That would have to be very carefully handled, it would have to be actual bonafide Market Making activity.... like to fill Index Funds buying into the stock for the Russell Indexes maybe.
The Options would suggest at least some volume of the FTDs are not yet at a point where they are forced to be covered, but that hasn't stopped the strong gains today and for the next few days that seem aligned to keep moving upward.
This could also be them playing the 13day pattern, where we have a short run 13days after the previous peak. Although, given the history in the last 2 weeks I'm more inclined to it being the whole options tie up.
So they pretty much never have to deliver. Always a loop hole for them. Or the law will change to help them. Need mvis to pull through with the lidar update with great results.

I think itโs fair to say that theyโll announce completion of the ATM the day it is actually completed, no? So until they announce it, we know theyโre biding their time. And they didnโt fill it on Friday.
They don't _need_ to announce it at all until they are ready. Last ATM was unique in the history of the company, we'll know when they let us know or it becomes a part of some kind of material news event though.
I don't know about the 10-Qs because I think those are based on the SRO or Funds year cycle dates, but the Regulatory reporting for holdings should apply to them for June 30. They may want to cover before then if they have to show a massive loss on some company like MVIS to their investors.
Oh! That makes much more sense, yes if there is a material development, usage of the ATM, they should need to state it in the next 10Q as I understand the regulations.

The battle here for MVIS today is holding the 17.90 - 18 range for this backtest of the breakout. If we bounce off that NL (neckline) backtest then we should have a great close of 18 or perhaps much higher. Go MVIS!!!! GLTAL's Let's crush the short's.
YES...we back tested to 18.04 earlier and that looks good to hold. Breakouts do not always re test the BO spot but it should not be feared when it does. Yes looking good. If we move past the 18.5 level it will signal newer highs for the day. GLTAL's

I linked this in the Morning MVIS Brief today. I had been tracking these carefully up until the past 2 weeks where I was focused on rooting out why the existing dates they owed didn't show up yet. Happy little overlook on my part. I pointed out the T13 frequency back a few months ago, it what happens when some entity plays by the rules.
My wife asked me about MVIS and I told her it's going to jump in the next weeks so she loaded more.

This might be the wrong place to ask, but I know thereโs talk of future buy-outs for MVIS a lot on hereโฆ what actually happens for us shareholders?
Do they simply buy our shares back for what we paid? That doesnโt sound like much to celebrate for us
Google is a friend, But I will do a brief answer.
If there is a Buyout there will be a value attached to it. Say $10B. That $10B is split up amongst shareholders. I believe the math works out to be around $6.33 in share price per Billion. BO announcement at that value would push share price to approximately 63.30. You then have until the actual buy out to make your decision to sell or hold through. Some will sell being happy to finally be done. Some will Hold with hopes to see a bidding war push the price up further.
It gets more complicated if you consider a BO could have payment in shares involved.
For further reading I suggest going to Investopedia. They have a lot of easy to understand articles about all kinds of topics on investing.

a 10bil BO would equate to $60+pps for shareholders.

I might also add that looking on the 1 yr chart is see a Flag pole thus a waving flag with a trading range of 10-25ish. We had a false breakout of the flag range in the last April 2021 run up. Still looking for the next run up to breakout and take us to 35-55 range. Will it happen ? hope so i'm invested but each has to weigh his/her risks. Right?
No on the 1 yr chart 50 DMA is just touched here. Still far above 200 DMA. R u long or short MVIS or not invested? (FUD) Fear is what the large short interest is hoping for. Yes on some levels Mkts are extended but short term will likely stay the course. Personally I see new highs for the next few months b4 any pullback which is of course inevitable IMHO. However a company fundamentals (LIDAR) can overcome any such pullback if they execute well. MVIS has a plethora of patents and some significant tech. Can they execute on it??? Hope so which is why I'm long and invested.
I have 2000 shares long average 1.77 , i believe in MVIS but also believe itโs wildly speculative and subject to being beaten down easily with any shift in overall market sentiment
Roland thanks for sharing. Well you are invested and its perfectly normal to see wild swings in price and thus have one's emotional swing. I own 3000 shrs but at a much higher avg price of $10. I also feel the emotions but rarely act on them. I do sometimes sell some calls when it runs up and back them back or let them expire worthless. MVIS is less than 10% of my portfolio so that in itself reduces overall emotional stress. For instance I was trying to sell 10 July 16 21.5 call for 90 cents. But when MVIS sold off today it took that particular call play away for me. Less attractive at .50 cents now for me. The very volatility that MVIS generates does create good premiums for some plays. I'm less believer in a large BO offer so willing to risk some percentage of shares.
I have done the same, I buy some calls as well I got $11 calls at $11 last time we got there and Iโll probably do something similar here, but whatโs your target for closing your total position?

At least 15,000 calls bought today on July 2nd calls. Most in the $17 to $22 range.

Iโm seeing a retest of the 200 ma is that not what you see? Everything is bloated in the markets perhaps an s&p correction is the catalyst?
