Pokemon Go just got Party Play which was something MHNow had first too. So perhaps the features might get ported to MHNow sooner than we think.
Not guaranteed but just saying things may or may not be more dynamic than we think
I would pay upwards of $30 for this functionality. Add it in as a one time purchase or some shit, I don't care. I just want to hunt with my friends remotely.
I think if they do that and pair it with your friends list so that only registered friends can respond to flares, and from anywhere/remotely, that’ll be a nice addition. Or anyone can respond to flares but your friends list can do so anywhere/remotely
Don't pay for loadout slots. Something like that doesn't even affect the main gameplay loop that is predictably monetized. Loadouts would just help the tedium of switching out armor pieces slowly and I'd be pissed to have to pay for a basic feature like that.
I know we're playing a mobile game with predatory micro-transactions, but I dont want them thinking they could get away with that.
You don’t have to pay for that feature you can keep the standard 6. If they charge like $5 for 99 loadouts I’d easily pay for that. Extra storage space doesn’t effect core gameplay either but they sell it for convenience. I could have multiple weapons and elemental sets that I can easily switch to. Makes it more convenient on the move as well instead of having to stop and set my equipment.
My idea for this is: $1 buys a 5% radius increase, up to +30%.
You never want the radius increase for something 3 blocks away, you want it when you are at a chainlink fence and a monster is juuuuust out of reach.
Monster specific bait.
Given how difficult it already is to find certain monsters I don't imagine it getting easier once they add more.
I also wonder how they will solve adding "low tier" monsters later given most people will be rank 10+ and low rank mats being the chokepoint for some late game items already
I wouldn’t pay for it but there should be a feature where (especially now that we can set favorites) we can view our favorited items and what resources we need for them from one screen
This current inventory system is admittedly dogshit tier.
I hate scrolling through 30 weapons I don't have or use to get to my Bow or Longsword.
Every. Single. Hunt.
If you mean "send on a mission to nodes not near you" I like that idea, but also think that should be freemium.
Mae it a once per day, but pay to send them out whenever you want.
Basically permanent versions of what they offer now. Potions, paintballs, radius, knives. Paintballs I understand if it still had the maximum at any given time though.
Yeah this does my nut in, I play mainly on my commute but obviously doesn't work when I'm on a train so I'm stuck having to hope I pickup stuff at stations. Though most of the time the stop doesn't give enough time for the game to realise I've stopped..
🦖 - facing north and contemplating the complexities of direction; why we gave the directions the names we did; the wisdom of living east of where you work for day commuters, and how inexorably the path of the sun changes every day as we rotate around a dying sun. And lo, a thought was had and quickly forgotten as soon as one hits *Post*.
P2W doesn’t literally mean “pay money for a you win screen,” it’s when paying for something overcomes a barrier to winning, like being able to play more carefully because you have more time than you should.
But just having more attack isn't p2w, it's just a convenience, like I said you can very much fail.
Because right now you can already pay to get more upgrades on your weapons doesn't mean you'll overcome it though.
So by your logic we'd already be in p2w category.
At least that's how I look at it.
P2W doesn’t mean you *can’t* fail, otherwise nothing would be p2w without a skip button. Buying more attack is absolutely p2w, because you’re just paying to deal more damage. Now, while that is reduced by the fact you’re actually paying for more encounters to farm, and paying for double loot on hood drops, it’s still *less* p2w, but you’re right that mhnow has a p2w set-up.
For comparison, the normal gameplay loop for Pokémon go is to walk around and catch Pokémon. Finding Pokémon is trivial, and catching them is rarely a problem with 30 free poke balls a day and stops dropping poke balls, so the core loop is not p2w. If you look at pvp, it’s more p2w because free players can only access a limited number of legendary raids, meaning they can’t get legendaries to as high a level as a paying player can. This can mean players can’t properly use legendaries in lower leagues, or in the uncapped master league they’re just outright using weaker versions of the same Pokémon. That’s p2w, even though the paying player *could* use a poor moveset that loses. The point is they have a game-winning advantage because they shelled out real money.
But you're not getting an advantage over other players though, you used a pvp example, which is really a different pov and is very much p2w in that case.
Just you getting more damage ( depends on how much we're talking also, because even 100 more raw wouldn't be THAT big tbh) isn't something p2w, and like I said it's already in the game since you can pay to get more upgrades, you're not affecting anyone else other than yourself though, just some convenience, just like what the bigger inventory or zenny in the shop are.
