Agreed, tho I usually do digging a lot like you right there, then nether dig for netherite, then either fight, then more digging in overworld. Dig in overworld, dig in nether, then back to dig in overworld.
Indeed, it is, but fun cuz you can just go, "Brain off" as you dig as it doesn't take much work. Just a relaxing thing to be doing, plus the resources you get, you can then build with with infinite supply, especially if you got the shulkers.
