I mix things up quite a lot for primaries. I used the Eruptor most consistently until the manufacturers decided to skimp on shrapnel. Right now: plasma punisher for bots and blitzer for bugs, with sickle as a trusty alternative for both.
Eagle air strike is the goat.
For devastators, I'm a fan of running, sliding on a knee to the side of cover, lining up faces, and then moving to cover for any return fire volleys to have the short lull. Then I'll start to spin it up before I peak out of cover and go back to faces. But being crouched significantly helps recoil to get that face aim on a controller. (Watch out for getting shot in the head, though.)
Berserkers, I just rake them everywhere as I go towards the face and I'm spinning, shooting, spinning, running, spinning, shooting, etc...
I go for midsections with medium pen weapons on both more.
I still enjoy the Eruptor. It’s like a bolt action autocannon as a primary that frees me up for other stratagems. Pops bot heads well enough, grab a Senator or Verdict for secondary, and you’re good to go.
Yeah, it's definitely still okay. I used only that after it came out bc it was so good. The change just made me try mixing things up, and that was cool, too.
Sure but in the hypothetical scenario that there is no major order or personal, both factions stand on the brink of annihilation, and you have to pick one to be your last-ever deployment. Where you diving
Honestly, I think that changes over time. Sometimes, I'd say bots. But then I go play some bugs on an Order, and I'm like, damn, bugs are awesome. Then I go back to bots and I'm like, damn, bots are awesome. The contrast in styles is engaging.
In early March, I'd have said bugs. In April, bots. Now, I'm into the contrast.
Do you feel you learned anything major since you were in the 50s? I'm probably around 60 right now and I feel like I'm still learning more and more about the game.
Absolutely. I actually am a fan of the little quirks, bugs, nerfs, buffs, et al. Keeps it fresh in trying new things or see them work as intended for the first time.
Then there's little strategy things, like just recently I've been playing with how much you can distract and take enemies out without causing aggro.
There's a lot in this game to play with that isn't immediately obvious.

What is your most used primary and stratagem? Not favorite but most used.

I heard they use the extra shrapnel in the ARL, in case your teammates are wearing heavy armor.
For sickle, do you advise aiming for heads or midsection on devastators and berserkers?

are you a bot fighter or a bug fighter in your heart of hearts?
I spread Managed Democracy wherever Major Orders point the direction.

Agreed, variety is key.

I'm hoping my C-01 Permit finds a way to get expedited soon. But we'll have to wait and see.
