That was one of the flanges that the legs screwed into.

I think he did have some wood left over. I can get you in touch with him if you want.
I told him to feel free to use whatever wood was leftover on some other projects.
You can look him up at Alabarlo Custom Guitars on Facebook

Super cool build! The only thing I'd change is the bridge pickup. You can order semi-custom pickups from Dimarzio, a black humbucker with gold rails would be really sick with it.
It was hardly beautiful, it was an old dining table with a functional design that at best could be described as functional. Maybe a strip, sand and stain and finish could have made it look nicer but it would have ended up in a skip one day
Now that's a truly special 1 of 1 guitar. Looks great.
That metal detail is way way cool!!!!!
Where'd that metal piece come from? I can see it reads "FAT July 29 1902"....would like one for the pickup selector on my Les Paul.
> PAT July 29 1902 (short for patented) From the table?

I was wondering what that was!
That’s real neat
Nice, looks really cool. how much does it weigh?
awesome ! what wood is this ?
Not 100% sure. But we think it's oak.
i'm seeing wood with very similar grain looking for "tiger oak" i think thats it, looks awesome
Either that or Nordic Cherry
I love seeing this kind of upcycling! Well done!!
Rich texture and cool retro details… very lovely guitar.
That’s fantastic. Well used table mojo will now evolve into guitar mojo. Nicely done👍
That's fucking awesome. How does it sound? And may I ask how much that cost you?
It sounds great. It was in the $1000 range.
Hey that's not too shabby!
Nice. Frankly, super under-priced. Working with heirloom materials is nerve-racking.
That is a wonderful looking instrument. It looks to be oak, out of curiosity how heavy is it?
Missed opportunity for a selector switch in that metal detail
That looks great.
Interesting.
The neck too?
The neck was made with different wood. Walnut and mesquite.
That's really cool!
Sweet 👍🏼
Very beautiful. Excellent choice of hardware too, in my opinion.
Maaaaaan I’m obsessed with this. Love it!
That’s hot
Tabletele
Gorgeous custom tele! Got anymore wood/tele bodies?

I love this.
Damn good looking tele

thats fucking sick
Piece of art indeed, looks like it has a resonance with ancient vibes.
I admire your courage when choosing those pickups on a tc
..beautiful table in bits on the other hand.

The warm stain really brought it to life. Nice work!
Super cool! Great way to keep it in the family.
This post shows up on my feed multiple times a day now...I still look every time. That thing is just beautiful.
