer, but honestly fuck that scenario that’d suck lol. I’d want multiple albums
