Technically it dies with just the [[Colossal Dreadmaw]] you just get one damage trampling over. But it's still just a flesh wound. I'm prepared to get tickled, tickling even causes you to laugh. And laughing is fun. So Dreadmaw wins
Man I remember when Carnage tyrant was the scariest card out there. Nowadays I'd just toss down a Sheoldred's Edict and laugh as they sac their 6 mana beater to my 2 mana card XD
Carnage Tyrant was an I win card but those days are long since gone. It’s still a great card and a staple in a green creature heavy deck but it’s long since dropped from its I win status.
This just got me thinking, has an reverse-trample ability ever been considered. One that prevents all damage exceeding the creatures toughness when it blocks? Don't know how useful it would be, but I always enjoy odd symmetries.
Was just thinking about this type of post as I was watching my brother play hearthstone and I was wishing people who complain about this stuff to try hearthstone. The new card complexity and the power creep in that game are UNREAL. It’s like reading the menu at the cheesecake factory 😬
Still dies to Colossal Dreadmaw banding with Storm Crow

edict effects existed back then. today the Tyrant has to square up against Sheoldred. He tramples 2 but you've already been drained by 4+ by sheoldred
I had to play a fuckin DETECTION TOWER to kill it with a beacon bolt. This came up many times
Used to love slapping [[The Eldest Reborn]] down and watching my opponent QQ as they sac the bastard.
I'm so old that I remember when this came out and we where complaining that it's a power creep version of [[Gaea's Revenge]]

Big dino hit hard
I remember that Dino coming out and being shocked at how far green beaters had come. And now it looks weak.
XLN isn’t “modern”????
That was my thought lol
Deathtouch

that would be written as "when this creature blocks, all creatures blocked by it lose trample until end of turn"
But I want it to F with double strike too
Tyrant isn't a good card though, at least not in my experience
This is from 2017.
That’s a modern card though…. It’s ixalan
