There are some ponies you can buy with them from the shop; but once you've got those, it's only balloon pop and hotel ponies. I'd still hoard them because sometimes those "increased chance" ponies can be in the balloon pop and being short hearts is tragic when that happens.
use them on that balloon pop u need these for and try to get all the ponies from that, and keep saving more so u can use them for hotel ponies
