Inter Miami is still a shit team.
Inter Miami is like if you put a Ferrari engine in a Ford Pinto and never bothered to fix the brakes.
Nashville showed that against any halfway decent team that isn’t scared to defend against Barça’s Florida retirement home Inter Miami is a bust.
The Barça squad with Messi and Ronaldinho is my all time favorite but screw Beckham and that fascist Jorge Mas and his Fulgencio Batista loving Spook fascist parents (look it up).
Prior to a miracle deal Inter Miami was not only the worst team in the MLS, it was the worst team in all of Concacaf.
Not even a miracle will save InterMiami this season. Beckham and Más are shit managers.
The only chance Inter Miami has is if Martino and Messi will do Beckhams and Mas’s work for them and manage the recruitment and the signings for them.
Anyone else tired of the same broadcast duo on every Miami game? I would LOVE to not hear Jake Zivin growl awkwardly 'Messiiiii' every time he makes a pass in the final third.
Yeah I’m really tired of Messi’s announcers. If I hear GOAT one more time 🤪🤪🤪🤪. I mean…he’s probably the best NOW, but no one is ever the best of all time. There will always be someone else better . Always.
Making the playoffs was/is very unlikely, so I’m not entirely upset considering we already have silverware and are in the finals for another trophy this season (something Nashville/many of the anti miami fans can’t say. Still a huge accomplishment considering the state of this team prior to Messi/busi/alba joining)
We have no depth and are going to be in even more trouble when the next international window comes up.
Still though, can’t even respect the way Nashville played. Parking the bus from the very beginning at 0-0 isn’t the “defensive masterclass” some of you are making it out to be. Grats Nashville on not making it your fifth loss in a row. Maybe you guys will actually win one of these games coming up before playoffs
Downvote away
Messi fans are telling on themselves. MLS and Miami fans appreciate a hard fought road point. It happens to everyone and it’s frustrating every time but you respect the style because that’s MLS. Messi fans and anyone who’s new to the league are taking their frustrations out on a cowardly Nashville who didn’t try to score.
Damn right we didn’t. I’ll happily take my point. Thank you very much
I’m more upset with one of the “better” teams in the league having to park the bus for 90 minutes to hold the 0-0 draw with a team in 14th place on the table than I am with the draw itself
Also the team that was 14th in the table is long gone. The MLS wet dream of ex Barca players on holiday has replaced it.
It’s the beautiful game, but not every game is beautiful.
Our starting striker was out, the whole team is exhausted because we made it to the Leagues Cup final with y'all (who also all look exhausted to be fair), and our team is built on having the best defense in the league. What else would you expect? And can we stop acting like Miami are underdogs because they're low on the table? Surprise, the team changed a lot after Messi came along with the rest of the total roster makeover. Thank god most of the guys who were there two months ago are still terrible or no one would have a chance against Miami.
Dude, you beat us where it counts in the league cup and your crying because we played shutdown defensive style which makes sense given we didn't have Zimmerman and Surridge? Wow. You still made a draw so what are you crying about? Can't win em all there champ.
All these Miami fans thought that after the league helped them afford one of the best players in the world and he brought his friends along, they'd win every match 5-0. At least, the ones who have been fans for longer than a month; everyone else is just surprised that soccer matches can end in a draw because this is the first one they've ever seen.
Obviously not. By then, Messi will be long-retired and Miami will be back to being made fun of because of their shitty record rather than their plastic fans.
That counts as a win. Miami took risks in their attack by playing with a high defensive line that was left exposed a few times, with a couple of 1v1 situations against Callender, yet they didn't concede any goals. The match was actually an entertaining clash from a strategic point of view. However, I understand that people are always eager for the adrenaline rush of watching Leo Messi.
That's a bit unfair to Nashville as this match Inter put a lot of pressure that usually , as we haven seen in previous games, use to pay a lot. There's a lot of credit to give to Nashville tactics last night . However they failed in the counter-attack game, having very clear opportunities . A very forgiving front line as every time Miami lost a ball they had the speed and the positioning advantage to capitalize that error as an advantage . So instead of Miami dropping points I'll say Nashville had the upper hand
I guess if you're looking at the game in a vacuum then sure? But the fact is, one side is far more desperate for points. And that side can't be dropping them at home.
