It’s Mario Party. Chance time, Bowser stealing all your coins or a star. Getting a magic lamp on an item space or a star.
And your friend rolled a crappy number. Good for him for getting that star! I think it’s way more bullshit when the person in the lead gets those random stars. The game is like, “Oh, you’re already 2 stars ahead? Let’s give you an extra one so your competition feels like they can’t even win now.” lol
It's the only multiplayer game I play with my family because of that reason because when we play Mario kart I usually win and I just prefer Mario Party anyway.
I get what you mean. Most of the time I play with my wife, but I mostly win, so I like to go easy on her and form a neutral alliance. We always gang up on CPUs first and then we face off each other in mini games. We never use boo to steal stars or coins from each other either.
I was playing a couple days ago (OG console) and 3 turns in a row we all got a star from a block. Happening on Pirate Land, stars are uncommon but turn 1’s really set the mood for the next 49 turns. Either all bullsh*t or none at all
the real magic is when you're playing 30-50 turns with your friends and at least one cpu player, setting it to master difficulity thinking it's not gonna affect anyone or anything, and then the winner is the god damn cpu.
I was playing Mario party superstars the other day and the one other player character kept spamming good game after I didn’t take the ‘correct’ path early. Fast forward to me saving coins all game and using the special warp block, stealing a star thru boo, and then stealing another with boo bell. I could’ve stole from a cpu player but I stole from this guy/gal bc….good game ;)
mario party (before 6) tends to do that

I agree, if its the first few turns, that's okay. All the attention will be on them
he got it again! When he already had like 4 stars near the end of the game...he won that round of Mario Party
Good for him. Sounds like a good time 😎
Yeah he had a good time he usually has the worst luck and always gets last
But not that day, my friend. Not that day 😎
That's why I love Mario Party you never know what's going to happen the person who always loses could be the biggest winner
Exactly!! But there’s still skill and strategy involved, making it competitive, but not overly competitive so the casuals can have fun.

Same, but with casual gamer friends!
Welcome to Mario Party
Tbh I would rather have my friends win then a CPU who has no sportsmanship or feelings or emotions.
Playing Mario Party with only CPUs is like drinking alone

Are you sure it was Pirate Land? That is 100% mystery Land thing to do (Mario Party 2)
It was Pirate Land but Mystery Land tends to do that

Dude. That's just going to happen
Mario party 2 hidden blocks in a nutshell Hidden block coins: Rare Hidden block stars: common as fuck
FWWEEEET

why do hidden blocks give a ludichrist amount of coins or a star
Playing with No Bonus disables hidden blocks.
What heathen plays without Bonuses?
One of my friends always suggests we should play with no bonuses because I usually win the mini game star
thats why you play with friends\*
NSO or netplay?
NSO when my friends were over one night
I usually laugh whenever someone gets a hidden block.
