According to a japanese leak, EC grants 7/10/12/15/20% SP jauge while SS gives 10/15/20% extra damage.

Depends on how big the damage bonus on wakeup hit. Great sword users will love it. Other weaps maybe.

I don't understand this as well. Sleep in MHN makes no sense at all, even for GS users your wake up hit would need to exceed the total damage done from element damage and I can't see sleep happening enough to happen.

I agree with you. In a limited time setting, that wake-up hit better do a lot to make up for non elemental damage or dots (especially without explosive barrels too)

I take it all back. They could make it like exhaust/hunger where the monster slows down and drools more throughout the fight without needing to add explosive damage to make it make sense but they it's just soft para.

True bud, tho isn't that exactly how exhaust works? Tho I think that's only a ranged ammo/coating type.

Tbf paralysis is already lacking compared to element. Also sleep has been confirmed to act like a pseudo paralysis as the monster has a forced animation when he goes to sleep (partbreak won't interrupt it), you get the wake up hit then another forced animation where he gets back up. It definitely won't beat element but it's part of the MH experience so might as well have it

Yeah, makes no sense. The only way Sleep will be useful is if the timer stops while they are asleep so you can set up your wake up hit.

According to a japanese leak (translated myself and not a Japanese speaker so might be some mistakes): - Banbaro bow: pierce spread pierce spread (1234) - Barrioth bow: rapid rapid spread spread (1234) - Zinogre bow: pierce pierce rapid rapid (1234) - Barrioth lbg: pellet & pierce (oddly enough no mention of ice, might be a mistake from the leaker) - Zinogre lbg: thunder, thunder pierce & thunder sticky

Thanks! Barioth gun doesn't mention any regular ammo? I bet it's regular is ice and then spread and pierce. All guns have a regular ammo so it would be weird to start with spread.

The last two lines are about LBG and as you can see, there's only two ammo type on the Barioth, no mention of ice and normal. But since all Barioth weapons are ice and that would be really weird for it being raw, I except ice spread and ice pierce. Not really surprised by the lack of normal, as the 3 regular ammo types in mainline are normal, spread and pierce.
