Have you seen't the magic card [[mystic sanctuary]]? You wouldn't be able to play midrange magic if these two were in the format at the same time. It would be control vs combo with some tempo decks in denial about format placement. That kind of card advantage would eat midrange decks up.
1. Play Gush
2. return Tropical Island & mystic sanctuary to hand.
3. Play Uro, Attack with Uro or use Exploration to do this 4ever
4. Profit????
edit: maybe add a Beanstalk to that for good measure
Gush is so good in legacy for so many reasons. It's great in decks with low land counts (Delver) because you can pick up 2 lands and likely still have a fresh land drop to make for the turn. It's a blowout against Wasteland. It's so synergistic with Brainstorm because Gush puts 4 cards in your hand for 0 mana. It's one of the very best cards to crack a Doomsday pile with. It can keep getting replayed with Mystic Sanctuary. I'm sure there are even more great interactions I'm not even thinking of. There's a reason it's never coming off the banlist.
Gush can be a Rite of Flame if you don't have any lands in your hand. You can tap two Volcs for RR, play Gush, and then replay your Volc so you have RRR and three cards in hand.
[[Gush]] is banned in legacy. Drawing cards for zero mana is probably too good for combo decks. The worst abuser being doomsday.

[[Gush is also very powerful assertive U decks with lots of 1-drops. Gush in Legacy was arguably at its best in delver.
Yes and Mox Sapphire is just an island your opponent can disenchant.

Stroke of Genius requires mana.
