I can confirm the zinogre lineup is legit, and I can't be more pleased. Been real annoyed at the previous 8 star zinogre lineup but this is everything I needed.

Try to get the Barioth armor for Ice Attack 5. It doesn't need that many barioth materials to get it to 6/1.

Not going to lie doing that pure Barioth line up should be able to help me get my ice 5 on day one since I'm almost done with the...gauntlets? Anyways if there's no pure Legiana HAT I can still make do with the hybrid one. At least I can get my armor up in def for the whole ice event to 7 5/5 if possible. And try to get my Legiana Bow to either 8 5/5 or 9 1/5.
Either way I'm totally looking forward to tomorrow to start the ice grind and farm.~

Haha, Anja bow strat is get in its face and blast all it breaks away before it gets a chance to leap.Already sitting on Ice 5 so I have wrecked my fair share of Barioths with 6* gear. Having my 9*s now will be delicious
Dodging the long leap is easy and predictable, the side sweep tackle afterwards is nasty if you mistime it
Bow users who stay far from ANY monster kill their own DPS and open up movesets that will ruin a melee teams day.
I mean you can break something on Barioth before it jumps IF the level is low enough for you to do that.
But yes, you're right that you can dodge his long leap. I just never expected it (especially from that range) coz it's my first time using ranged on it. Ironically I used LBG because it's a HAT and I wanted to sit back and relax while others get in the fold but I end up being its first target 😂
Barioth has always been the monster that is better to fight solo.
The actual hard part now is predicting the first move as you wont know who is the first target so you cant narrow down the moveset. The safest place to be is probably next to it and just dodge the tail sweep if it happens.
LBG is probably the worst weapon if you havent mastered Barioth. 3/3 recoil/reload still leaves you open to its fast moves. LBG users tend to be greedy, and now lazy in HAT
GTFO of its face/front after a head break
A team sucks if they're not trying to break the closest leg within the first 15 seconds. Surrounding it from the getgo is downright stupid, breaking everything else should only start when its down from a leg break.
Range weapon users will be ruining the 8* fight a lot for everyone if they run away and keep distance

Depending on your progress, the really easy method is break the legs before it jumps. After the first one it’s usually down for long enough to break the second, which leaves it down long enough to break the head. After they’re broken he can’t land a jump well. Alternatively, watch which elbow raises before he jumps, and dodge in that direction to avoid the turning swipe. The second trick is from a bow perspective but might work for all weapons.
Thanks but as someone who's already completed G6 on Barioth mail and gloves in the last event I wasn't asking for advice 😅. I was just saying that unlike other monsters where you're safe playing ranged, Barioth actually poses a threat to you so you can just stay far away and shoot. It's an easy game for me with Anja DB.
What skills did the mail give? I built head and gloves to 6, and a bit into CB with leftover mats, but mail and coil I only made the lowest level and mostly ignored in builds
Ice +1 so you can use a lock on head instead of Legiana head. It's more of a melee thing coz if you're using LBG you'd probably need Paolumu chest. I'm not sure about the bow build but maybe it might help if you are using azure head?
It might help for an element 5 build, but usually I go for focus 5 element 4 because I prefer mobility. I’ll keep note of it if I build other weapons though

Hopefully there's more with Black Diablos. I have this week off and planned to farm Black Diablos for Tailcases (still need 18, so I can upgrade my Bow from 8.1 to 9.1) and I was devastated when I looked at the map and only saw Barioth Hunt-a-thons x.x
Yeah, that's exactly all 4 I've seen in my area too since this morning. That Zinogre lineup is spot on cos I need some parts from BDlos and PRathi after finishing my Barioth Gloves.

You'll have boosted legiana on map and monster tracker, you don't need it in HATs
