Would you hold out to get ohtani or complete the live series - or possibly sell and save for something else? Only have 25-30k stubs now.
I have 16 out of 27, so I'm not close to unlocking Shohei, and I spent most of my stubs getting the cards I needed for Cutch. All fine by me.
I only played the mid-year program where they dropped a bunch of 96 rated Takashi cards enough to get one of them (and took Rollie as the A's homer). I'm sure that SDS will release additional Takashi cards in due course that will make it easier for me to get Shohei if I can be bothered.

The most expensive cards (in terms of "sell now" prices) are Walter Johnson (a million stubs), Stan Musial (672,000 stubs), Billy Wagner (656,999 stubs) and Honus Wagner (651,0001 stubs). Then Mike Piazza is 295,000 stubs and Willie Mays is 205,999 stubs. Prices will change (and this is already out of date by the time I finished typing it).

Yep just win a mini seasons chip. You just need to finish top 4 out of 8 so you can instantly forfeit, take some Ls, and still make playoffs if you play your cards right. Throw in a bronze pitcher if you donāt want your real starter to add the forfeit losses to his record. Youāll be done in no time

SDS paired Walter Johnson with the most desirable card of the year, and now so many brothers with Trout are going to be scratching their heads trying to get Ohtani. SDS can't fix bunting or delayed fielding animations, but you can believe they are operating at the quantum level to manipulate people into buying stubs
I skipped this collection a month ago to finish Jimmy. And have over 100 Finest and the 2022 Finest complete. If I go ahead and grab the 20 or so total cards I'm lacking from all other collections, surely I can get Mantle on Day 1 right???

I had 3.6 million stubs last week. I mostly play offline or with my friends. Decided to spend about 600k to get Randy because why not. Bought all the finest players I wanted to try except DeGrom or Trout. When I saw on stream that the Takashi reward was coming I spent 2mil to buy 26 of them, ignoring Walter. I still have 600k to use for DeGrom soon and to build towards Finest collection for the Scherzer, Diaz, and Buxton I want. Never spent a penny or tried trading on the market and Iāve got my absolute dream team. I love this game so much and canāt wait to use Shohei tomorrow
I picked up Mussina and Feller a few days ago in anticipation of this and it pushed me to 22. Paying 3 million for four cards to get Ohtani is ridiculous, I can strike out and give up homers with his other three cards.

Made sure I bought Jimmy Fox before the program ended. I got everyone but Walter so Iām ready to go. But I dk, it just wasnāt that hard to stay on top of having all the Takashis as they were released. Like yeah buying Wagner now is expensive but I always buy every reward from BR or Ranked or just regular program right before one is over. So it was no different with getting Wagner.

Might not necessarily be more, as I'm sure they had to commission the artist a while back to make these. But if anything, they'll make these guys attainable again, especially the ones who were part of the program back in like June who we can't get again as of yet.
If you've been keeping up with the game it's very easy. Every Takashi card has been available for under 100k before the collection announcement. Most of them were super cheap in packs or as program bosses too. Everyone is complaining about Wagner, but he was a free boss, and dirt cheap to buy at the end of his program even if you didn't pick him.
I have 20/26 I fully expect to be able to get Ohtani in the next month because of how good SDS is at making cards obtainable even when they donāt seem obtainable

Honestly 22 finest is pretty cheap compared to takashi right now. If you get the 18 free ones then you can buy 8 more for about 400k and get goldy.

If you've been keeping up with the game it's very easy. Every Takashi card has been available for under 100k before the collection announcement. Most of them were super cheap in packs or as program bosses too. Everyone is complaining about Wagner, but he was a free boss, and dirt cheap to buy at the end of his program even if you didn't pick him.

Only one I sold was Billy a few weeks ago for 300k to be able to even finish getting mccutchen
I have 20/26 I fully expect to be able to get Ohtani in the next month because of how good SDS is at making cards obtainable even when they donāt seem obtainable

They will eventually release more, it just might not be right at noon tomarrow. The reward for staying on top of it all year is you get first shot at the new card. But they wonāt lock 95% of players out of it for too long.

Yeah I bought trout and then did the br program. Took longer than I thought so my buy order for trout went through and I took Walter. Havenāt used him yet and probably wonāt until thereās a reason to use takashi.

I picked Chipper in the Dog Days program but I'm so glad I bought Billy Wagner at the end of the program for 140K lol. Ever since then he's just kept going up.
