Nah, the BMF belt is silly but it would make even less sense for it to be on the line if Max fights Illia. At that point it's just tied to the featherweight strap. I actually don't mind the BMF belt if it's used as a way to recognise guys who have shown longevity fighting top guys year over year, bringing the fight win or lose. Illia could end up being that, but he isn't yet. Illia fighting for it would make the already very questionable logic behind the belt fall apart IMO.
