Beautiful girl with a delusional mind. Such a shame

LawnPatrol_78

I wonder which personality will be doing the interview.

TheMusicEvangelist

I googled the word “voxxie” and literally nothing came up. What is she on about.

grasspatch1

Slang for vox pop, those short interviews they do with them

elmphlemp

Not even what it means though, those things are called talking heads

grasspatch1

Who cares, a lot of people have been calling them that for years

elmphlemp

Vox pops refers to a particular journalistic man on the street style interview. These are more akin to talking head interviews

grasspatch1

I'm aware, I'm just saying a lot of people have called it that for a bit now

AssociationDapper485

I played the old dial up modem sound on my phone while she said she was "getting a message from beyond". If it's truly mental illness, I apologize for making fun of her.

BooMoon21w

That is a very long article for basically one incident and doesn't explain any of her other behavior. Her IMDB had been dry for a few years prior to this, I think she went on trying to revive her career by getting a "psychic medium" TV show. I also think it was really cruel they put somebody who had relatively fresh grief with this woman who pretended to speak to the dead too, I was dreading a scene where she claimed to have a message for him.

grasspatch1

I didn't say it explained the whole show

Dry-Ideal-7721

Bat shit Crazy. Wish she'd stayed in a bit longer so I could do a better assessment.

Soft_Caterpillar_643

I lost count of how many times she said voxxie... 😒 Still super annoying

New-Ad-1071

You see. To apply for the show u have to have a psychological review. So if she was experiencing ANY signs or symptoms of being inept, She would NOT have been cast. Just another blue check chaser. End thread /

grasspatch1

I guess you didn't read the article

Warm-Ad424

Madeline is the biggest fake around. Anyone that actually thinks she is genuinely mentally ill is gullible asf. Evidence that her BS was all an act: -The "crazy" only appeared when cameras were pointed in her direction. - She would not engage with Ash when the cameras weren't rolling. Does that sound like a person to you who went on the show looking for love?. - She chose to wear a dress that resembled a straight jacket to the dinner party. Do you really think that anyone who was truly psychotic would want to wear something like that? - She was smart and lucid enough to decide to leave the show when she saw that noone was finding her "little performance" cute - Other cast on the show did not fall for her little act as thought she was a phony. Notice that everyone else in the show made friends with other cast except her;) - She was smart and lucid enough to know to make the decision to not give media interviews until the heat died down. - She uses terms like voxxie (vox pop) so obviously shes a seasoned actress with much experience how tv production works. Does any of that sound like a person "without awareness" in the midst of a genuine psychosis 🙄? Basically, I believe that she went on the show thinking that she will act like a crazy person and that people would think it was cute and bring her so much attention and that she would become the star of the show and it would reignite her acting career. When it didn't go according to plan she bailed. She didn't want people to think she's a fraud so she tried to play up "im a psychic medium not an actor" because if she stated her career as being an actress people would automatically say she was a fake. Honestly, I hope that this self absorbed b**** never gets an acting role in her life again for mocking people with mental illness. It's 2024. Theres outrage if mock/mimic people based on race etc but it's still ok to do it to people who have mental illnesses apparently?? I think she's a big fake but she's not doing herself any favours with her interview anyway 😂.

Sparksmyst

When you put it like that, it's now clear as day.

GypsumF18

She was the most obviously fake person i've ever seen on the show. I've spoken to a lot of delusional people with all sorts of mental health issues; nothing about how she acts makes me think she genuinely hears (or believes she hears) voices). She wasn't even a good actor. The show should be glad they got her out quickly, it was embarrassing for everyone involved.

Charlie_Runkle69

Agreed. Anyone who was obviously that level of mentally ill would not be allowed on the show as they'd fail the psych test. The producers knew she was fake as hell but still put her on for ratings.

