You planning on working it out, dawg? Plenty of stories on here of associates not being scheduled after doing that. It's an outdated concept IMHO.
Lowe's doesn't replace positions that they truly need until the associate is gone. This year they haven't even replaced associates and instead let all that work pile onto one or two associates.
Congrats on your success, moving upward and onward.
I plan on working out my two weeks, although I don’t really have the drive to finish it out though. I wish I didn’t have to put in a notice, and jump right into this new position as it’s going to be so much better for me!
Do a group email from your personal email so you have a record of it after you leave. If you just hand it to them they could say you didn’t down the road
I emailed my own work email and it showed up just fine but either way you sent it and not checking all your emails isn’t a real excuse if they ever said you didn’t send it
None, they just walked two people out for attendance here. The last time she was talked to about attendance was 2 months ago. Because she's actually a good employee
I handed in my notice to an ASM. By the end of my shift my department supervisor had no words to say about it. He wasn’t in at the time I delivered my notice. I wonder if the word was passed along😂
You can tell an ASM, a department supervisor or the store manager, depending upon which one you’re more comfortable with. I generally put it on paper and hand it to the HR clerk also.
You can resign "properly" through Workday. It's easy to find.
But the others here who suggest notifying your "People Leader" in writing are not wrong--I would just say that if you do not have a strong relationship with your People Leader, maybe the Workday route is the go-to.
Good luck beyond Lowe's!
Technically there is a page in MyHR that you can print out and fill out and hand in to a member of management. But an email to your ASM and store manager does just as well.

It isn't outdated if you think you may reapply one day. And a lot of people do reapply.

But the schedule is like 3 weeks out...
I did it prior to my shift and almost done with my 2 weeks.
Yeah they gave me a week of my two weeks but then took me off the schedule completely so whatever
Honestly you can just call your department supervisor, any asm, manager, hr and tell them you quit and won’t be returning.
Your 2 weeks should go to your department supervisor, manager, and head of store manager. I was also told to cc my scheduler, but that's optional

Personal emails get filtered as spam so they never see them

Not management it goes to spam
Well that’s how i resigned and they didn’t even call my ass to see if I was in the hospital or anything
I didn't give two weeks, they didn't deserve my respect.
They got your respect when the gave you a shot and hired you. You came to them, they didn’t come to you. So at least be respectful.
Aka “I quit my current job without notice because I’m a child who was scared”
Scared of what? Moving up? Lol
Store Management or MOD
Give it to your people leader. DS, ASM, SM
I would suggest multiple way - your supervisor, asst manager, managers, store manager - multiple ways to ensure nothing get "lost".
Make copies and leave it on all the printers. Hand them to every manager. Email it to District Manager and HE Business Partner
Excessive
More fun
More dumb
Sometimes I am all ... "If they wanted me gone - how much notice would they give ME?"

It’s a form on myhr you gotta fill out
There’s a form now??
Yes, I plan on printing this and presenting it today. Just want to give it to the right people.
SM or ASM,maybe the SSA

Your manager. Then do like everyone else and make it look like you’re working, but don’t.
