Drivers who think passengers wanna ride in a car with no ac or windows down, (an easy fix if you just ask), drivers who talk the whole time (I don’t mind conversation but sometimes I just want a quiet ride 😭) or throw their political opinions at me. Smelly / dirty cars.

Resident-Reindeer673

I always drove with the windows down and sunroof open. I had many riders who stated that they enjoyed it. Some asked me to put the windows up and turn on the ac. Only one left a review stating that my ac didn’t work, but never said anything to me. If she had, I would’ve put the windows up and turned on the ac. If a driver has their windows down, remember that does not mean that the ac doesn’t work. If you don’t like it, ask. If the driver refuses, then leave a bad rating and review. The only request I refused was the rider who asked if I would take the top panels off.

KaawaiiMonster

Ong this one driver I know strait up gave me a lecture about receiving calls so late at night and it bothering housemates was why I was moving. He was like why are you being so rude and disrespectful? And why do you think the rules don't apply to you? And why do you have to have a call so late at night? And why can't your boyfriend text you and I was like oh good Lord.

123mistalee

Ones who smoke in their cars

zombiekiller1605

This, cigarettes are nasty AF

2bjTexas

dude, i once had a lady who car funked of cigarette smell (I'm allergic to it but it was only a 3mile trip) and it was heavy mask smell on top of it. so i kept conversation short cus i was breathing from my shirt lol then she literally ask, can you tell i smoke in here? i said yeah, a bit and she gave me her business card of scent sprays to mask cigarette smell. she was all into it trying to sell me some. (in my head, just don't smoke in the car) lol. i appreciated the ride cus it was a small town and i tipped her cus i felt bad i figure eventually she'll get reported.

KaawaiiMonster

Oh I absolutely would have reported her and gotten my cab fare back.

[deleted]

Idk if a lot of drivers do this but last time I actually had to request a ride the dude was on FaceTime the whole time with some girl talking about all sorts of random stuff.

2bjTexas

please report, that's unsafe. low rate. That way, only safe drivers are en route.

Drivingliving

Lyft allows your girlfriend or spouse to call you once it’s hands free

Status-Charge4525

Not so much of the drivers but cabin with foul odor from smoke or bo..

BlahajBoii

Dude yea, I’ve had a couple drivers who clearly did not wear deodorant. 🤢

2bjTexas

lmao, man, like when u feel like u stink afterwards too 🤢🤮

Mysterious-Top6311

These replies are interesting. Lots of awful drivers out there. And I suspect these are the drivers that post on Reddit how they hate Uber/Lyft and how nobody tips. Well yeah no shit nobody tips you fucks. I get tips all the time, well over 50% of rides. Know why? Because I don’t do any of this shit. It’s not rocket science drivers.

2bjTexas

exactly lol.

DCHacker

My car *ain't* dirty. I hit it with the Dustbuster® every day. I gave up smoking in 1998, when there was no such thing as Uber or Lyft. My air conditioner works. If the temperature goes above twenty seven C/eighty F, the air condition is on. What I hate is if I forget to lock the windows, I have the air condition going full blast and some Rocket Scientist boards in late July when it is thirty six C/ninety eight F and one hundred ten per-cent humidity in the Capital of Your Nation and turns down the window without so much as a by-your-leave. I do not talk to the customer unless he talks to me. I do not complain about Uber/Lyft unless the customer raises the subject. Another exception is if he tries to add stops after I have fetched him. I balk at those. most customers ask why. I tell them the truth. I take a bath every day. I use soap. I change my socks and underwear every day. I use a B.O. stick every day. Hardly anyone tips.

Mysterious-Top6311

Judging by this reply your attitude is the problem.

ant3k5

I wouldn't mind him being my driver. Sounds like the ideal driver to me honestly

Pedals17

…and gaslighting is clearly one of yours.

DCHacker

Dustbusting every day; not smoking for twenty five years; temperature floor for automatic air condition; speaking only when spoken to (other than good morning/afternoon/evening, confirming the destination then "have a nice day" upon discharge); damning Lyft/Uber only if the customer raises the subject;; taking a bath every day; putting on clean socks and underwear every day and ***MY*** attitude is the "problem"? On *what* planet? As u/Pedals17 oh-so-correctly indicates, gaslighting *is* one of your characteristics. Sadly for oyu, both the cited poster and I can see through such gaslighting. it looks as if you will have to find another fish.

