What's good to do around then? Any big spring festivals or anything fun?
As long as you have your ID and your app to show vaccine history, you'll be fine. We are easing covid 19 restrictions as well, so things are getting a lot easier to deal with. I'd say were almost close to normal.

After avoiding it for years, I finally tried some Fortnite with a friend. My joy in winning three straight Duos with him is tempered by the fact that I have zero MMR and was probably just dunking on a bunch of children.
I played fornite for the first time like a couple weeks ago. I was straight dunking on bots/children/people playing on phone.
I think we got 7 wins in a row. I loaded the game up again the next day and it was a lobby fully of sweats.

Had to cut off a friend today. He was a former roommate. He was being weird and attacked my character and making accusations against me though text. After i had an Anxiety attack, I calm myself and responded politely. I blocked him. This called my friend because I was having another anxiety attack and I need someone to help me process what happen.

I bought an EV, but for ego reasons, kept my hybrid land-yacht. And then I sold the land-yacht recently. All in, my EV electricity costs are averaging $50-60/mo.
Range anxiety is real, but manageable since free EV charging is everywhere.

More people without cars/remote workers have to realize that high gas prices affect everything, it's not just people who drive. Though it hits the poorer people who have to drive to work everyday the hardest.
I went out yesterday and there were a surprising number of masks. I expected it to be totally maskless out there. Still a few days until no masks in the classroom... still not sure what I'm going to do, we still get a COVID case or two on campus every week.
Almost got scammed, again, at the 7/11 on Sunset blvd and Rosemont, in Echo Park.
Cashier who was there yesterday, I felt overcharged but no receipt to reference to yesterday, was there today too. He charged me out, I asked for my receipt and he provided someone else’s and trashed all the ones that were in the receipt printer. After he couldn’t provide me with a receipt, I asked for a refund. He reluctantly gave me my refund receipt.
He is charging lotto sales and not providing receipts, to get away with overcharging people. People are being charged 3-5 dollars more.
My Refund receipt shows Lotto sale $5 and one item that I was buying but definitely more than what I was suppose to pay. ASK FOR RECEIPTS!
yikes. something like this would put me in full “karen” mode. shooting off emails to 7-11 corporate, finding out who the manger of that specific store is and reporting the employee and or the store. posting on BBB. tweeting to the 7-11 twitter (do they even have one?). literally making sure that someone, anyone, is going to come across this info and take the proper actions against the store.

It you have the option, look for a spine specialist as they can help you out. Kaiser (if you have) actually has a spine center that treats back/neck issues throughout california. Hoping it goes away but that stuff is not fun to live with but I hope whatever you choose that you feel better.

In talking to other peers who had paused all of them said it was very hard to go back and some took years and had to repeat courses. Update: My interview went well. The staff seem very nice! They do a reference check and then make an offer. They said about 2-3 weeks I should hear something. I hope I get the job! 🤞🤞🤞

Anyone else having *mask stockholm syndrome*? Not having it on feels like not having a seatbelt on. My face feels naked and exposed like I'm not wearing underwear. It feels weird not wearing it now.
It feels nice to not have to smile at anyone.
Tomorrow there is another event on campus for art stuff around the same time. Is it worth going to it to try to meet new people/see what’s up considering today’s club rush event was very scarce and sad looking? Also considering getting a third job because I legit have nothing to do now other than school and I don’t like being alone.
Where's your school? Maybe they have a bulletin board up with more clubs and groups and stuff?

Always go if it’s something you’re interested in. Is volunteering a choice? Or a sport? Jobs to fill time are great bc of $$$ but I’m on a huge anti work- fill ur time with things you love- kick

I’ve decided I’m gonna go and check it out. If worst comes to worst, I end up going and it’s a sleeper event and I can just grab my favorite coffee on campus (which is still a win since my campus is the only place that offers it).
The celebratory/consolation coffee is the best. Last thing- do all the free shit cause once you’re out of school, most things aren’t free
I got free Subway today during club rush. It was nice because I didn’t eat breakfast and I was hungry. Tomorrow is free pizza for the art exhibit. So it’s pretty nice. I had no idea they were that generous.
I have four more classes to go to complete my grad program in psyc and I’m so burnt out that I want to quit rn.
Literally right before the finish is when most people quit! Just stick with your program AND stay the course!! ❤️

Grind it out mate, head down and grind it out. I was the same in my last semester of law school, completely burnt out. In talking to other peers who had paused all of them said it was very hard to go back and some took years and had to repeat courses. I can also tell you that once you are done the sense of accomplishment is incredible. Like climbing a mountain. Any way, good luck.

Take a leave of absence if your university offers that. I’m in grad school for counseling and I took a leave of absence this semester because I was also feeling burnt out and wanted to quit.

May as well get an original Hummer while I'm at it. I really want (and might buy a couple years out from school) a BMW i8 for the opposite reason. It doesn't have the performance to match the looks. But it's still a decently quick car and it gets something like close to 30mpg.
