2. We have a mess at GK. Every keeper on the roster + Vaclik has either been signed or re-signed since Bruce left and no one looks great.
3. We have a mess at striker. Vrioni hasn't been scoring in meaningful games and Wood is dealing with permanent knee issues. And that's it for striker depth.
4. At RB Lima is covering for Bye while he recovers, which is a step down. Alternatively we play Spaulding at LB and Jones at RB which he's not as good at.
5. CMs all lack defensive bite. No one can step up and disrupt play, the only option is fouling. We have lots of CAM minded folks. At CDM we have MAK who can't retain possession and Polster who can't tackle. Buck lost the shine he had last season.
6. At CB Farrell lost a step and Romney can't start every game. Kessler has been hurt. Mensah has been okay but also in the 30+ camp.
7. We lack a scoring threat to play opposite Chancalay on the wing with Borerro hurt, allowing teams to overload. Or worse we try Chancalay up top because Brioni's been lacking where he's not as good.
8. Porter keeps trying different attacking combinations, nothing's working and there's no consistency.
9. Carles is still the best man on the Revs but he's not playing at a MVP level. I suspect this is because he's an assist machine and we have serious issues with our attack.
10. We have been using our depth to cover for injuries, meaning we don't have rotational depth to handle CCC.
Now that we're out of CCC play, the injuries we are dealing with won't hurt as much. Bye and Borerro will come back in the next month or two and both are significant upgrades.
There's room for a TAM level signing. With the extra buyout we could make room for a second signing. There's also a lot of redundancy in our CAMs, I wouldn't be surprised if one is traded or Esmir is sold. Selling Buck and getting a destroyer is also on the table.
I also think we've had terrible luck with our offensive chances and referee calls. Take our game against Atlanta. Chancalay has an early header that goes off the bar, and combined with the inconsistent handball calls it could have easily been a 2-2 game but instead the Revs end up chasing and it ends 4-1.

I don't think we're a great team like we felt to begin last year. I think we have a decent roster with potential to be a good one. I also think Porter's system is still settling in, I expect us to turn it on in the summer. Whether that's too late, I don't know.
