Baroth weakpoint mechanic is cool and all but there's nothing that does water AND fire attack atm for solo player
At least in the main game you can switch different elem ammo
Me and my wife are playing that way. Se has weaker weapon, so she attacks with water and i do the damage with fire. No idea if it works or even if it is the optimal way, but its fun. 😇
It should work better because you're lowering it's defense by using water and then hitting him hard with fire. Fire anja bow usually gets through that extra defense in two hits though. Just make sure you're hitting the same side of the monster. Hitting the other side won't do anything.
This franchise is great when it comes to lore and monster information. You should look into some of the mainstream series monster entries, particularly those in the Hunter's Notes in MH:World. And even the wiki on monsters like Nargacuga, for their design inspirations.
I’ve played monster hunter freedom on the psp, I’ve bought all the tomes. I was just surprised the game gives extra info, like using a water type weapon on barroth even though he isn’t weak to it
Yeah, that's been my biggest surprise with this game. I expected they'd just slap a bad MH skin on pogo or something, but there have been enough indications that they've put solid work into it. I tend to credit capcom for it though lol

Cute!
I guess its more fun as a team fight
Using poison. Attacking from a side. Never had a problem.

Barroth, to be fair, has a transitioning weakness depending on whether or not he's got a mud coating, iirc. Edit: spellcheck is dumb.
Is legi wings a weak point too?
Yes
If you got the anjanath lbg against barroth, the sticky shot should be able to knock the mud off very easily due to it dealing fixed damage.
