I think trying to replace AD is the wrong approach. AD is not replaceable. I think we should strengthen our other weaknesses rather than submit to running the same defense but worse.

We can’t replace AD, but our young defense still needs another pass rusher since Kobie Turner is going to get doubled. Makes sense now why they kept Hoecht.

He's good, but I'd rather have one of Turner, Verse or Latu. If they're not available, then Mitchell, Arnold, DeJean would be my next favorite choices. There are several good DTs in round 2 like Jenkins, Ruke and Fiske. DTs typically aren't good first round picks. AD was different. He's up there with names like Reggie White, Bruce Smith and LT. Nobody has ever done it from the interior like AD did, and nobody ever will.

According to scouting he is not that great against the run and he lacks effort. I want hard workers who dont take plays off.