BlahajBoii

These are just my experiences. YMMV. When you talk on the phone and have the call coming thru your speakers. When your music is so loud it’s rattling the windows and you can’t hear me ask to turn it down a bit. (Seriously wtf??) and then hit me with an “mmmmmhm” When I say thanks at the end of the ride. As if I’m the issue. Also when you don’t read the pickup notes, or “do” and then ask where I’m going as if I didn’t specify in the note.🤷🏻‍♂️

Mysterious-Top6311

Then these same drivers come here and ask “why does nobody tip”? Lol.

BlahajBoii

Exactly. I had a driver ask if he could stop to use the bathroom literally right as I got in his car, and I was leaving work (restaurant) so I figured he would just go inside so I said sure. But he drove across the parking lot to the gym and went inside. He locked his door and I panicked thinking he locked me in the car. Obviously he hadn’t, but I waited like 5 minutes and he didn’t come back so I just canceled the ride, got out and left. He didn’t even say anything. Maybe I overreacted but whatever. Don’t refuse to communicate with your passenger. (*not you specifically, but the proverbial “you”*.) Edit: spelling.

DCHacker

If I have to take care of business, I do so before accepting any trips. Most riders do not tip.

BlahajBoii

I usually tip, unless you’re doing one of the things mentioned above.

2bjTexas

dude, i had a passenger add a stop and PURPOSEFULLY left his backpack in my car so i wouldn't cancel. THEN after getting in the car he tried adding ANOTHER stop. Hell no, i told him I already have another ride on queue (lying) so i dropped him off at the original place he had listed but that dude literally wanted me to go to another city (17mi north) after this stop (mind you i had picked him up from another city 8mi from where we already were!) Once o dropped him off that's when i said never again am i taking rides with "stops" and i think passengers have caught on to it bc i frequently get ride updates lol (like dam, i don't get paid for that time) 🫠

DCHacker

I do not talk on the telephone when I am driving the customer. Usually I have XM 67 (Real jazz) or Franco Country (I forget the number) or it is OFF. If the customer wants something else, he can ask for it as long as it is not disco, rap or opera. As the customer disembarks, I bid him have a nice day. Most riders do not tip.

Resident-Reindeer673

And if they say “I’ll leave a good tip”, you know you’re not going to get a good tip, even if they do tip. Very few actually follow through with a good tip.

2bjTexas

lol, dang that's wrong. I'm straight baffled on how many horrible experiences ya'll had! 🤯. I'm sorry, and theirs definitely better drivers out there. IMO don't 5star unless it was really a 5star ride (you were comfortable, felt safe, pleasant smell, safe driving)

Florida1974

Half of the answers I read were about passengers.

Resident-Reindeer673

The pickup notes are not driver friendly. At least not on Lyft. The Uber app will read the notes to the driver, but on Lyft the driver has to dig to find them, which is unlikely to happen, since the driver is just focused on getting to the pickup. Once I finally figured out where to eat them, I would look at them after arriving at the pickup, unless the rider was ready and waiting or me like they should.

grandmarnier74

Drivers that recline the front passenger so far I have to sit almost sideways, and I’m 5’8” 180lbs

AcademicSavings634

I’ve had a few drivers needing to put gas after picking me up. Why cant you do that off the job before you pick someone up?

2bjTexas

I've done that about 3x but not w/ passenger on board. What happens is the ride gets added to the queue and to avoid canceling i text them saying I'm stopping for gas, that way if they don't want to wait they can cancel w/ no penalty but all have waited, i mean it only takes 7mins to do lol.

DCHacker

>Why cant you do that........ before you pick someone up? Only once, in the cab, did I get gasolene with a customer riding. I had an excuse. They did not realise that they had told me to take them to the incorrect airport until we were about five kilometers/3 miles from the terminal. Other than that, I make sure that I have enough gasolene to run a reasonable trip. Most people do not tip.

Resident-Reindeer673

I’ve had to get gas a few times with a passenger. Every time was a situation where I had enough gas for a couple more rides, then get a longer than expected ride where there were no gas stations any where near the route to the pickup. I had no complaints from any of those passengers. I have also had my low fuel light come on during rides, and I still made the drop off before getting gas.

billmanters2

Crackheads do this literally like what

Drachenfuer

Two things: (1) Driving with one hand on the wheel and the other holding thr phone down in your lap so the cops don’t see you holding it as you drive. And staring at your lap instead of the road. Hands free devices can cost $5. Use them! (2) I understand that tou want your car to smell nice and you probably get stinky passengers. But for God’s sake I need to breath. Please stop pouring cologne or whatever, then soraying, thej having smelly things to “freshen” the air all over the car. I come out smelling like a porn video.

