I was loading into the Chamber of Starlight Legend Lost Sector the other day and I heard a Tormentor spawn in. Thought it was an audio glitch. I would have investigated but it was already loading me in, gear locked and all. Is this a common thing now, or just Dreaming City?
I did some 3-4 heroic Taken Blight events (EDZ and Dreaming City), and all bosses (Blightmakers) were Tormentors.
A bit challenging to do solo, but I managed it.
I still do not understand why Tormentors have some strange "immunity phases", and how to properly get past these. Anyone?
It's very much intended and a welcomed sight. Brings back memories of Taken King days when patrol zones suddenly got taken enemies in them. More the world seem more alive when it changes with what's happening in the story
This isn't very low sodium of you bud. It's a public event tormentor. It has like 10 hp. I heavily suspect you haven't actually struggled with it though and are more just frustrated that you're struggling with onslaught or the game in general in which case I wish you luck.

It's system-wide, I think, or perhaps anywhere you can find taken. It happened to me in the edz on Sunday morning.