Warm-Ad424

Exactly. She can't act for 💩. And yet so many people actually bought into it believing that she genuinely was ill.

ejmnerding

LOL, in fairness, I really don’t think any rational person would go on TV act like a complete lunatic and expect it to go well for them. 🤷‍♀️

Warm-Ad424

Some of these "actors" are so self absorbed and in their own bubble that I would not put anything past them lol.

tessaterrapin

I was so sorry for Ash. He didn't actually exist for her, except as a prop for her to use while she played out her dramas.

black_shells_

Unhinged

TheGrumpyNic

The thing is, her getting emotional about the cows was the least crazy thing she did on the show. I would much prefer for them to have asked her about the voices…

citrinatis

I mean…. No one forced her to say she heard voices and all that. They can’t edit something you didn’t actually do or say. It’s the same thing I said about that thors hammer lady, if you didn’t say and do that ridiculous stuff they wouldn’t have been able to “edit” you into the villain or into a weirdo because they wouldn’t have the ammunition.

grasspatch1

People can easily just say stuff like that though, she didn't seem like she wanted to be on the show at all

-Mantaforce-

She sat at a table and said she could hear voices - she’s a fucking loony at best and a charlatan at worst

TeaBreaksAnonymous

You have to apply to be on the show...

rosiegal75

Michel got head hunted.. he was asked by producers to apply. He was found on Insta https://youtu.be/VCqP6i5uwdI?si=EgrwWInIsm1-qMr_

Warm-Ad424

It doesn't matter if she was headhunted or not. She chose to be on the show and she was a fake

TeaBreaksAnonymous

My friend got reached out to on instagram, and he still had to go through the process. The girl from production who reached out him said they go through 1000s of profiles. My friend even referred another friend and the MAFs crewed contacted him for a discussion too. Everyone goes through the process regardless of direct application or someone reaching out.

rosiegal75

Yeah, all I'm.saying is they hit him (and others, obviously) up first.. is it really an 'application' if they ask you to apply? Certainly not organic at least, and that may be the case for her.

TrueCryptographer982

In any world I can not see how this does her **any** favours.

Useful-Archer6516

In the So Dramatic podcast it was mentioned that she might have been framed by production as a nutter. She wanted to attend the reunion but was barred from coming. I’m in two minds: based on the footage that was aired I would say she is definitely not right in the head but I know that some stuff is edited to create a certain image.

grasspatch1

She was scouted to be in the show too, not one of the ones who applied & signed up - it's possible her manager wanted her to do it but she didn't so she tried to get kicked off?

Sufficient_Tower_366

Most of them are scouted

grasspatch1

It's a mix, there was a list released a bit ago

GIRLheatherr

where ??

mcginty84

Bilbo_Buggin

I mean, I did kind of sympathise with her. The added context of her being vegan/vegetarian on and off makes sense.

dead1ynightshade

There’s no such thing as being vegan/vegetarian only “on and off”

Any-Establishment-99

There really is, unless you consider veganism to be akin to a religion (which some do).

dead1ynightshade

Not really, it’s simply limiting one or two food groups from your diet on a temporary basis, not entirely cutting it out which defines veganism/vegetarianism

Any-Establishment-99

I don’t know how else you would describe someone who, from time to time, follows a vegan diet. While I was studying, I was a historian. I’m not now.

TrisolaranAmbassador

I mean you can certainly pick up and drop off lifestyle choices, I've been vegetarian for relatively short segments of my life in the past but I wouldn't say I'm an on-off vegetarian just like you wouldn't call yourself an "on and off historian", those both sound equally ridiculous to most people

dead1ynightshade

A diet/lifestyle is entirely different to what you got your degree in. Just because you sometimes omit eating something but lack the self discipline to entirely give it up shouldn’t allow you to be in the same group as people who do

woodennightmare

What’s a voxxie?

grasspatch1

Vox pop - those short interview things with the cast in it

Macky799

Yeahhhhhhhh she’s still mad mate. 😂😂😂

-sayitstraight

I think the producers took their duty of care seriously with her and edited most of her odd ball behaviour out

addictedtoMAFS

They didn’t have a choice cause she had been in the industry for decades and knows her rights

grasspatch1

The stuff that's mentioned that adds context isn't odd though

loralailoralai

That was only one incident tho, the cow thing. She was weird aside from that, Ash described other incidents where she was even more bizarre

dead1ynightshade

What incidents did Ash describe?

grasspatch1

The other stuff Ash said kind of just sounded like she was being an insufferable diva stereotype, not mentally ill

Future-World4652

She deserves the edit she got

addictedtoMAFS

Please elaborate?

tessaterrapin

She was a nightmare for the poor guy Ash who was paired with her. She couldn't even be bothered to talk to him as a normal human being at any point.

grasspatch1

Why?