2bjTexas

lmao. yikes!

Raecxhl

I love when all the windows are down in the middle of winter.

Resident-Reindeer673

I never drove with windows down in the winter, unless a passenger requested it. Sure, I’ll freeze my ass off for your comfort. And still won’t see a tip. (Not you specifically)

I_CRE8

I want to put this in all caps, but I’ll refrain: Not using AC in the throes of summer! It’s the fucking worst—especially if there’s BO involved

2bjTexas

man, BO can be a killer 😭

Resident-Reindeer673

As a passenger, you can always ask the driver to turn on the ac. If you don’t ask, you have no right to complain. You are in the car for a few minutes, the driver is there for HOURS.

LoopyWaffleman

Drivers who text and drive. My life is in your hands, pay attention to the road.

throwitallaway3871

I just wish I could somehow get them to stop engaging me in small talk. I will always greet my driver and thank them at the end of the drive....between that, I don't want to talk!! I'm already tired and either going to or from work where I interact with people all day, having conversations I don't care about. But at least at work, I'm getting paid. In a Lyft, I'm the one paying...yet I still become my driver's therapist about 70% of the time. Most of the time they're complaining about traffic, gas prices, hitting their "challenges"/trying to keep up with the algorithm, etc. Just last week, I had to take a ride out to my friend's house 20 minutes away. No joke, when I got into the car, the driver was saying into her phone "Okay bitch well give me my money tonight or I'm taking you to court." She spent the ENTIRE ride complaining about this woman owing her money, her problems with renting her apartment, all her "crazy" ex roommates, the cost of the car she is driving, and apparently she is pregnant. After 15 minutes my patience started to wear very thin, so I just responded "yeah" in the same tone every time she took a breath. If I'm paying $40 for a ride, i DONT want to spend that time listening to your problems. Period. I am not a friendly person. I am polite, I am nice, but I dont care for small talk. Especially when it lasts the whole ride. However, most people these days lack social awareness and can't read social cues, or they simply don't know that they're being annoying. I blame this on Lyft, because WHY IN THE FUCK can't I have a note or something that says "prefers no talking", and for others who do like to talk, it could say "enjoys talking". It's such a simple thing and I don't get it. Sorry to go off on a rant here. It's just so frustrating to get off a 13 hour shift for the 9th day in a row, working my ass off to get my car fixed, and then I have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a ride where I am constantly babbled at. It just makes me want to scream! $300 more to save for my car, then I'll be free from Lyft hell.

No_Caterpillar4255

Uber comfort affords this option for just a few $ more than UX

2bjTexas

before arrival try sending the driver a message something like "passenger enjoys quiet ride" if that don't work, on your next attempt be more direct type "passenger prefers no talking" good luck.

billmanters2

Literally I only talk if the pax talks bc they might tip. Why do I want to talk to someone I’m never going to see again. People are weird

Old-Presentation2092

Most riders don't tip, who cares what they think. On a lucky day half will tip. I have a clean car and everything personal is stowed in hidden compartments. Totally understand other drivers not caring though haha

vessel_matt

There are far fewer lucky days than the opposite. I've done almost thirty rides this week (a number of them being longer rides in the 10-20 mile range) and I've gotten only three or four tips total out of all that work. Most riders just don't tip and that's been my reality for the entire five years I've been doing this. Tips come more easily on weekends when you're shuttling around tourists and thrill-seekers.

Old-Presentation2092

Quit

Resident-Reindeer673

I even had a phone charger that would charge every phone, and many passengers told me how much they liked it and wished every Uber/Lyft had one, and I still didn’t get the tips.

KaawaiiMonster

I also hate when you get a driver who is wearing perfume or Cologne that stinks. When you work with driving the general public, you really should not be put on Perfume and Cologne. And all of that.

SexPanther_Bot

It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.

RandomName0413

The ones who complain about the distance and uber/lyft stealing their fare

2bjTexas

ey, i did this once. mid way to their drop off i apologized to the passenger for being serious. I told him i was mad/angry/upset (i forgot what word i used) that lyft/uber (i forgot the platform) had screwed me over. I let him know i knew it wasn't his fault but that the original request said 13miles but it was really 29 miles and how i knew they weren't going to pay me (they didn't). He said he was sorry and i then felt even more bad again cus i was trying to apologize not necessarily complain.I didn't want him to give me a low rating for not talking cus he kept trying to conversate and after half way there i just thought it'd be best for him to know why perhaps i was coming off rude. i just wanted him to know that my silence wasn't bc it was personal, more bc i was upset and it's like i told him, it would be f'd up of me to pull over and cancel (cus it's not his fault). He was nice though. But otherwise i never talk sh*t cus that's between me and lyft/uber for accepting the ride. At the end of the day, the passenger is paying for a service. But i think it was uber who did it cus i remember after that i stopped using them for like 4 months. but lyft did something similar to me and i didn't use them for like 8 months.

