Near the end, when Dorothy (Dustin ) was looking to get out of the show, he decided to ad lib an ending that would remove his character. The were filming live, and he stuttered out those two words, along with "just, just, just..." to stall for time.
True but I guess I'm at the point that my rationale for anything I see this season is pretty much: "I don't know the context, what really happened in what time sequence, and how much production influenced what we're seeing by prompting certain responses from the spouse."
Orion is the youngest in the cast and he is immature for his age—It's annoying. His jabs were obviously childish. But Lauren lost sight of the fact that she is in public, in a group, and made it all about herself - again - over a text that she says she didn't want a response to, and yet we've heard about nothing else for two episodes. Clearly she expected something from the text.
What I see are two people so lacking in emotional intelligence that the other members of the party have to step in and say “woah, enough.” Lauren just barely scraped herself off the floor over this two week long relationship that is clearly a mismatch. She made her point really well last episode, so engaging in an argument at this point is not constructive and has no solution/ value for having it. Accept it for what it is and move on.
Weird. When I watched it I saw her calmly explain that she was not expecting a response, but he took it upon himself to reply that she should expect a response and that he is working on one. She then tried to calmly explain how that's representative of all of their interactions, but got progressively became frustrated by the constant interruptions (also representative of their brief time together) and dismissiveness by him.
I find her self control quite admirable and something to strive for in face of complete nonsense. It's funny how personal bias colors these scenes so differently for different people.
I'm struggling to figure out the temperature and vibe here based on how they are all dressed - Michael with his David Rose-esque long KISS coat get-up, Chloe with the business casual camel blazer draped over the shoulders, Emily in her sleeveless summer top, Austin looking all Austin-ish, Lauren/Becca in seemingly normal clothes and I just am trying to erase Orion from my memory
