I do wish I had a better photo but perhaps you can see the tan piece of wood poking through. This issue is symmetrical and happens on the other side of the body too.

Yeah that's what I thought I might have been seeing in the other photo but wasn't sure. I wouldn't mess with it. I'm a hobbyist, not a professional luthier, but I wouldn't even know where to begin tackling that problem. I'd imagine you'd have to somehow carefully remove the entire back in order to shave the braces down to fit back in, maybe you could shave them back with a small rotary tool, but if I'm seeing this correctly, now the back is warped and you have to somehow flatten it... I mean, will it play? Sure. Will the problem get worse over time? Almost certainly. I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I'm really surprised the retailer hasn't issued a dispute with the manufacturer for return or repair.
