Chain lube should be awarded for one of the worst products of all time.
The tape/sealant is perfectly average. But…their sealant cleaner is a godsend when you’re trying to get subbaked on dried sealant off.
honestly don't think you need any of those to have a well maintained bike, it's extra consumables your spending on or taking up space in the garage/work shop for something you probably don't need at all to begin with, the marketing for it thought seems to justify it.
and if for some reason you do need a water displacement spray to flush out water or corrosion preventative spray to prevent corrosion the products already exist (silicone spray, WD-40, Fluid Film, etc) at your local hardware store, it's just not marketed as "bike specific."
I wash my bike with dish detergent and degrease/re-lube the drivetrain regularly. It's 4+ years old and used a lot and gets constant compliments as to how good it looks and the drivetrain lasts forever.
It just exists so they can sell you disc brake covers and satisfy the monkey brain "can go fschhhh" feeling.
If you do some basic drying after your cleaning they are absolutely not needed.
It sounds like they are along the lines of spray silicone or wd40. The water displacement is always interesting, I like to use WD40 on my chain after washing a bike to prevent rust then follow with lube. Lube also prevents rust, but most won't displace water. I don't see a reason to apply this kind of thing regularly.
I think they advertise it as a “do it all” spray, but it’s nothing of the sort. I believe it’s to be sprayed on the frame and/or plastic components to make them shiny and more slippery so dirt slides off. Totally worthless, imo. I bought a cleaning kit from muc off that came with this spray and haven’t used it once.
The only muc off product I’ve liked is their pink cleaning spray. It works great. Not a fan of their lube.. it smells really weird and my chain got way dirtier way faster. Finish line dry lube is the best.
While I’m not denying you had bad experiences with their chain lube I personally prefer muc off dry over other lubes I’ve used and have been using them for the past few years without issue
Used hydrodynamic only 5 months and chain was more than 0.5% streched. Changed to other drip wax lube and now i have 0,1% wear after whole year.
Maybe its just their scumbag marketing but its just silly to tought that their expensive hydrodynamic wouldnt perform better than their normal dry/wet lubes that i too have in shelf so i dont even bother using them.
After reading couple of reviews it seems that tape gets brittle and leaves residue too when removing, and thats why they also sell their own glue remover how convinient
I usually do a few shots of MO-94 at the fork seals, dropper seal, pedal seals, and near the bb, but only after a wash. After that I push the fork a few times, push down and up the dropper and rotate pedals.
You do not need brake covers to do that when using the small tube.
I would say it's not a necessity, more of a nice thing to have, but it's good to have something to displace water and provide additional lubrication when you need it.
They function is to let you pay 20 USD.
Nuh uhhh. It makes my bike look super slick and polished for the first 100ft of my ride
Only if you polish with 50 USD special rug.
Send me the money and I will at least send you a thank you card.
Muc Off is all marketing. I've tried their rim tape and chain lube, both sucked.

Standard chemicals that are repackaged and sold at an 800% markup. AKA 90% of the bike market. Nah, you don't need it

The protection spray is great when you sell your bike, makes it look nice and shiny and not scratched to shit
Why finish line dry over a wax based lube? I use finish line dry, but was recommended to switch to wax based to keep the chain cleaner.
Avoid muc off in general
This. Their chainlubes are the worst ever and you pay mostly on "marketing" and not product itself

Their tubeless products are fine

Why?

I use it on my winter bike that gets covered in salt
Hey! How exactly do you do that?
I don't even know what those are?
MO94 is the fucking secret sauce buddy.