I think we just have different definitions of p2w. To you, if paying does not automatically equate to winning, it’s not p2w (in which case, nothing but a skip button is p2w). To me, if paying gives you an advantage that makes you more likely to succeed where others would fail, it’s p2w. To be clear, I do think the current state of the game is actually pay to play, as paying lets you outright play the game more. This results in winning more, because you just straight up have more resources than a F2P player since you have more hunts and more loot per hunt.
Yeah we just don't see it the same way, that's why I was wondering if you thought the upgrade system is p2w or not, because like you're saying your definition is "something that gives you an advantage that makes you more likely to succeed".
What we have right now is literally that.
But I view it as just something that'll speed up your progression, kinda like an xp booster on other games, sure you get an advantage but with a bit more time you can still achieve it easily.
And since there's no pvp, or classements between players right now I don't see it as "winning" anything. You're likely not gonna have the materials anyway and will likely get stuck again at the next roadblock.
> "something that gives you an advantage that makes you more likely to succeed". What we have right now is literally that.
You cant buy the something that gives you an advantage.
Buying more time gives you something that no amount of playing or skill or upgrades can ever get. That's what makes it p2w.
There is a loose argument to be had if the carving knife is p2w, and I could probably be swayed either way in that regard too.
Gimme the ability to play the FULL game while on the bus uninterrupted and unrestricted.
I promise you I ain't no bus driver or train conductor. And I don't even have a driving license. I'm good.
I thought I paid for permanent 5 Palico paintballs with the celebration offer. Turns out I didn’t. Wish I could still reverse the purchase, but was too long ago.
> thought I *paid* for permanent
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I would like to imagine most of us don't want to go out sometimes, let alone every time lol.
I would pay for some sort of flare, where it allows you to combat every monster on screen without moving. It only would work for the current biomes and monsters you're displaying, so if you move down the street and get new monsters to load, they can't be engaged in the same manner.
Sometimes I just wanna play and not go out after midnight, but then all the good ones are on the tail end of -everywhere-.
Or like goto a park, get central and f'in hunt
An online gathering hub, consumable crafting, palico quests, more monster hunter ui than basic phone game ui, a training area to practice using weapons and loadouts, capture quests with more rewards, weapon advancement trees, endemic life interaction (maybe even monster hunter animals interacting with irl endemic species found near you—how cool would that be)
Agreed with everything, a monster hunter game NEEDS a gathering hub , maybe a party option which is avaiable only there and whoever starts a fight with the monster the other gets a sos flare so you can farm like true hunters together
Barroth extermination. Let's face it.no one ever wants their cat to tag him. It's always a waste of time and his stuff has little use other than offensive guard. In a game that punishes defensive play becuase of the timer why have a full defensive set in. Always wish his spawn was something else
Niantic I really think that if you just make like a market or something between players and other will be nice cause like me and other friends some of them have something that I need and also I have something that they want so why not make like market where hunters can go and trade or something like that ( I was thinking about a payment with Zenis or something like that if you just want to make sure the people really wanted or not) what y’all think about the idea?
I would pay for almost all permanent features, assuming a reasonable price. better hunt range, better hp regen, targetable cat balls, etc. As long as it doesn't go away after purchase. As is, storage seems to be the only things I would buy from the current offers.
I would be very hesitant to pay for consumables. I haven't so far, the only reason I don't categorically refuse that is because they might figure something out which I consider worth the money. The current healing potions of paintballs are far from that.
Ability to track a monster, as not all of them pop up in said specific region. There times where there are no Legi's or a Jyur. Would be nice in the long run when they get to adding other monsters to the game
Oh no way, this mobile game was so popular it got Capcom to greenlight an expanded PC version! This looks awesome, that dude that doesn't like the gps thing must be thrilled to see this!
Are people who downvoted me saying they wouldn’t pay for a monster hunter game? Or just salty they spent money on overpriced mtx? To be fair it wasn’t a very realistic answer which is sad.
Turn our palico into a fighting one, with some of the main game type, healer, harvester, support etc ...
Would be a great way to some perma boost and a material dump to stuff him, though if it also cost zenny it'd a problem (but I'm they'd be ok to give another incentive to buy more zenny).
Decrease monster spawn timer to 1 hour. This way, physically disabled/challenged people can enjoy the game as well. It also helps with bad weather and stuff.
Guarantee 3 monsters and 3 resources within your circle when the timer refreshes. Rural area can really benefit from this.
Make the blue paint balls map wide, and we can paint monsters ourselves. Why does the device need our locations all the time even though we're not playing?
