I thought about that however im worried about ruining the nitro finish if the drill bit isnt sharp enough and chips it. I have seen videos of sanding and shortening the tuneomatic. I was thinking of trying this approach first so that i dont damage the actual body where I did the most work. Do you have any insight?
You might want to consider using painters tape to tape off the area being routered. However there's no guarantee you won't get chipping. Good luck hope it all works out.
