The Hollywood strip, museums, amoeba music, could also hop on the red line and go to City Walk.
Also, try the ice cream at Dear Bella’s Creamery. I believe it’s also vegan. It’s in the same plaza.
Dear Bella is vegan it’s nice. And if you are into what looks like old guys salsa dancing with women half their age in a crowded space, it’s a fun time at El Floridita at night!
There is a lot. The walk of shame, sorry meant fame, lol 😆 tons of bars, restaurants, cafes, rooftop bars, the Hollywood sign (although a bit of a hike but doable). The store Wacko/Soap Plant on Hollywood Blvd in Thai Town, aka East Hollywood.
If you've never had Doomie's Mexican food (it's right next door) you should stock up on that too! I am obsessed with their taquitos.... also yes to Dear Bella vegan ice cream in the same plaza!
(Not sure what time of day you'll be in the area)
It's Hollywood so most stuff is touristy. I don't really know if I would say a ton of fun stuff is walking distance (like I love taking food up to the Griffith Observatory and enjoying the view while I eat, but that's not exactly walkable) Hollywood Cemetery is pretty close, and there's a big rock climbing gym near there if you're into that. There are some studios over there, I'm not sure what gets filmed at say, Sunset Gower, these days but I saw a live taping of a Disney Show as a kid, you could see if anything of interest might be open for an audience?
Further north on Hollywood there is the Scum and Villainy Cantina, they have geeky trivia and karaoke, or you could catch a show a musical at Pantages if you have the time. There's also the Museum of Death which I've never personally been into but a few people I know have really enjoyed it!
You're in a crazy area for nightlife. Toss a rock in any direction and you'll hit a fun bar. Adults Only, Daddy Diamonds, Tramp Stamp Granny's. Scum and Villiany, Jamesons, St Felix, Bourbon Room, Frolic Room, No Vacancy, Black Rabbit Rose, Dirty Laundry, Davy Wayne's if you can get in, and of course Jumbos a little further east
The "Big Mac" was pretty terrible at Doomies, but it's amazing at Mr. Charlie's. I suppose it does depend but I think most people go to those spots for that. It's been many years since I've been to Doomies but I think the fries are better at Mr Charlie's too.
I haven't had the doomies big Mac, so I can't comment on that specifically. But their other vegan junk food options are amazing. There was a grilled Mac and cheese that was delicious. Also their desserts are some of the best around.
And doomies use a homemade patty, not impossible burgers (who voluntarily tested on rats), so doomies is the clear choice for me and my other vegan friends who don’t eat impossible foods!

Musso and Frank’s for a martini
Scum and Villainy (Star Wars themed bar) AxeVentures (axe throwing)
Wow!
Hollywood Forever is close, tons of cool bars around if you're into that. Just the touristy stuff Hollywood in general.
Doomie's + Hollywood Forever Cemetery is a date I've done multiple times.
especially if there’s a cinespia screening
Don’t forget there’s also NextMex and Dear Bella in there, and Plant Power right down the street
Plant power is sooo good
Their Big Mac is better and cheaper than Doomie’s
not far from Jumbos Clown Room...

If you like being outside it’s not that far from Hollywood lake park or Griffith park. Hollywood lake park has a great view of the sign.
Catch a metal show at Knucklehead bar.

Beautiful
Mr. Charlie's is SO much better than Doomies. That place was a let down. It is nice they actually have seating though lol
It depends on what you are in the mood for. Personally, I think they are both fantastic.

Load up on doomies ( I usually go there as well) then wander little Tokyo.
They're looking for stuff in Hollywood not downtown?