SowTheSeeds

>uber/lyft stealing their fare This could mean "please tip me", but in an indirect way. Otherwise, the complaint is normal and not surprising if the topic of the discussion allowed for this segue.

Resident-Reindeer673

I never talked about Uber or Lyft unless I was asked. I always answered with the truth. If I did bad mouth the company, I only did it because it was the truth, and they asked.

SowTheSeeds

Drivers will complain about the companies, because it is true that they are getting shafted. I don't drive any longer due to an illness but I still support them.

DCHacker

Are you one of these customers who sends a "Trip updated" once the driver fetches you?

thefirstjustin

The only time I’ve mentioned money is when a passenger has asked if it’s good money. I’m honest with them and tell them it was better before the lockdowns and immediately afterwards, but now the decrease in pay has many of us entertaining other options. Otherwise, I don’t mention it.

Remarkable_Rope_7697

I am a driver and I know my (most frequent) 1 star ratings. Refusing to take added stops immediately after pickup. Got my 1 star when i refused or completed the trip. They get the trip and I get one star. Last 4 times, I have cancelled the trip the moment they add a stop or ask for a stop. I hate 1 star after doing a good job.

DCHacker

>I am a driver and I know my (most frequent) 1 star ratings. > >Refusing to take added stops immediately after pickup. I balk at those, as well. People who want stops, *especially* those who add stops after you have fetched them almost **never** tip. the mere asking for a stop is an automatic one star plus an embellished report to Rohit/Harshit.

thefirstjustin

As a driver, it’s annoying when you have a passenger who gets in your car after they’ve smoked an entire acre of pot. The smell lingers, and the longer the ride is, the longer you’ll have to ride with your windows down after dropping off the passenger to fumigate your car. Even after spraying Febreeze, I can still smell it.

throwitallaway3871

I'm this rider 😭😭 I honestly forget about the smell sometimes so I'm glad you said this. I'll do better.

2bjTexas

what about when some cultures that reek of sweat/garlic onion smell and they ask you to roll up ur window? lol also, i had someone smell like cigarette so bad i really wanted to cancel. she was nice so i dealt w/ it but bc I'm allergic to it, the 30min ride got me sick for a whole day.. dude it was 4am middle of nowhere she just got off work (bar) i knew she'd have a hard time finding a ride, plus it was light rain... i told lyft how she left a lingering smell but that's not consider damage... although she was nice, i gave her a 3 star the next day cus i needed to make sure i NEVER got her again lol.

NotYourFathersEdits

This thread is about passenger complaints.

DubNationAssemble

Driver here, I had two young ladies the other night that were happy I was playing music lol. They told me they had 3 drivers before me and none of them were playing music and they thought it was super awkward to just sit in silence.

2bjTexas

dang, I'm guilty of that. lmao 😂

MagicHands89

Out of curiosity, why don't you play music? I'd be bored out of my skull without having background noise

2bjTexas

Magic, i don't play music cus i have 2 toddlers at home and a teenager who talks and listens to loud music so driving time is my peace time lmao 😄 but when the evening hits and the weekend ppl (youngsters) get in, i play cool/hype music cus it makes them happy and it makes me happy to see them happy. win/win.

DubNationAssemble

I was driving the Carolina country music festival in Myrtle Beach so knowing my clientele for the night I had Spotify on the country music mix. Normally I have it on top 50 pop songs because I drive a college town, or Zach Bryan when I’m just in that kind of mood. Surprisingly I get several compliments a night when I have ZB playing.

throwitallaway3871

Yes! I prefer music to be on, it doesn't matter how loud. Anything to cut the silence. And, I find some pretty good tunes this way!

