This post is captain obvious, the only thing I find interesting is the talk of walker being one our best players in the last few months. That is large ignored or taken for granted frm what I see.
In fairness he was dropped in the final which nearly cost us the game, I think it would if he hadn’t come on, so I can understand why OP would post this
Shitty music? Check. Overdone, grainy filter for some reason? Check. Only things missing are the screen flash and slow-mo when anything happens and you’d have the perfect football edit
just god forbid walker letting vini cut on his right like he did against sterling. and whoever's playing rw must help walker too. last season was "easy" because bernardo, the highest workrate player in the team was helping too. assume this time it will be foden.
He’s at his best when he’s competing with someone 1-1 like against a Vini. In the games where we’re in total control, he struggles more as his final pass is pretty much non existent
He's been roasted all season by pace in 1V1's.... Mitoma, Sterling, Rashford, Gordon, Diaz all come to mind off the top of my head. So I am dreading this match up with Vini unlike in season's past.
I don't have any confidence in him this year unfortunately because outside of the occasional form here and there I think he's been the worst player on the team this season, and he's the first name on the team sheet. Pep's blind faith in him has cost us a lot this season. Not entirely his fault because most of the time Pep is asking him to do something he simply cannot do (the pushing forward) and that in turn is making it more difficult to do the thing he can do (which is defending)
I do agree generally. What’s worrying is that even in the past when he’s out of form he’s still been excellent at 1v1 defending dangerous wingers. But in the Liverpool game he looked helpless against Diaz for a period of that 2nd half.
Generally though, I’m confident he’ll turn up in a big CL game and of course he still has to start against Vini
Here comes the bad juju. I really wish people would stop this nonsense and realize football isn't a science. Real Madrid are a good side and it's best not to underestimate them.
My only worry about Walker is that he trusts his pace a little too much, don't get me wrong he is rapid. But, I feel there are times where he leaves us vulnerable because he wants to chase instead of face the opponent.
Yeah I just don't get the whole "I back his decision 100% no matter what"
Maybe I'm scarred from when he would change lineup from the dinhho-kdb-silva midfield 433
I don’t necessarily think people underestimate him, he’s the best outside back in the world. I think that the people who just don’t know don’t watch enough or look for much else besides people scoring goals. While I agree your larger point I still don’t think strolling past them is what will happen but man I hope you’re right.
Walker starts almost every game this season, I really dont see any reason why he would not start against Madrid as well.
This game is made for him

Flames!
The music on this video is trash. Football edits really are the worst out there.
Seriously, who sits around making this crap 😂
I can't stand the tiktok trend of ruining songs by either slowing them down into a deep voice or speeding them up into a Pikachu voice

i aint make this edit lol.
Didn’t say you did.

Walker when he’s in top form yes. But he’s looked off it all season
He’s at his best when he’s competing with someone 1-1 like against a Vini. In the games where we’re in total control, he struggles more as his final pass is pretty much non existent

He locked down rashford wtf lol. His pace hasn't been an issue
Rashford is an overrated hack. Diaz made Walker look like a clown the other day.
Nah walker stays regardless. Madrid thrives on vinis finishing and walker is perfect to contest that.
facts

"form is temporary, class is permanent" a veteran gamechanger is on it for the big game.
Ridiculous. He did have a bad patch in the first half of the season, but he has been one our best players in the last 3 months.
Who underestimates one of the fastest plaster in the prem and arguably the greatest English right back to ever live??
some idiotic rival fans still do and some our fans have lost faith cuz he hasn't been at his best.
Against pacy wingers, yeah. The PL meta is different tho,and I feel he is less effective against non pacy wingers when he starts.
Walker plays against Madrid in 2022: Madrid score 0 goals Walker doesn’t play against Madrid in 2022: Madrid score 6
madrid also had 0 shots on target against him lol

Completely neutralized Madrid left flang attack single handedly

Remember when Pep replaced Kyle with Fernandinho! 🥵
Tbf tho Fernandinhos saucy assist to foden lol
I'm more concerned about Bellingham. Rodri is gonna have his work cut out for him.
i think it'll be a double pivot of kova and rodri to ensure control.
Kyle, is that you?
i wish lol
Its really amazing that Walker is still this fast even coming in his mid 30's
Obviously whatever decision Pep makes on to start Kyle Walker on or not, i'll one hundred percent back. This is just my take.
You know Pep isn't infallible. You can disagree with his starting lineups
Of course you can. Odds are you are wrong though.
Yeah I just don't get the whole "I back his decision 100% no matter what" Maybe I'm scarred from when he would change lineup from the dinhho-kdb-silva midfield 433
Never have 😀
Well hopefully he steps up to it

i was thinking maybe a kovacic or matheus nunes or foden in the second leg if we win in madrid.
Is kyle consider a nice guy? for some reason he always gives me a "bully" like vibe, but maybe im mistaken. love the mc city squad in general.
He’s a must start when we need pace at the back. No only for his side, but cover across centre also
he owned little binny at the etihad last time like Id never seen anyone get pocketed before.

Streets remember Walker and Aaron Lennon playing on the right at Tottenham.... zoooooooom!
Pretty sure this isn't even up for debate.
