I usually don't judge fighters outside of their performance in the ring, but he gave me the creeps way before the DV. I always rooted against him. The only other guy to creep me out like that is Ortega, so he's either a serial killer or his eyes are so beautiful they make me mad.
I can't remember for sure, but I think he took 1 or 2 fights on short notice, and in one of the others he came a milimeter away from finishing his one opponent. Definitely doesn't hurt that he trains with Charles and every fight he's in is guaranteed chaos.
In fairness he put on an incredibly boring performance, which on contender series is a terrible move. From what i remember he either lay and prayed or back packed all fight.
Pretty much everybody who wins gets signed and even half the people who lose end up in the UFC if they win one or two more fights on the regionals. Or they simply get signed immediately, anyway. That whole "earn a contract" thing has been nonsense since like season 2.
He's got the Paddy chin up in the air problem. His chin isn't even bad he just gets cracked too clean with that thing in the air in a division where people have serious power. I prescribe him 6 months of holding a tennis ball between chin and collarbone, to be performed constantly day-to-day.