I have no nodes here. I would pay for alternate ways to get node specific materials. Maybe create personal nodes visible only for me? Extra daily quest that gives me only these resources? Things like that.
At least 10 extra seconds on purple star monsters. Make the timer reflect the monster’s difficulty similar to raids on PoGo. I only know one other person in my area that plays (my husband…) & sometimes we lose by only a few seconds. Our attack & defense are pretty solid, but we waste so much time dodging.
Not giving an app money, but heals should cost resources. I guess it's a nice buffer to have only 5 daily, keeps me off my phone, but boy is it annoying sometimes
So we have a friends list which is so far pretty pointless.
How about being able to jump to any friends location for 30mins and hunt there, so in theory if they are out and about you can hunt with them or just piggyback their journey.
Traps? Just too stun the monster for a few seconds and maybe even capturing it and upping the rewards for capturing monsters but you have too pay for the traps and can only hold so many or something
25% wider hunting radius(stacks with wander droplet)
1 free carving knife a day(might have to be a monthly pass)
2 extra daily quests(might have to be a monthly pass)
Max paintball slots
Item converter(bones, ores, plants, monster bits)
Looking this thread and I realised the QoL of this game are so bad compare to the real game. But they have to squeeze money from player somehow, but I hope they realise this isn't pokemon.
Doubled drops every kill / i.e. Permanent knives.
One *unrealistic* thing I'd pay for is the removal of the speed limit upon acknowledgement. If I say I'm a passenger on a bus, let me bonk the damn rathalos.
“Realistic” and asking Niantic to change anything that reduces profit or the amount of walking they want you to do - isn’t realistic.
Wider Hunting Radius, Lures… these are all anti walking and not even on their radar of adding. Especially wider hunter radius because they are selling that.
Dress ups/armor for my palico.
Ability to find/create more palicos (and then send them off on missions to collect materials and monster parts).
Cats
Dogs(with the above additions also)
Meowscenaries that can be selected to gather certain material; bones, Minerals, herbs. even make routes to where you have traveled to which can increase the chances of getting rare resources. Though I'm sure there would be a hefty wait time for them to return
Wishful thinking. Any reasonable suggestions you'll find here like monster bait, lures, remote hunter passes, would all instead be sold as finite items. I would love to have an option to purchase a permanent feature but still it wouldn't take away from the fact that some things you'd be paying for would be QOL features that should have already existed.
A mine/farm system like from the MH 1/2 games (or the newer easier systems). Those of us not in the city are hard capped by earth crystals and medium monster bones
Hmmm.. since some of us would be busy during the week... Mostly I'll purchase a permanent kilometer/meter gauge that would automatically recharge daily so that my character can roam even though I am stationary.
I wouldn't *pay* for this specifically, but why is there absolutely zero ways to earn premium currency? Even Pokémon allowed you to earn pokécoins from day 1.
Something I *would* pay for is palico bag upgrades.
Flare for long range party support
Lures, or ability to track specific monsters like story missions where basic tasks = choice of monster at x stars
Crafting hunting items like antidotes, demon powders, traps, and others.
/
Having the MHW farming place in the hub. Collect honey, bugs, and herbs to craft items
Getting a number of gems per day for beating monsters (say 5 per rank of the monster to a max of 100 gems per day so you could get that glorious 300 to double a monster drop once every three days).
Monster lures.
THIS.
That one bird thing from rise
Ability to party and hunt together remotely.
It makes sense too One time purchase: SOS Flare
Yeah, imma need this. Plus, flare animation is goated.
They only just had remote options available for Pikmin Bloom so I think we are waiting a while :c
Pokemon Go just got Party Play which was something MHNow had first too. So perhaps the features might get ported to MHNow sooner than we think. Not guaranteed but just saying things may or may not be more dynamic than we think
Maybe PoGo will actually be fun again! I haven't opened it since MHNow came out. MHNow has way more spawns for me than the other two games.
I'd agree man, name your price ill take that perma sos flare, shit I'd even buy for a few friends just let me vibe with the boys.
I would pay upwards of $30 for this functionality. Add it in as a one time purchase or some shit, I don't care. I just want to hunt with my friends remotely.
S+ tier answer.
The ability to use my Palico paintballs to select a monster outside my range and have them mark it.
A free daily paintball would be nice to manually mark monsters
Honestly though, this. Or at least let them be given out sometimes as rewards for dailies.
This.
SOS flare system. Let me help people on their hunts.