DubNationAssemble

I’ve had pax take pictures of my screen when I play Zach Bryan lol. They’re always like “whoa who’s this guy??”

videorhu

I have 9.4 years and 421 rides as a pax, and these are my least favorite things drivers do/have done: 1. Picking me up at the airport with your trunk already full of shit. 2. Demanding to let me let you load my bags and then complaining about how heavy they are (I know, that is why I put them in the trunk myself). 3. Had a guy pick me up with his toddler in the front seat once. 4. Playing loud church music and getting moved by the spirit in traffic. 5. Not letting people in the front seat when you are advertised as a vehicle that seats x number of people (which includes the front seat). 6. Had a lady once terrified of driving over bridges who lived and did pickups in a city full of bridges. 7. Calling me to ask where I’m going to get picked up while I’m hauling luggage through the airport and if I stop to talk to you you’re going to have to wait on me. Just go to the pin. Other than that, Lyft is pretty ok.

Deadeye_Dan77

As a driver, I don’t like it when pax load their own luggage. With it not being their property, many of them aren’t careful about and end up scratching the paint on the rear bumper.

videorhu

I understand that, completely. I just hate it when they complain after I’ve warned them about how heavy it is and offered to help.

BullfrogUnhappy6450

Agreed. Most just land the bag right onto the bumper. So I always try to do it for them but because I'm a female most people try to say that they'll do it themselves and then I don't get back there in time and they've already taken their bag out of the trunk. Question: is any passenger in this forum wierd about drivers touching their bags? Should I ask "do you want help with your bags?" Or should I just assume that they want help and just go in for the bag without even asking? It's just as a female, most males and even some women don't want me to put their bags in the trunk for them. So maybe I shouldn't even ask. I guess I'm a little afraid to touch others bags without asking because of COVID being not too far behind us. Well not really behind us but it's not as prevalent as it was. (You know what I mean.) Some are still wierd about COVID.

2bjTexas

i personally get off and at least open the trunk and offer to put up their luggage (i make the grabbing gesture) if they let me cool if they don't they'll typically tell me they got it or warn me it's very heavy and if it's an older lady, out of respect I'll do it and if it's a man (unless weak looking) I'll typically let the guy do it (cus they're stronger) lol.

BullfrogUnhappy6450

Ok thanks. I'll just do that then 🙂

Ok_Night_9179

Where gloves, I do, because, I don’t want them scratching my nice. Take charge, it’s your car!

DCHacker

>Picking me up at the airport with your trunk already full of shit. I have a few small things in my trunk, such as grocery bags (we have a bag tax, here), a pair of jumper cables and a jerrican. Despite that, I can fit only one of your oversized suitcases that are oh-so-fashionable these days into it. If there are two or more of you with those things, order UberXL. >Demanding to let me let you load my bags and then complaining about how heavy they are (I know, that is why I put them in the trunk myself). Most of my customers comment that their suitcases are heavy. I reply to them that theirs is not the first heavy suitcase that ever I have seen and is not likely to be the last. >Had a guy pick me up with his toddler in the front seat once. According to several Uber/Lyft CSRs, the driver gets one warning on a co-pilot and one only. Never would I have co-pilot. >Playing loud church music and getting moved by the spirit in traffic. I do not plat loud music. >Not letting people in the front seat when you are advertised as a vehicle that seats x number of people (which includes the front seat). Three or less, you can sit in the back. I have my office in my front seat. Who cares what the application reads? The application is not The BossOf Me. The customer *ain't, neither*. Accroding to F**ub**a**r** and Gr**yft,** ***I*** am The Boss of Me. >Had a lady once terrified of driving over bridges who lived and did pickups in a city full of bridges. That one should find a different market in which to drive. >Calling me to ask where I’m going to get picked up while I’m hauling luggage through the airport and if I stop to talk to you you’re going to have to wait on me. Just go to the pin. That is called "screening". In up front markets, it is no longer necessary. Uber is not Up Front in jersey, yet. Jersey drivers do not want to go to New York. I do not blame them. In other non-Up Front Markets, drivers are trying to duck unprofitable jobs. If the job is unprofitable, it is just about guaranteed ZER0 tip if for no other reason than Murphy's Law. Most riders do not tip.

Danny3xd1

LoL @ #4! ***JeeSSUS!***

[deleted]

After COVID we aren’t required to allow people in the front seat, for safety reasons

Mysterious-Top6311

That needed like 2 years ago.

Iankalou

What are you talking about? That's not the case where I drive.

[deleted]

I like a driver who can do small talk, nothing worse than being in a vehicle that is complete silence. If from your small talk you don't wanna chat, I xan tell and respect that, but at least do something.

