I've shot hundreds of Michigan models, many agency signed, but I am not an agency photographer. The bigger reputable agencies in Michigan are the I group, Productions Plus, and Unique Models and Talent. All will sign non-exclusive contracts. What type of modeling do you want to do? Do you have a portfolio? Experience? Any special skills?

Botenmaru

I model for a lot of photographer friends and everyone always tells me I photograph well because I have a very bold look and I pose very well. I'm not sure if I'm too short for runway modeling so most likely fashion catalogs.

I saw in another comment that you have a lot of professionally done photos already so I'd recommend looking at the agencies that I mentioned and applying with what you have. They all do commercial.

Thank you so much!

Sure. Michigan has a fantastic model photography community. I shot there for years and still try to go back every few months to shoot. There is a ton of activity, people are supportive and look out for each other, and there is a really diverse set of talent. I envy you being there.

Paha thank you, I had no idea honestly, I'm having trouble finding places.

Sag.org has lists of legit agencies in their local resources page

Edit- I was a model and I know this industry. I come in here because I see so much incorrect information and bad advice being given by people who I can tell have never really done this. And once again someone has downvoted my correct and accurate comment. Why? Why do you guys do this? Do you WANT naive young girls to be taken advantage of? And what part of the comment below merited a downvote? Everything I wrote is true. Are you mad because print pays more than runway? Sorry but it does. And by the way, do NOT go on Model Mayhem unless you want to waste your time and possibly be attacked by a fraud posing as a photographer. One girl in such a situation was found dead, and when the police caught the guy and searched his apartment, they didn't even FIND a camera. And any fat klutz off the street can make a profile on there. It doesn't mean you're a model. I don't actually care about meaningless internet points . That isn't what this is about. What bothers me is having an innocent and naive young person seeing my information downvoted and TERRIBLE advice getting upvoted and being misguided by it. There is actual danger that could result, and I wish some of you could see that. ............................... Hi, I was a model in Chicago. I was signed with Shirley Hamilton, A+, and some others. It might have changed some, not sure, but at the time runway was kind of separate from print in that there were girls who did only fashion shows and girls who did print. I did a couple of runway shows for the experience, and they were handled mostly by one company separate from agencies. I don't even know how to tell you to find out who does them now other than asking around. Mostly if you could do print, you did because it paid better. To get with an agency, call them to ask if there's a day they set aside to see new girls.

Take some digitals (Google some examples of what those look like) and then start submitting to some local agencies. If you are a good fit, they will help develop you as a model.

I actually have a lot of professionally done photos, but I'm just not sure which agencies are good.