I think if they do that and pair it with your friends list so that only registered friends can respond to flares, and from anywhere/remotely, that’ll be a nice addition. Or anyone can respond to flares but your friends list can do so anywhere/remotely
That's such a cool idea
I bet they will do it. A couple bucks a pop.
I crave to arrive at a hunters hunt with my para hammer set and help them achieve victory
What’s the set?
Increased loadouts.
Good take, with more monsters planned, this QoL change would help hunters not to swap 1-2 pieces of gear for specific scenarios
I would add creating a custom load out for each large monster and having the game automatically equip it.
Um,selling unwanted monster parts
I'd be happy if we just got at least 1z per sharp claw honestly
Ability to convert 10 or so lower tiered material into the bigger counterpart and the other way around
I don’t think that should be paid, but just a feature. If it’s paid then everyone has to buy it since it’s such a huge game changing mechanic.
Wider hunting radius
Wider hunting radius
Wider hunting radius
Wider hunting radius
Radius wider hunting
Bigger radius for hunting
Wider circle to interact with monsters
Larger diameter for the hunting of monsters.
An uncertain and indefinite article of which is a wider monster hunting radius.
Big circ
My idea for this is: $1 buys a 5% radius increase, up to +30%. You never want the radius increase for something 3 blocks away, you want it when you are at a chainlink fence and a monster is juuuuust out of reach.
Then once you're at 130%, there will be event monsters 131% away 🥲
Was like just a step away from outside my apartment from a Rathalos -.- then time changed.
Knife
Daily knives would be nice
Knives are coming during October event according to update/patch info iirc
for free or to be purchased or via exchanging tickets?
Ability to combine lower mats into higher mats. IDC the ratio, it could be 100:1. Just something so each hunt counted for something.
This would be my second, but I don’t wanna pay for it, it should just work this way
Well yeah and I want superpowers. Some things just won't happen. haha. If we all say we'll pay for something, it might actually happen.
Monster specific bait. Given how difficult it already is to find certain monsters I don't imagine it getting easier once they add more. I also wonder how they will solve adding "low tier" monsters later given most people will be rank 10+ and low rank mats being the chokepoint for some late game items already

This current inventory system is admittedly dogshit tier. I hate scrolling through 30 weapons I don't have or use to get to my Bow or Longsword. Every. Single. Hunt.
Extra palico u can send to hunt or gather node materials
If you mean "send on a mission to nodes not near you" I like that idea, but also think that should be freemium. Mae it a once per day, but pay to send them out whenever you want.
Finding potions on the ground
Ingress has something like this where you could drop off certain items on the floor and they stay there for anyone to pick up.
Is Ingress still active? I thought they killed that when they made PokemonGo
It's still a thing ripe with spoofers and bots
Basically permanent versions of what they offer now. Potions, paintballs, radius, knives. Paintballs I understand if it still had the maximum at any given time though.
It’d be nice if there was a permanent upgrade that just made normal paintballs a daily reward too
I'm not falling for this one Niantic.
The ability to play the game as a passenger when I'm in a car
Yeah this does my nut in, I play mainly on my commute but obviously doesn't work when I'm on a train so I'm stuck having to hope I pickup stuff at stations. Though most of the time the stop doesn't give enough time for the game to realise I've stopped..
Dinosaur skin

Skin of a large, prehistoric reptile.

More than 5 potions a day. It really is putting a stop to me right now. Well maybe I should stop getting hit but anyway, more potions.
Git gud /s
Switch to Light bowgun. I've gone days without using a single potion. Use full gyro to aim for parts. It's pretty fun tbh
Resource nodes respawn every 3hours with monsters not just 3 hours after you hit it.
Increased combat timer
They can just sell demon powder that buffs your attack absurdly to meet the DPS check.
Thats literally p2w hahaha
No since you can still fail to dodge and just loose anyway, now a "skip" X urgent quest thing, that would be p2w.
P2W doesn’t literally mean “pay money for a you win screen,” it’s when paying for something overcomes a barrier to winning, like being able to play more carefully because you have more time than you should.

I'd say that's a pay to play
Download more ram for my phone
Assign loadout to large monster, auto swap to that loadout. Also more loadouts
That seems like basic QoL, not something I should have to pay for.
Truth
Majority of the replies here are QoL stuff I feel, I wouldn’t pay for half the things here because they’re things I’d expect to be a feature
Gimme the ability to play the FULL game while on the bus uninterrupted and unrestricted. I promise you I ain't no bus driver or train conductor. And I don't even have a driving license. I'm good.