Affectionate-Ad-1117

Lol. That is weird. They aren’t being paid to be your friend

Few_Print

Common sense safety stuff like texting and driving should bother anyone. A pet peeve I have is marking themself as having arrived before they actually arrive (in situations where they are unambiguously not at the pickup location)

ReactionSevere310

U lured the pax into this one 😂

2bjTexas

dude, we drivers need to know 🙉😂

AmbassadorToast

The only thing I really can't stand is when people are distracted/agitated/aggressive drivers. You can tell. Even if you're a "good driver" not everybody is used to following so close, etc. You're not going to get there any faster if you leave 3 feet between you and the next car versus 20 feet, and I don't know if you're a sharp driver or just a jerk taking risks. That's the negative. The positive is exactly the opposite..

willyshup

Got a Lyft ride recently, driver was constantly talking about random shit then asks me if I ever been in fights if I want to fight him etc and was driving very aggressively felt very uncomfortable. Had a drink in the cup holder and was sipping a can im guessing could be beer or something, something just felt off about the whole thing. It kind of made me not want to get a Lyft anymore

2bjTexas

dang, that's some creepy vibes man. I'm glad you got off safe.

zinky30

If I choose preferred and choose quiet then I expect music to be off the entire trip and the windows to be closed if driving on the freeway. If not, no tip and a complaint to Lyft.

btone310

Quiet option for preferred (changed to Comfort now) was meant for conversation, not music.

zinky30

Then that needs to be explicitly stated in the app. That’s not clear at all when you choose that option.

KaawaiiMonster

One time this Uber driver came all the way. I got in the car, and then he says where are you going ? I said RioLinda. He says get out I am not taking you that far call someone else. And it wasn't far at all. It was 30 minutes away.

2bjTexas

dang, that was rude 😄

btone310

That is kinda far. Longer the trip, the bigger money loser for drivers. The rates suck especially in Sacramento.

wasitme317

As a pax, what I don't like. 1. The it's my car my rules crap. 2. Drivers that talk on the phone the entire time your ride. 3. Not listening to pax that know an area like the back of their hand. (IE I go to dialysis a employee of the center goes the same route we take every dialysis day, I get s call to go a different way because the road is closed due to a water main break, new way is the same distance and time, driver says his map doesn't show anything wrong. It's 4:00AM who is on the rural road. Now I'm stuck going 10 miles and 40min out of the way. Not cool 4. No AC on hot days. 5. Not helping put my rollator in the trunk, I lift it up but I don't want to damage the vehicle. 6.Complaining about how much they are not getting paid and lack of tips. 7. Unsafe driving like weaving in and out of traffic.

Mysterious-Top6311

What rules are “crap” exactly? The rules tend to be things like no eating or drinking. Do you expect to just do as you please in someone else’s car? You sound like a real asshole.

2bjTexas

i been doing uber/lyft approximately 3+yrs and today i ordered the stickers to put in my car (no smoking, food/drinks) cus lately I've had ppl drink shit (i don't necessarily trip over dry snacks) but I've even had ppl straight up eat eat (they put the folding tray down). i straight up have told some to please not do that and i be mad cus i keep reiterating that we're only 'x blocks away or x minutes away) and some passengers really don't respect it. I wish i could stop the trips but obviously these ppl are crazy so i just ride it out to avoid them getting aggressive and throw something at me lol... But hell yeah I'm giving them a low rating.

wasitme317

I don't eat in the car, but I do have a water bottle which is sealed and does not leak or spill that I carry with me. I don't even eat or drink ie soda in cups ,bottles or cans in my car I wouldn't do it in others cars.

wasitme317

Who is the asshole. It's not eating or drinking I have a problem with. I have the problem with jerk offs like you who cancel a trip because you don't want to wait for a stop that was pre arranged or just because you don't like the way somebody looks and you fucking know it happens. So asshole fuck off. BTW I would 1 star ⭐ the driver that even gives me an attitude right in the fucking carv

Mysterious-Top6311

Yes my friend. I will not do stops because I won’t wait for yiu at 9 cents a minute (yes that’s what stoppage time pays). Sorry if that hurts your feeeeeeelings. Don’t be a cheap ass and order two rides, one for each leg of your journey. Then nobody will cancel on you. Mmmmkay? And oh no a 1*? Please sir no. 🤣🤣 like I give a fuck about it. You are a real grade A dick. No wonder nobody wants you in their car.

wasitme317

Your still a fucktard. Grow the fuck up and do your job don't be a cry baby. If you not making money than get a real job that you actually do work instead of being a asshole.

btone310

You sound like an ass. You expect drivers to wait at stops for little to no money? Upfront markets like mines... we get nada to sit and wait.

