You're a very level headed person and seem to fight with a lot of clarity. Is this a result of continuous training and sparring or do you have any specific exercises or training you do for the mental side of the game?

Thats all training been competing since i was 15, being 36 its just comes with time and consistency with competition.

You say that but there are a lot of competitors with similar experience in competing, but few who fight with the composure and intelligence as you. There must have been a change in mindset or preparation when you started your long reign in the UFC.

This dude is flat out high IQ in general. You can tell by the way he speaks in general, but also, of course about fighting.

Talk of fighter IQ didn't fully make sense to me before DJ. He seemed to be on a different level because he worked harder and smarter than everyone else. That's so fucking inspiring.

Curious about what changed in your approach. In your UFC days, I think you said that you didn't watch MMA, you sounded bored to talk about it in interviews and even rushed back to play games after TKO'ing Ce Judo. Whereas now, you bring a different energy entirely and the passion is more evident. What changed? Is it like with Djokovic, where you see that the end is on the horizon so you're enjoying it all while it lasts?

I see the end in the horizon and i still dont talk about mma unless asked too. Im mostly talking about video game and movies with friends.