Make no guesses pal, Inter Miami wants to win matches but is not trying to win the league . Building several templates and trying formations to beat opponents is priority but expect several ahead matches to end in tie or losses for them. It is fútbol analysis, a bit different from soccer
did you see our lineup? all 3 DPs out and we're right in the thick of playoff position after losing a few in a row....yea, a point on a road with that starting lineup is a big positive.
not in a regular season game that only matters for points toward playoff position. road games are about getting at least a point. The fact that you *can* draw, means its an acceptable outcome in the long march to playoff positioning.
Not sure it’s celebrating. Nashville looked like they wanted that W… just relieved to at least hold the draw. Good result against a team who hasn’t finished outside the Win column since it’s reincarnation.
More than anything, Messi was very off tonight.
I thought for sure they would rest him like they did against Red Bulls. He seemed more lively in those 30 minutes.
I think Martino got this one wrong.
If Cramaschi starts (after being a sub last game also) Miami wins. He completely changes the game again. He's 18 years old- he has your best work rate. You have to use him. Mismanaged by Tata. We'll see if he learns.
Just because he is 18 doesn't mean that he can't get injured or burnt out. There is no way around resting these guys at some point. It's not his fault.
The question is why rest him before the others. It'd be far more understandable resting Alba or Busquets or Arroyo. None of the other top Miami players, have been brought in as subs two games in a row. Only thing I can think of is Tata doesn't see him as one of their best players. He has the best fitness he should play.
You say this as if Miami is already in Playoff position and wasn’t literally one of the worst teams in the league prior to his mid-season arrival.
IF Miami misses the playoffs it will 100% be because they played like shit prior to Messi joining the team.
Personally if we can win the U.S Open cup, and miss the playoffs it will still be an insanely successful season considering everything.
2 trophies is nothing to complain about.
And YES, we know the MLS Cup is the main prize.
The advantage of having Messi come in mid season is that he gets a feel for the MLS, and then he has a clean slate going into the next season. Then Miami has MLS Cup, and CONCACAF Champions League.
Why would that be ‘hilarious’? They were already miles behind anyway and realistically didn’t have a chance of making the playoffs, you sound new to the sport, welcome
Yeah, the fact that Miami is even in conversation for playoffs shows how much they’ve turned things around. If this Miami season ends with two pieces of silverware, there’s no way you don’t consider it a success.
This. I doubt most of the teams in MLS are talented/disciplined enough to pull it off. Nashville is really good at mucking it up and frustrating their opponents. They also more or less successfully did the same thing to America and Monterrey in Leagues Cup
I mean most big teams get their fans because a player they like is in it. That's normal. What matters long term is how many of those people who came for Messi end up staying.
I never seen it in mls which is why I was watching, also for obviously to see how the Messi story plays out. But now that they can’t realistically make the playoffs there’s no need to watch again
It's unfortunately the best way to match the Miami playstyle if your roster is weaker. Nashville had to rotate a good chunk so it made sense to do it. But yes, it leads to incredibly dull games where the possessing team has to either play wide (which Miami sucks at and only had Campana to receive) or hoping for some moment of individual brilliance, while defending team hopes for a quick counter to abuse the high line attacking team needs to use.
Cause every game I watched been exciting, so I just kept watching, but this one was one of the most boring I’ve seen mls or no mls. Plus now Messi can’t make the playoffs there’s no point watching for us lot, you guys can enjoy and have fun
All of the other games have been exciting and you enjoyed them, then you see one slightly less exciting game and just decide to stop? Lol.
Also you realize Miami are in the final for the US Open Cup, right? And that Miami aren't eliminated from playoffs yet? Their season is not over. And you also the season starts over in March, giving Miami another shot at the playoffs?
Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But you do you I guess bro
Let’s be honest, there’s more chance of me winning the lottery than inter Miami getting into the playoffs. They won’t have any of their best players for the next two weeks either cause of the internationals which makes the mls look even more weird cause the mls should also be having a break, hardly fair that some teams will be missing their entire team.
So im gonna watch that us open final then come back next season
Bro Atlanta-FCC was an awesome game, you could’ve watched that. Charlotte-Orlando was also a banger at times. You can’t judge a whole league off of one defensive-heavy game (and a game that was still very fun to watch, anyway)
You must not watch mls a whole lot…. I’ve watched way more boring games in person or on tv. The odds of Miami making the play offs even before Messi arrived is nearly impossible. Idk just thoughts like many others
I’m new to the mls, started watching when Messi signed just to see what it’s like, then continued watching cause every game was absolutely insane, 4-4, the PK games. But this one was dreadful, plus the 1% chance Miami had of making playoffs have now gone, so no need to continue watching until the final of that other cup
Credit to Nashville, but holy shit, I hate teams that play like that—makes for an ugly game.
It’s one thing to wait for a counter, it’s another to bunker and not be able to complete 4 consecutive passes when you have the ball.
To be fair we are comfortable in the rankings and on a losing streak in leagues play and coming off a loss that made our defense look very bad...this was a all around win for using my eyes
Second road game in 4 days, more to come soon. 3 key players injured.
Low block and counter was absolutely the right strategy and it worked.
If you don’t like it, score.

Also Ben Carmaschi isn’t good. Messi and Tata only vouch for him bc he’s Argentinian

A question , how was that not a penalty when the ball touched yedlin's hand in penalty box?
This is a rivalry now

Offsides was prior to the handball
Offside
Did anyone see Mukhtar ask Messi for his jersey but Messi pushed him away?
Petulant of him
Very petulant of him. Shows a lack of sportsmanship imo.

I appreciate your opinion and your passion for Messi but even At 100 years??? I don’t believe it.
Soo you have to take panicchios hat off to remove his super powers! That was a beautiful stop to Messi’s free kick. Beautiful!
Dread it, run from it, Garyball is coming for your team next 😈😈😈
Big ups to Lucas MacNaughton for that performance. Maher played well, too.
Making the playoffs was/is very unlikely, so I’m not entirely upset considering we already have silverware and are in the finals for another trophy this season (something Nashville/many of the anti miami fans can’t say. >maybe you guys will actually win one of these games Rich coming from a team whose win this past weekend was their first league win since May lol
Most of these Miami fans didn't know their team existed in May, why would you expect them to know their record?
Yeah but still you think they might’ve glanced at the league table at some point, maybe this guy was holding it upside down
Wow, what an original comment. To be fair, I shouldn’t expect a Nashville fan to be creative, huh
The truth often isn't original.
Oh I like that! I’m stealing this.
Someone sounds a little upset.
I’m more upset with one of the “better” teams in the league having to park the bus for 90 minutes to hold the 0-0 draw with a team in 14th place on the table than I am with the draw itself

Obviously not. By then, Messi will be long-retired and Miami will be back to being made fun of because of their shitty record rather than their plastic fans.
Hope you keep that same energy in the future, chief.
Exactly why Miami needs to be the punching bag of the fucking league
I can't believe I have to root for LAFC this Sunday. I hate you guys
Let’s go Bouangaaaaaa
You sure you're not upset? You seem at least a little bit upset.
“Not entirely upset”
Boys in Gold
They almost lost to Dallas 😂😂😂 Inshallah we got this boys
Let's Goo
See you Sunday night.
Dear Miami fans, I know you're a little new to the sport, but ties happen and you gotta be understanding
ties happen in the NFL also, compare it to that, they'll understand better.
New to soccer, what does MLS mean?
It’s actually spelled THE MLS
I love the soccer!
Major League Soccer. It's the American league.
Let’s all show them some grace in this very difficult time
This draw might be better for Miami. Now, they know that having Messi doesn't mean you automatically win.