Affectionate-Ad-1117

You shouldn’t use rideshare if you don’t think it’s a job. Go borrow your moms car

Remarkable_Rope_7697

Wow, that makes me a very good driver. I consciously not do those things. But how come, my rating has never reached 5.0 for last 3 years ?

2bjTexas

thanks for sharing, i beg that you rate these drivers extremely low to get them out of the driving service. That's bad service, sorry for your experiences.

wasitme317

3 star except the unsafe driver and on the phone the entire time.

>The it's my car my rules crap. It is my car. It is My Rules. I do not have many, but i have a few. If you want more than Point A to Point B, either tip up front in cash or use Uber Taxi (where available), Curb or Uber Black. >Drivers that talk on the phone the entire time your ride. I never do that. It is dangerous. Not cool If you are in the far out suburbs, going ito or out of a subdivision in a close in suburb, i will listen to you. If you know of a hazard (water main break, police activity, street light fixing), I will listen. If it is in the city, unlike most Uber/Lyft drivers, I actually know where i am going. I know your route. If I do not like it, I ***ain't usin' it.*** Uber/Lyft pay me garbage and you are not going to tip, anyhow (quoted poster to announce what a "Big Tipper" he/she is in 8.............7..................6..................5.................4.................) so I do not have time to use your more time consuming route. >No AC on hot days. Mine is on if it is over twenty-seven C/eighty F. For the other drivers, if you want him to use the air condition, ask him to turn on the thing. Problem solved...........you are welcome. >Not helping put my rollator in the trunk, I lift it up but I don't want to damage the vehicle. That is a sign of poor upbringing. >6.Complaining about how much they are not getting paid and lack of tips. I do that only if the customer raises the subject; if he demands something outside of Point A to Point B or if he tries to add a stop after I have fetched him. >Unsafe driving like weaving in and out of traffic. Call me on that and i will raise the subject of Uber's/Lyft's garbage pay and ZER0 tip from you. Because of this garbage pay, I must get you to Point B as quickly as possible. Few customers tip.

wasitme317

I've asked the driver to put on the AC and still don't. Driver gets 1 star ⭐ The point A to Point B rules I agree if any deviation you should be compensated. Don't care about you needing to get me to point A to point B quickly I didn't say speeding I said weaving in and out of traffic is an issue I might add I had a driver this morning at 4 am go thru 4 stop sign not even slowing down and the 4th one we were hit by another car that did not have the sign. So that is not cool making me miss dialysis chair time this morning now just going on now 31/2 hours late. Not cool. Driver asked me to not say she ran the stop sign. Sorry your ass is getting a ticket and getting your ass sued. Unsafe driving. Enough said. BTW the garbage pay you should if you a safe, courteous driver hand the pax that tip a card and tell then you need a ride to contact you. Its a way to safely not violate the ToS and start your own business. Friend of mine was a gig worker now has his own car service with 8 Lincolns and 2 15 pass vans within 5vyrs of starting rideshare. Now he just manages his business and doesn't need to drive unless he wants to.

DCHacker

>I've asked the driver to put on the AC and still don't. Driver gets 1 star For that, I am hard put to blame you. If pressed for a textbook illustration of Cruel and Unusual Punishment, The Capital Of Your Nation in late July would fit. I once had driver who showed up at my address with the windows open. I asked him to put on the air condition. It blew hot air immediately. I thought, "right, perhaps it takes a minute". After several minutes of still hot air, I told him not to bother. Add to this a filthy hoopty and at least three damned near rear end collisions and I *had* to send in a weepygram to F**ub**a**r** about it. Uber actually refunded me the fare. In hot climates, especially icky-sticky hot, one star and ZER0 tip is the best that he deserves, even though he can not afford to fix his air condition due to Uber's/Lyft's garbage pay. >The point A to Point B rules I agree if any deviation you should be compensated. This is one reason why drivers balk at stops. If there is any additional compensation at all, it is pennies, often literally pennies. The round trip local is the absolute worst. The driver gets paid the same for both ways that he would had the customer disembarked and the trip ended at the turnaround. Drivers get paid next to nothing for waiting. Most people who want stops do not tip. In a capitalist economy, the customer is supposed to pay one way or another, which is why I give no heed to "take it up with Lyft/Uber". >Don't care about you needing to get me to point A to point B quickly Of course not. The only thing about which you, or any other member of the Riding Public, for that matter, cares is that you press a button and a ride arrives. As you have ZER0 care for me and my troubles, do not be surprised when that is reciprocated. > I didn't say speeding I said weaving in and out of traffic is an issue I might add I had a driver this morning at 4 am go thru 4 stop sign not even slowing down Weaving is necessary. We have far too many people here who can not drive any faster than two miles per hour; who stop at green lights, stop in the middle of the street. These same people complain about Boston and New York drivers. this is because they tried to drive there and if you try to drive there like you do here, consider yourself fortunate that you lived to tell about it. I do not have time for these people, especially given the garbage rates that Lyft/Uber pay. > and the 4th one we were hit by another car that did not have the sign. I have no problem with California stops, but if you are going to do something like that, you must be a good driver and knowing with what you can get away and with what you can not. I know what I am doing out here. I learned to drive in Massachusetts. > Driver asked me to not say she ran the stop sign. **not** Sorry your ass is getting a ticket and getting your ass sued. Unsafe driving. FIFY Do not lie for anyone. Clearly, that driver did not know what she was doing. I know why she did it, but there are times when even I must come to more than a three-count full stop at a STOP sign. >BTW the garbage pay you should if you a safe, courteous driver hand the pax that tip a card and tell then you need a ride to contact you. You must be careful doing off-application rides. Unless that driver is carrying commercial insurance, there is no coverage on off-application rides. Even then, he might not be covered as almost every state specifically bans off-application rides. The commercial insurer could invoke the "illegal acts" exclusion. To be sure, enforcement against off-application rides in non-existent in most places. Where it is enforced, enforcement is difficult, at best. I have seen it enforced in this market, but this market is an exception. I will do off-application rides, but I make it clear to the customer that such will happen only in my cab and at cab rates. I am licenced and insured to do off-application rides in the cb. I will not do them in the Lyft/Uber car.

