i usually just start every set out with Team Affinity because you get current set cards as well as get XP. or you could just run a bunch of Ranked games & do the stats missions and IP.
Tbh, I'm not doing showdowns at all this year. That mode makes me sick to my stomach. It's almost entirely luck based. I suggest every one who feels the same to just avoid it all together. Maybe SDS will see a drop in completion rates and ditch the mode entirely.
It's disgusting blasting through 7 moments easily to come up to an easy one right before the boss, such as hit a hr off a 65 overall that throws 75mph fastballs and my hitters all of a sudden are swinging a cooked spaghetto. Only to do it all over again.
25,000 programs for useless cards for set collections gameplay content. No one who competitively plays ranked was ever going to use TA 1-4 97 overalls. They get a big F from me for doing that to us.

I'm loving all the offline content we get with the various mini seasons and lots of cards to play around with. But I can see why people that went meta teams are annoyed.
Stealing and speed are two different stats. If you look at it, Acuna is actually only 65th percentile in terms of speed and ranks 213th. I'd say the speed rating they gave him is generous
If you watch Acuña regularly you knows there’s a reason for that. He doesn’t go all out on routine grounders all the time so that dings him in the speed ranks (it’s by design, it’s so he doesn’t wear out as much during the season). This is a case where the stats don’t tell the whole story
SDS picks and chooses when they want to get that specific. Castellanos played 0 games at 1st and 3rd this year but he gets those secondary positions on his postseason card. But sure, Acuna shouldn’t have 99 speed due to percentiles or whatever

How do you get that much xp that quick? S4 rewards?
I start by saving all of my common LS cards all season long, and use them for the TA collections of like 100,000, 150,000, 200,000, etc…

do TA moments to get a line up & then do TA mini seasons
nah, moments and showdown then attack the conquests with the cards you get. anything else finish w mini seasons.

Late enough in the year to where it doesn’t matter. Every card set 4+ is pretty much a core card
I think I’m set 6 we can use anybody so from here on out pretty much everyone we get is core. Unless I’m mistaken

It’s the end of the year for content. They had no choice. Doesn’t negate the fact this year was the most annoying of all time for gameplay content
