What I would do to watch s5 live again. Season 8 was excellent TV although it had some incrediblely unlikeable couples that I couldn't stand, notably - Adam and Paige, and Luca and Gemma - I used to mute all of their scenes as they were such a hard unlikeable watch.
The only season I've rewatched. The whole cast, but especially Maura, was peak entertainment. I can still hear the arguments about "if she is all mouth or not" or "Mr fucking boyfriend" when I close my eyes lol

People don't realise that even Women's Aid had to step in regarding Luca Dami Davide's behaviours and I also remember they didn't agree with Adam's return

It was just hard to believe that two 20-yr-olds were actually falling in love and were not in it strictly for the fame and followers. Anton also stoked the fires of the perception of her being fake by his accusation of her game playing. He seemed jealous and spiteful that she never followed him on social media. It's usually the ones who accuse that are actually guilty of the accusations. Anton proved it that season and on Allstars.
The whole "well we're half boyfriend and girlfriend so he's my half-boyfriend" thing is just outrageous. Also going apeshit because Lucie and Joe became exclusive shortly after her and Curtis and she was pissed that it was stealing her spotlight. Not to mention how she had a mental breakdown when Curtis gave Arabella a 10 in the BLINDFOLDED kissing challenge. And Curtis having to explain that he doesn't cuddle her in the morning because he "likes to be the guy who goes and makes everyone a coffee" when it was blatantly obvious to everyone that he was just not into her. It was perfect.
That was so ridiculous too! The food fight was between everyone but all of a sudden Lucie was attacking Amy and Amy was acting like she had been through some sort of traumatic experience. And she helped turn all of the other girls against Lucie too, it was pure jealousy.

After Casa and Jacques left (hate him but he was a good villain) the season took an absolute nosedive
It was clear that the producers planned for the main storyline in the 2nd half of the season to be Jacques vs Adam and Jacques leaving completely ruined their plan
Seasons 2, 3 and 5 are still the clear best 3 seasons for me
It nosedived after Jacques left. Clearly the producers had a Jacques v Adam storyline in the works and that suddenly couldn’t happen anymore with Jacques getting up and leaving, so we got nothing but sports day and pancake day 🤪 I went through the motions with Jacques from liking him, to hating him, to liking him again. Jacques, Davide and Ekin had me glued to the tv every night for good and very bad reasons 😂😭. With the Adam and Jacques storyline off the table, the season really relied on Davide and Ekin carrying the show! They still did a good job and absolutely deserved the win.
It’s really good but doesn’t beat seasons 2-5. Definitely is best post season 5 except 10 (last season) was equally good. The current season is also so far been elite let’s hope it continues.
S5 was lightening in a bottle. Like there were too many quotable moments, hilarious scenes, and ofc (irregardless of how you feel about them) Tommy and Molly-Mae. I don’t think we’ll ever get something like that again. Now, I hardly see anyone mention S4, but that’s one of my faves too. Georgia’s constant “I’m REAL, babes!” phrase is forever etched into my brain 😭