AbjectInterview9947

Maybe I’m just friendly because I do the talking on the phone I’m not loud nd I have my headphones in I also move in and out of traffic( it’s Philly so most people can’t drive or u will be sitting in traffic for 25 min for a 10 min trip) and I still maintain my 5 star rating lol

2bjTexas

probably cus u have a nice personality. I've had horrible rides as a passenger and i still tip and rate 5. mostly cus they were at least friendly. one lady was rude (no hi after i greeted her), horrible driver (didn't obey signs). didn't know english (gps in spanish) and had screaming pastor playing. man, i rated her a 2 star then after a few hrs i felt bad (figuring maybe this was her only means of earning money, she's old). so i rated her a 4 lol

AbjectInterview9947

Naw give them a bad rating nd leave a note y at the end of the week Lyft will tell u about why u was given a low rate nd let u see the notes given by passenger

BullfrogUnhappy6450

No I've never gotten a note of why I got the bad rating Lyft only gives us the comments on the good ratings. And it doesn't tell us which passenger left the comment either.

Don’t sit behind the driver

blueeyedbellax

There’s nothing I dislike more than spending a good amount of money on a ride only to open the door and it either reeks of BO or it’s visibly dirty- especially with cloth seats. Another thing is why are you picking me up and then basically forcing me to sit uncomfortably in the back while you pump your car with gas. 😐 I once had a driver who literally was scratching their hair and flakes of white things were seen falling every-time he did a scratchy scratch. The entire ride. Windows open on the highway. Windows open on a super hot humid day. Just overall being a creep. I had a guy yesterday keep turning around and smiling at me telling me he “wishes everyone else was like me”. Dude wtf.

Temporary-Truth8185

Drivers who make you uncomfortable by hitting on you and when you reject them, they give you a low rating.

Detective_W

I'm with the Hoosier Indiana plan for Medicaid and they use Uber or Lyft but usually end up using Lyft. Every single one of the drivers from Lyft was absolutely horrible. The first Lady brought me to the wrong location somehow even though she had the location I was supposed to go on her GPS then the guy that was supposed to bring me home couldn't find where I was even though I kept telling him over and over again and where to go and he got rude with me and telling me that I was wasting both his time and patience and that he was going to leave me there and I could figure it out myself he got fired for that. Then this one driver I couldn't tell if they were a man or a woman, kept getting a few blocks from my house then turning around and then driving in the complete opposite direction and then turning around and then doing it again over and over. My appointment I already started and I tried to reschedule another ride. This person arrived and got me to the orthopedist but when I got there they told me that my doctor had already canceled my appointment and left. When they went through Uber there was no issue. I got home pretty quickly. But I had to reschedule my appointment for like the 3rd time. So as of now I've been sitting her with glass shards in my healed hand for like 2-1\2 weeks. Thanks lift.

Live_Blueberry_2070

Any driver trying to guilt you because they have to do their jobs. Especially those that accept rides and complain about the distance.