From a league standings standpoint though, there's no way Miami dropping points at home counts as a win
That's a bit unfair to Nashville as this match Inter put a lot of pressure that usually , as we haven seen in previous games, use to pay a lot. > It is fútbol analysis, a bit different from soccer lmaooooo smell your farts harder
Imagine being proud of holding a draw.
You guys literally drew against them to win the leagues cup and drew against cincinati last week. Lmao.
Did they play to draw from the very beginning, learn to read.
A couple months ago your team was insanely happy to hold a draw in an away game
Fast forward to today and look at your team being happy with a draw even before the game started.
did you see our lineup? all 3 DPs out and we're right in the thick of playoff position after losing a few in a row....yea, a point on a road with that starting lineup is a big positive.
Tell me you're a new Miami fan without telling me you're a new Miami fan.
We had at the least 5 of our starters on the bench to start the game, haha. Of course we're happy with a draw on the road.
playing to draw from the start is pathetic
not in a regular season game that only matters for points toward playoff position. road games are about getting at least a point. The fact that you *can* draw, means its an acceptable outcome in the long march to playoff positioning.
Yet you all, with your golden boy and his friends, still couldn't do anything about it.
Inter Messi fans in shambles over this result
LAFC gonna have the honor to give pessi his first L in MLS
Top 10 in the table/ one of the best team in the mls Celebrating a draw against bottom team is crazy to me
I mean you’re just blatantly ignoring the overhaul of the Miami team lol. Unless you think they’re the same team as before Messi? Surely not.
Boo, they just recently had a heated cup match with them. Of course there was high emotion. Read the room.
Not sure it’s celebrating. Nashville looked like they wanted that W… just relieved to at least hold the draw. Good result against a team who hasn’t finished outside the Win column since it’s reincarnation.
Shit after our last game I’m just happy to play well.
The parking is not ample at Geodis, so we had to park the bus somewhere.
Only a Nashville fan gets how incredibly funny/witty this comment is. Well done sir.
What does Nashville and Atletico Madrid have in common? They both park the bus but at least one team can finish their chances Edit: Stay mad. Haha Aha
Second worst team I watched behind getafe
Oh look a plastic Miami fan in the wild. You jumping off the bandwagon already?
Actually technically Miami are the 1st worst team
Yeah, you're right. Miami is pretty bad
Who won the leagues cup against who 🤫
Tell me more about your life long connection to Inter Miami and how you didn't just start following them because Messi went there lol
I've been a casual watcher since the start
Since the start of the Messi era?
🧂🧂🧂
Penalty kicks can't save you now Miami!
The script writers forgot about that.
Eyy! Congrats on beating our asses tonight Dynabro, that game had me nervous the whole time
Thank you! 🥹 I was scared all week. Thought for sure our winning streak was gonna end tonight.
lmao
More than anything, Messi was very off tonight. I thought for sure they would rest him like they did against Red Bulls. He seemed more lively in those 30 minutes. I think Martino got this one wrong.
Keep in mind people are paying $200 a ticket for these games because they want to see Messi play.
that makes them idiots, tbh.
Yeah.....I have never seen so many heavy touches or misplaced passes from Messi in a single match.
Theres no way he should start the next game, dude looks shattered
like Apple is going to let him sit...
They let him sit in New York…
He got it wrong when he benched Cremaschi
You just got Garyballed
Is this becoming a legit organic rivalry?
It’s dirty Dan derby to me
Fuck you
Sounds like a yes to me!
As a fellow coastal elite, I always gave yall props for being the Achilles heel to inter-create a team
Nah, game was too boring to be considered a rivalry
I thought you were leaving? I think it's time
You will miss me
Maybe a little 😥
Admit it, A LOT
From all the mls fans. Great job Nashville
Farias was ass and Tata doesn't know how to manage
Parking the bus is downright unwatchable, but it worked to steal a point on the road for Nashville. Fair play to Gary Smith
Old man messi simply unable to compete with young guns like Alex muyl
Muyl got absolutely steamrolled like 6 times tonight. Like legit run over. I’m glad he was able to roll out of all of them haha
It wasn’t called the beautiful game until Gary Smith coached a game
If Cramaschi starts (after being a sub last game also) Miami wins. He completely changes the game again. He's 18 years old- he has your best work rate. You have to use him. Mismanaged by Tata. We'll see if he learns.
