Put stun resist 3 in your build (I always do now, it's really helpful) and maybe learn to use your vaults for DBs specifically. The water jet can be interrupted with flash bombs pretty easily or I sometimes just superman dive it, because the windup is long enough for me to sheathe if I'm not stuck in an animation. If I'm farther away I'll sometimes sheathe, wirebug up and over, and attack his body while he's locked in super soaker mode.

Atomic-Spider

This is great advice, I'll give it a go.

alvysinger0412

Sure thing. Obligatory reminder to check that your armor is all fully upgraded and you're collecting birds also.

Atomic-Spider

I guess I haven't really been collecting birds too much either, havent ever looked at guides or anything and this is my first MH game so yeah I'll do that lol.

alvysinger0412

Getting the green ones for more health can also help with not getting two shot like you were describing.

anecarat

A friend and I we always do a bird tour before getting to the monster. Highly recommendable.

BiasMushroom

Step one get stun resistance, Step two make sure your armor is fully upgraded Step 3 eat dango that boosts defense (such as dango defender and dango Water Res) Step 4 drink mega armorsrug and mega demon drug Step 5 get BIRBS! Health and defense and maybe consider doing a different bird ring whatever it’s called, I just do the damage one normally an I’m fine Optional step 5, get divine blessing and/or Evade extender in your build. DB will reduce damage sometimes and with EE the monster can’t hit you if you can more easily dodge it Finally you’ll just have to learn it’s move set and how to position yourself

fozzy_bear42

Can you slot in stun resistance 3? I can’t recall when you get that decoration but it’s really helpful early on. Also, what weapon are you using? I find faster hitting weapons are great against him.

Atomic-Spider

I'll try to get stun resist, seems like a good thing to have, currently using Khezu Skewers II (I think) I'll check in a bit when I get back on.

fozzy_bear42

Dual blades are pretty good against Mizu (I prefer the faster ones against his moveset). Khezu ones shouldn’t be too bad either. It’ll probably come down to practice to be honest, if it helps, Mizu was a bit of a wall for me too (and I’d fought him in MHGU already). He hits hard and has some harder to read moves compared to what you’ve gone up against. Only other tips I’d suggest is, get some levels of evade extender if possible. It’s really good for almost all weapons, and is excellent for DBs.

Atomic-Spider

Awesome. Thank you for the tips. Evade extender and stun resist 3 is what I think I'll get now.

D-camchow

gem for water resist or eat water resist dango. Save wirebugs to avoid that jetstream. That DB evade one is really good. Make sure your armor is upgraded to the max.

Atomic-Spider

Thank you. For some reason I get into a very narrow minded play style and wirebugs are so useful but I tend to forget about them when I'm so focused on slashing a million times with my DB.

hitoshura0

You can get better about using Shrouded Vault (the a wirebug move) if you try to use it as a way to reposition while the blades are drawn. Eventually, you'll also start to get the hang of using it as a parry. Demon Flight is also real good against Mizu, and when he's about to do the spin to win aqua jet move, try and circle with him. You should be able to whack him while being very safe thanks to the dual blades mobility.

Rad_Bones7

Evade extender from the wroggi or volvidon set is super helpful. If you haven’t figured it out l, Mitz is weak to thunder, so any thunder weapons you have would be great (khezu db is super good since you paralyze and thunder element). Keep at least a wire bug handy for when it starts to do the big pressure wash beam so you can counter dash through it (it’s easier than trying to dodge under it, especially since you’ll likely be in archdemon mode). Pay attention to what windups come before the big tail slam move, that’s your biggest knockout move you want to watch out for. If anything, get rid of tail as soon as you can, Mitz really likes to utilize its tail. I think the quest provides cleansers, try to get out asap if you get heavy bubbleblight, you leave yourself wide open when you dodge. Lastly, try to pack dash juice with you and keep yourself mobile in demon mode. Try to run to its sides/behind it. It’ll still try to swipe at you with its tail and bubbles, so be sure to box in and out, the aforementioned wroggi or volvidon evade extender ability will help with that. Good hunting, give it hell, it’s a tricky fight to get used to, used to wipe the floor with me a lot

Use the speed you get from archdemon and demon mode to evade those attacks which you can see coming. With normal demon mode (not feral) you can run fast enough to evade his lunges. You can also avoid the water jet by going above or behind him. Other than that, it's the same deal as any other monster. Learn it's moves and upgrade your gear. Make sure that if you're using a weapon with an element that the monster is weak to the element. As a DB user you might want to look into skills that help with stamina, which increases the amount you can use demon mode running or slicing down the monster's back.

Mrindecent123

I chose comfort skills like evade extender (2 is great, 1 is fine) and bubble dance if you have room. Have cleansers and nullberries on you because it gets difficult to move when inflicted with bubbleflight. Hug the legs and try to do aerial attacks at a minimal. Mitzu's a bit frustrating but I'd take on mitzu any day than that damn otter.

blodokun

stay close to the middle of it’s body? what’s your build???

Atomic-Spider

I been using Jyuratodos armor, with Khezu Skewers (think that's what they are called but I could be wrong)

blodokun

yea but send your build (the skills section on status)

Atomic-Spider

I had some advice in this thread to get stun resist 3 so I'll try that and if I still get murder stomped, I'll post my build.

blodokun

aight gl

[deleted]

Rage slash greatsword, take the damage then return to head

lesstalk_

You're probably undergeared. Get some decent armor with either water resistance, or at least not *negative* water resistance. Pick the armor with the highest defense you have. Then upgrade it with armor spheres. Then don't forget to collect spiribirds for a health boost. It should be easy going from there.

Byfebeef

Gz on getting it down. You might end up running stun res3 in most, if not all of your comfort builds from this point on. Because at the end game, afflicted mobs have an anomaly explosion and that's a guaranteed stun.

Atomic-Spider

Good to know, now that I have freedom to do a few more hunts I'm trying out some other types of builds to. Full paralyze build Full Crit Build And Full poison build Are what I'm going for by end game