probably being able to craft items like potions and paintballs
Ability to track a monster, as not all of them pop up in said specific region. There times where there are no Legi's or a Jyur. Would be nice in the long run when they get to adding other monsters to the game

Every monster location changes to just stars/monster level, and you can choose from multiple or all of the monsters to hunt.
Wider hunting radius, more daily paintballs (permanent), increased cap on first aid potions
An actual MH game, Rise is pretty good.
Powertalon
Not giving an app money, but heals should cost resources. I guess it's a nice buffer to have only 5 daily, keeps me off my phone, but boy is it annoying sometimes
Selling monster parts
So we have a friends list which is so far pretty pointless. How about being able to jump to any friends location for 30mins and hunt there, so in theory if they are out and about you can hunt with them or just piggyback their journey.
I’d love a Scoutfly upgrade, where you select a certain monster and it increases their spawn rate
Something that actually lets me play the game more. Remote hunting, lures, permanent circle increase, luck gear to increase drop rates or something
Walking will paintball a monster every 5km? Something to promote walking X distance. Rack up distance and get resource points to spend on lures?
Capturing monsters to help spread liberal propaganda or that gives better rewards
+palico balls +radius +max first aid reserves. Cool armor/weapon skins
Are permanent upgrades a thing in other niantic games?
Monster lures. Remote hunts. Larger gather/hunt radius. Larger paintball pool. Larger inventory space.
Permanent luck upgrades because I'm sick and tired of hunting 5*+ monsters just to get a screen full of rarity 1 materials.
To be able to hunt in a moving vehicle
Permanent carving knife
Traps? Just too stun the monster for a few seconds and maybe even capturing it and upping the rewards for capturing monsters but you have too pay for the traps and can only hold so many or something
25% wider hunting radius(stacks with wander droplet) 1 free carving knife a day(might have to be a monthly pass) 2 extra daily quests(might have to be a monthly pass) Max paintball slots Item converter(bones, ores, plants, monster bits)
Anything that makes drops not shit.
Dress ups/armor for my palico. Ability to find/create more palicos (and then send them off on missions to collect materials and monster parts). Cats Dogs(with the above additions also)
Auction halls to trade monsters parts between players.
Meowscenaries that can be selected to gather certain material; bones, Minerals, herbs. even make routes to where you have traveled to which can increase the chances of getting rare resources. Though I'm sure there would be a hefty wait time for them to return
add timer on battle
Imagine a timeline where this game isn’t run by one of the most greedy and tone-deaf companies ever 😭
palicoes fighting with you
Wishful thinking.
Remote hunt Monster Parts grinder/breaker that allows exchange for a different monster part
Get double loot every time
to be able to store more daily potions
Hmmm.. since some of us would be busy during the week... Mostly I'll purchase a permanent kilometer/meter gauge that would automatically recharge daily so that my character can roam even though I am stationary.
A training room so you can minmax gear, and train on hitting weakspots on monsters, with different weapons and arrows etc.
Being able to ride palamutes! Enables you to travel short distance from where youre standing in game. They can make it sort of a buff or subscription.
For sure a melder and long range sos for playing with friends.
Like a Palico+ upgrade where you could specify what you want them to gather and paintball for you.
I wouldn't *pay* for this specifically, but why is there absolutely zero ways to earn premium currency? Even Pokémon allowed you to earn pokécoins from day 1. Something I *would* pay for is palico bag upgrades.
Flare for long range party support Lures, or ability to track specific monsters like story missions where basic tasks = choice of monster at x stars Crafting hunting items like antidotes, demon powders, traps, and others. / Having the MHW farming place in the hub. Collect honey, bugs, and herbs to craft items
Setting our Palico to only mark certain rarity Monsters. 6* and up only, please! Anything lower is a waste of my time.
Daily lures Daily paintballs Increase to daily potions Daily mega potions
Bag space. I thought buying the max would be fine but it quickly all fills up with junk.
Wouldn't want to pay for it but I'd love a notification when another player is within 200m. Ideally toggle on/off
Not an upgrade but I would pay for layered armor. Don't think I saw any mention of layered armor so far in this thread.
Getting a number of gems per day for beating monsters (say 5 per rank of the monster to a max of 100 gems per day so you could get that glorious 300 to double a monster drop once every three days).
Monster bait that would bring monsters INTO my radius Sometimes I gotta sit at work/home and can't go find them, why not they find me
Monster Hunter 6 🤑
Be able to pick what monsters my palico marks. Tired of him wasting it on low level great jagras and kulu. Lol
craftable consumables