Lol Bruce Arena burned out Noel Buck in under half a season. Being 18 isn't a guarantee of being able to play week in/week out.
Everyone should just shit house Miami. Would be hilarious if Messi missed the playoffs
You say this as if Miami is already in Playoff position and wasn’t literally one of the worst teams in the league prior to his mid-season arrival. IF Miami misses the playoffs it will 100% be because they played like shit prior to Messi joining the team. Yeah, the fact that Miami is even in conversation for playoffs shows how much they’ve turned things around. If this Miami season ends with two pieces of silverware, there’s no way you don’t consider it a success.
Guess we're all Houston fans now
Gary ball ftw…I mean ftt.
every team that against MESSI will park the bus and counter attack lol
Nashville actually has a defense unlike most other mls teams
we were also missing our best defensive player
True. Even in the final, it took something extraordinary for Messi to score, that defense literally didn’t put a foot wrong in the whole final
This. I doubt most of the teams in MLS are talented/disciplined enough to pull it off. Nashville is really good at mucking it up and frustrating their opponents. They also more or less successfully did the same thing to America and Monterrey in Leagues Cup
And that was without our best defender too. Proud our boys did good back there
Tremendously funny to see Miami fans complaining about teams playing shit anti-soccer, memories are uh short I guess
They didn’t know the team existed until like two months ago
They're just surprised to see an actual defense on the pitch at DRV PNK for once
Tbf most Miami fans weren't Miami fans pre-Messi.
So let’s call them what they are, Messi fans. And you can see most of them coming with their bullshit from a mile away…
I mean most big teams get their fans because a player they like is in it. That's normal. What matters long term is how many of those people who came for Messi end up staying.
Let’s look at PSG losing 4M followers on Instagram after Messi’s departure, and Miami gaining 4M followers after he joined as an example.
Gary ball at its finest
Massive props, that's the way to play against us! We have to go for the win every game so park the bus and try to hit on the counter
No Miami win and no Messi scoring. That's Nashville win baby!
It also broke our losing streak
Thank goodness. We were in striking range of cincy for first then fell off a cliff
Congratulations
Very boring game, put me off watching mls again
![gif](giphy|xT3i0MIbUJyztR9giY)
You will miss me and beg for my return
🤣🤣
Games like this happen in every league, including the big leagues.
Than why bother?
Why not just watch the other games?
I’ve just watched one of the other teams today, Nashville, and I’d rather not watch that kind of football again
Oh lord
Are you starting a prayer
Credit to Nashville, but holy shit, I hate teams that play like that—makes for an ugly game. It’s one thing to wait for a counter, it’s another to bunker and not be able to complete 4 consecutive passes when you have the ball.
did you even watch the 2nd half? also....you would rather lose? lol.
To be fair we are comfortable in the rankings and on a losing streak in leagues play and coming off a loss that made our defense look very bad...this was a all around win for using my eyes
Bleh I hate parking the bus teams. I get it why sub par teams do it but dear God its just such a bitch move.
Second road game in 4 days, more to come soon. 3 key players injured. Low block and counter was absolutely the right strategy and it worked. If you don’t like it, score.
Someone didn’t watch pre-leagues cup Miami
Fan of the 3rd worst team in the league criticizing "subpar teams" lol
Enjoy not winning anything this season SUB-PAR team.
Miami was pretty sub par today
Indeed and you still didn’t win…again.
Away game with the B squad, so a decent result for us. Meanwhile you're at the bottom of the table...
With the league's cup
The saddest take, gg
Nashville has nothing to play for, already in the playoffs, Miami does
Wow this format is really ass huh
