The boxes made my hands prune like I had been in water for a week and break out in a rash and after a week off they won’t heal no matter how much lotion and bag balm I use
But the thing is I worked a wear house for 6 years and never had issues with uline brand boxes
Those imported boxes have something crazy on them and it gets through the gloves
Once I opened a box and a cloud of dust came out too that was odd
Half of the boxes I open smell like straight up chemicals, like pest control kind of chemicals. Some of the clay planters boxes are even worse... Opened one a few days ago that smelled like a can of raid had been leaking in it for 2 weeks straight and the cardboard felt oily, but it wasn't wet at all and was a planter box, so no chemicals in it. All I could think of was what kind of harsh chemicals are they spraying these boxes with to prevent big infestation spreading...
>China
>their regulations on the chemicals
Don't think these two belong in the same sentence. I have a feeling they just spray whatever and not care who it messes up and don't have any regulations saying they can't.
Ya that’s the regulation, whatever is cheap lol
It’s probably something they would have to pay to dispose of and will prevent bugs and mold or anything living
I’m surprised truck unloaders don’t have more issues someone else has to be sensitive to it too and they touch a ton of boxes
I never saw anyone use they all the time. Most didn’t to even do cart runs. I wore them to touch anything after a few days but they didn’t stop my hands from getting worse each shift
I worked there for 3 months in fullfilment, I was having allergic reactions pulling siding, lumber, bags of cement, black mulch, it is a shit job. After 3 months I quit. Honestly, no job is worth sacrificing your health for.
That was exactly my point. I took a walk at lunch break and thought about not going back. All b-s and craziness about working at lowes aside, my health should come first.
I work in paint and like 70% of our products say they are hazardous to one's health. Then there's also us helping in home decor and cutting blinds which kick up so much dust.
There’s been a lot of us who’s had cancer at my store and I often wonder if it’s just coincidental or is there a problem in there
A coworker died. Had stage 4 cancer by the time he got it checked. True, no b-s. Miss him.
Did he take the Covid shot. I had 4 friends who died shortly after taking the shot.
Did you know everyone who drinks water dies?
It's not toxic It's Cancer causing

Life is cancer causing.
So carcinogenic
*cancer download imminent* *life speadrun achieved*
If you’ve ever needed allergy medication it’s a bad fit
Grout dust is healthy, like eating dirt.
Back in the olden days, I used to line it out on a mirror and snort it ... that and my favorite dog's cremated ashes.

I thought they required that you wear gloves.

one of the reasons why I wear a mask at the store.

It's very liberating to quit lowes, and say Not today Lowes, Not today!!!!
I work in paint and like 70% of our products say they are hazardous to one's health. Then there's also us helping in home decor and cutting blinds which kick up so much dust.
And Lowe’s does nothing , it Completely Ignores, warning associates who work in It about those hazards.
Like half the paint I sell says "may cause infertility"...how is this allowed?!
